Excellent, try the tuna foie gras, the rack of lamb, and the seabass. Great vibe, 3 level building, good crowd. No cheap that’s for sure but the quality is excellent. Trendy and good. Recommended.

There are no words for how much I love this place, but I’ll try my best. As everyone has mentioned, the Big Eye Tuna Tart is amazing. Yes, I could eat a million of them. No, I haven’t done that yet but if you’re willing to fund this very important science thing, please private message me and we can go on a really weird date of you watching me eat this stuff. I promise you I will enjoy it. The Lychee Martini is dope, the Arugula Potato Crunchy Roll thing was also dope, their Sextet and shrimp are good. I love the service; how did they find so many attractive people to apply at once? And they smile, and they open doors for you, check your bags, smile some more. They’re basically great and I plan on coming here as often as my budget allows. Once again, please consider that weird date of funding and feeding me the Tuna Tart.

This place is epic. Not cheap by any means, but if you want to splurge on dinner, there is no better place. Every dish is swimming in flavor and created to perfection. Servers are helpful with recommendations and excellent with service. I only moved to NYC in September 2015, but this is by far the best meal I’ve had in the city so far. Can’t wait to go back!

Our party got the sushi omakase which starts at $ 48pp(~8 nigiri) but we upped it to $ 60(~10 nigiri). For the price we were paying, the quality of the fish was absolutely phenomenal. We saved the fluke/uni and ootoro until the very last and they were close your eyes and enjoy every taste good. They had a cured fluke nigiri using sticky rice which was a pleasant surprise. We were still pretty hungry after 10 nigiri so ordered some rolls(toro scallion and salmon avocado) but I would spend that additional $ on omakase next time since that was clearly the best value. If I weren’t Japanese, I would give them a 5 star but I’m nit picky with sushi. The 1 star off is for their rice which was cooked perfectly but over seasoned. Our server was so delightful and made sure our night went very smoothly.

Amazing sushi and appetizers. I ordered the big eye tuna truffle, the salmon ceviche, and the tuna crispy rice to start. They were all amazing but obviously small in portion. My sister ordered the salmon entrée which was a great size and was accompanied with delicious grilled vegetables. A friend and I each ordered our own rolls but were still hungry after. We then ordered the spicy tuna to share and were completely satisfied. Kind and fast service. The waiter gave great recommendations on how much to order and what to order. The ambiance fit both a rowdy crowd and a peaceful crowd with two floors. No complaints.

First of all, this place should probably be $$$$ instead of $$$, in my opinion, but nonetheless, it’s worth it. BondSt(Bond Street) has been a staple in the NYC hip scene for over a decade now. I first came here in the mid-2000s when it was THE place for celebrities and was Leonardo DiCaprio’s and Nicole Kidman’s favorite go-to place to be seen in public. Seemed like every night they’d be a pack of paparazzi outside waiting to see who they could get on film. Things have since quieted down, and I hadn’t been in a while, but after last night, I see they still have their«A-game» on. This place is Excellent — the quality of the food, the scene & ambiance, the beautiful people, the music and the service. Now, there’s a price you pay for that, but it’s worth it if that’s what you’re looking for. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill sushi spot(Haru, Hatsuhana, etc.), nor is it a serious traditionalist place(Gari, Yasuda, etc), but what it is, is a swanky, cool, hip scene with great music(low key DJ), awesome cocktails, tasty food and beautiful people to look at and people watch. Make sure you’ve got your best threads on or else you’ll feel out of place… just being honest. Now, for the food… Started off with some delicious cocktails(in the dark, cozy Downstairs Lounge) — their Mixologists know what they’re doing — order one — you won’t be disappointed. Went with the Toasted Barley Old Fashioned and the Lychee Martini(the combination of the lychee purée, tahitian vanilla & fresh lavender was out this world). Then up to the gorgeous Main Dining Room, where they have an excellent Wine & Sake list with great old-world options(France, Austria, etc), so decided to go with Champagne given the scene and it pairs so well with fish and sushi… good thing I paid attention in Somm school lol. Just keep in mind that prices are high for drinks/bottles here, but then again, if you’re coming here, you probably already know that. For Appetizers, we ordered the Big Eye Tuna Tart, which was soooo good, I could’ve eaten 10 of them! The tuna together with the white truffle was just spectacular. This is their«House Specialty» and what they’re known for, so make sure you order it if you come here. We also got the Grilled Baby Octopus which was perfectly cooked and tender, not tough/rubbery. Anytime you see baby octopus on the menu, it’s a must order as it’s so delicious and delicate… at least that’s my motto. For Sushi/Rolls, we ordered the: Jalapeño Scallop Roll– wasn’t too spicy and provided great flavor, and the tenderness of the scallop was phenomenal. Sesame Crusted Shrimp– was very good and I loved the flavor of the sesame, but overall, not that exciting. Scottish Salmon Sushi– for me, Scottish salmon is THE best of the salmons, and love that they have it as an option on the menu. Scallop Sushi — what can I say, I LOVE scallops and if you’re gonna get them, it might as well be here cause they’re excellent. Yellowtail Belly Sushi — I actually never had Yellowtail Belly, but I love Toro(tuna belly), so took a shot, and of course, it was excellent… not quite as good as Toro, but almost. Their Dessert Menu is absolutely amazing, with so many options, and we toyed with going with the Valhrona Chocolate Fondue, but opted for the Bread/Toffee Pudding with Yamazaki whiskey sauce as it was highly recommended by our waiter, and can tell you, she didn’t do us wrong — couldn’t have been more happy with it. Overall, this place is awesome — high quality food/sushi, cool cocktails, swanky scene, beautiful people and cozy vibe. Can’t go wrong here.

