Side of cockroaches, anyone? Beware of this establishment unless you don’t mind a side of cockroaches with your meal. I work across the street from this establishment that is frequented by most people in my office building and there have been numerous sightings of roaches at this place. Despite staying away from this spot, I took my chances with the oatmeal this morning to find something extra buried on the bottom of my container. I’m shocked this place is still open and mysteriously there is no health inspection Grade posted on their door. You have been warned!

Ordered through Unilocal for breakfast — got the Western omelet sandwich on a bialy and it was pretty good! Not life changing, but a yummy and decently-priced breakfast I will definitely use from now on.

The good — the prices are pretty decent when compare to other local delis The great — the food is delicious. I am addicted to their taco bowls.

Good option for a quick bite. I’ve been here countless times over the past several years given its close proximity to my office. They offer a large variety of breakfast and lunch options comparable to other competitors in the Midtown East landscape. Pricing is reasonable, and there’s upstairs seating if you feel like sticking around. I like their breakfast sandwiches the best, especially the bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll. It’s a sizeable portion and tastes pretty good. I’m not as impressed with lunch. The hot sandwiches have been fairly messy in my experiences, and I do not find the buffet appetizing on most occasions. However, I am a fan of the Mad Max cold sandwich and friends have complemented the quality of soups and salads. Overall, this place has everything you need during the workday grind. It’s not a bad option, but it does not stand out as significantly better than other like places in the area.

This place just sucks. I will never return. When the cooks ignore a waiting customer trying to order, as if they were invisible, then in my opinion those people need to loose their jobs or the place should shut down.

BREADANDBUTTERISAWESOME! I really wish we had this in boston. i went here with a friend and thought the buffet options were actually a lot and they were really various. They had pastas and salads and even some ethnic food. I honestly just got a yogurt parfait here and it was so good. I was made aware that its one of the more expensive places for a quick lunch pickup. But I really think the food options were good(I had some of my friends after my yogurt)

Ordered the Original Philly Cheesesteak with peppers, onions, and American Cheese. It was alright; the meat was on the dry side, so I should’ve gotten extra cheese to moisten it up.

The food presentation and concept is really good, however none of the over 10 items we got from buffet tasted good. The fresh lemonade and was nice and refreshing.

One of the most inexpensive places in midtown to grab lunch. I typically go for their hot bar or sushi bar. Lately however, the sushi bar got a new chef, and I hate to say it, but the sushi got pretty bad. The rice is sticky and watery, the fish is fishy and even my favorite miso soup is no good either. I would still go there for hot food from time to time, hence 3 stars.

I go here for lunch every day. Salad bar is probably the best in the midtown area for work lunches. Buffet is always fresh, well cooked, and well maintained. The staff is very friendly, they all have been doing a great job to win over the competitors around. Only downside — the sitting area. There is no a/c there — it gets very hot! Stuffy. This needs to be fixed.

Unlimited salad toppings is the way to go here! Due to its traffic during weekday lunch hours, there is high turnover of ingredients so it is decently fresh. It’s one of the cheapest salad spots if you love adding everything into the salad. You will get your money’s worth. Bibambap and ramen are among the cheapest as well in the immediate area. They make it right when you order it and they tend to be the shortest line. If you’re not looking for authentic Korean, Japanese food, it is really okay. The buffet is located in the back and I thought the options are pretty good. They have salmon, salads, chicken, and pasta. Not too bad.

Great food freshly prepared. Rare indeed the midtown non-tourist non-100 dollar a person eatery. Good variety — and I’m a hyper-picky fat guy! That’s the good news. Now the other news: As others have noted, the Asians who own the place and who don’t step away from the register further than 3 feet need a little house-breaking and customer service etiquette lessons. Hint: Not everyone who walks in the door is trying to rob the place. Also, the guys who work the grill remind me of that old Saturday Night Live skit where people would place orders for different things and the waiter would call back the order to the grill, «Cheeseburger!» I don’t like cheese on my hamburgers. I say hamburger pretty clearly, but the grill guys insist on putting cheese on mine. Every. Single. Time.

They increased their price to $ 8.66 for a small salad but now we have unlimited topping options. Still the best deal in town.

Awesome food… Not very hygiene friendly… But cheap and tasty. I have ate here a lot because of variety they offer. Busy place overall. Vegetarians friendly :). Food to try: Quesadilla, panini are good

They got ok selection of food. All you can get salad is a good deal. The problem is the cashier lady who seems to be an east asian. I got a juice, some breakfast buffet and she weighed and total came out to be $ 6.50. and then She said to me Seven dollar is minimum for credit card and I thought I didnt hear it well so I asked her«what did you say?» in a mild tone and then out of nowhere she yelled at me saying«Its seven dollar minimum on credit card, did you hear me??» Everyone on the line was looking at me funny and I felt embarassed when I dont deserve this kind of rude behavior from her. This totally ruined my day. I am a customer, she need to get educated on how to treat a customer with manner. I am not going back to that place eventhough it’s very close to my work.

Bought a 10 $ salad online through seamless. Paid extra for grilled chicken and Turkey. Got no meat. There are plenty of other options in the area, avoid this place.

This is a seriously good deli. They have everything from soup and sandwiches to a nice buffet and sushi. The bibimbap is really good and it’s only about $ 10. Shrimp tempura was all right also, but not best shrimp tempura however since they are the regular sized shrimp and not the jumbo variety. Udon noodles are fine. There is also a sandwich station, burrito station and a hot buffet. Buffet looks really good and presented well. will give that a go next. Prices are very reasonable. Seating area upstairs that is also very pleasing.

Their udon is one of the best in midtown. A good selection for hot buffet dishes. The line can get really long thus try to go before 12.

I just moved right across from Bread and Butter where my boss suggested a good breakfast/lunch spot. I love that their prices aren’t so expensive like the other neighboring delis. I had the Grilled Chicken with pesto and wheat penne pasta and the Chicken Tempura Udon… so unbelievably yummy. Definitely my favorite spot =)