Expensive but so worth it for quality sushi with a nice atmosphere! Admit it, eating sushi with gold flakes on it feels impressive. The 6BOND Nigiri is kind of like a mini omakase, including different types of fish with creative toppings like toro with gold flake, sweet shrimp with fish roe, somethingn with a green olive on top, I don’t remember exactly but they were all great except I like salmon naked so I take off whatever’s on top of it. The toro scallion roll is unbelievable make sure you get it!

What a nice time we had there! Waiters pampered us all night. Besides the decoration of the restaurant is very nice with conformable seats. The food was so good, especially this fine big eye tuna tart with truffle oil that I definitely recommend! All plates are very well presented you never get disappointed. This restaurant is perfect for a romantic dinner or a special occasion with friends.

I’m generally not a fan of the sceney Asian fusion spots but Bondst was a pleasant surprise. First of all — the restaurant is gorgeous. It’s very unassuming from the outside but occupies 3 floors of a townhouse, and the inside feels much more UES elegant than Meatpacking rowdy. 4 of us got a selection of appetizers, entrees and a nigiri platter to share. I’d say the hot food is actually better than the sushi, which was a little overpriced and nothing to write home about. Highlights were probably the tuna tarte that everyone has posted pictures of and the sea bass. I could have snacked on the tarte all night long. The miso sea bass was also really tender and the portion was surprisingly larger than I would have expected. I only wish they gave more than 1 bite of rice to go with it.

Always have a great experience at Bondst! The restaurant has a great ambiance and the décor is beautiful. The food is amazing. I personally go just for the tuna crispy rice as it’s one of the best I’ve had. Also, I always order the rock shrimp appetizer. It’s so delicious and a decent sized portion. The thing is about this place is that it has excellent food and a great atmosphere, but it’s a little overpriced. Other than that it’s a good treat once in awhile. Would totally suggest coming here if you’re looking for a trendy sushi spot in the Noho/Soho area.

4.5 Stars Delicious food! I admit I was skeptical because I find a lot of fusion Japanese places unappealing, but most of the dishes here were really good. I was surprised and pleased. The big eye tuna tarts were interested, fresh red fish in thin slices layered on large, very thin crackers. It was tasty and enjoyable. The crispy spicy shrimp had a really good flavor. I’ve forgotten what else I ate, but I liked this place and want to go back to try more dishes! It was interesting, unique, and best of all, yummy. The atmosphere is dark, dim, intimate, and on the upscale side.

Came back a second time and was not so impressed on a Friday at 8:30pm. Place is still beautiful and sceney. but service is slow. Granted, we had one hard working waitress so that’s more understandable. But some food items were a letdown and they took too long to come out… also given, we came here on a Gilt deal to spend $ 100. I’m convinced they stuck us at a bad front table in the lounge. The tables here are so low to the ground it’s almost uncomfortable to eat. Anyway, some things are still really great, like the BigEye Tuna Tarts… except now there’s some kind of aioli sauce that make it taste a little funky. this should be a cream-less dish… still well done. The rock shrimp tempura was baad — totally over fried. The crispy tuna rice had nothing on Koi’s but it was still pretty good. The biggest letdown was the waygu beef sliders. totally overcooked, you could hardly taste the waygu… which is supposed to cost a premium for a reason. These were not nearly as juicy as they should have been. Our mistake was that we didn’t eat sushi … I had too much sushi that week. Be sure you stick with the cold apps/sushi here.

BondSt is amongst my top 5 favorite restaurants in Manhattan. BondSt is not 100% authentic Japanese food, but I still really enjoyed my meal here. They seem to cater towards the businessmen /businesswomen crowd so the ambience is a bit dressy(which I love!) The service is impeccable, and the food is even better! This is what we ordered: Big Eye Tuna tarts appetizer: HIGHLY recommend. This was the best dish of the night. I believe the hype! Soba with duck and mushrooms: The soba was perfectly cooked with the broth a perfect amount of salt. Do not it is a relatively small portion so don’t expect to be full with just the soba. Broiled Chilean sea bass: Probably the best sea bass I’ve ever had(and I’ve had many at other restaurants). The fish was so buttery, flakey, and just divine. I really liked the cute presentation with rice shaped like onigiri on the side. Organic chicken with parsnips: This was good, but the sauce was a little sour for me. The chicken was also nicely cooked(sign of a good chef! chicken is so easy to mess up) but I wouldn’t get this again. I took off one star for the sushi rolls, which I do not recommend getting. I also thought it was strange that they served my sushi rolls after my hot food. Their very mediocre sushi is why I did not feel like this was a super authentic experience. Your money is better spent on their appetizers/entrees/desserts: Toro with scallion sushi roll: It was okay. The rolls were way too large. Not the delicate sushi rolls I’m used to eating at other Japanese restaurants. Salmon with avocado sushi roll: Very basic roll. Poorly executed. Again it was just really big rolls, with average fish. We also could not resist dessert, which was heavenly. We got the lychee panna cotta and sesame caramel special dessert. Both were soooo good. The perfect ending to your meal! I can’t wait to come back.

*oyster(not sure what kind of oyster this is but it was sweet and kind of small; regardless it was good without any lemon or accompaniments); big eye tuna tart(yes omg!!! This was delicious! Flavor was on point; I liked that serving board with«BOND» burned into it; would definitely eat this again) *short rib(omg, this was delicious!!! super tender and falls right apart; whatever mushroom that was on the plate was wonderful); assorted sashimi(meh, I’ve had better; the fish didn’t taste too fresh; the old with edible gold flakes was pretty though) *sea bass(very good! loved the sauce on the fish; the sesame encrusted rice cake was interesting, that rice wasn’t my favorite thing but still decent) *duck soba noodles(I loved the broth!!! I was already full by this point so I couldn’t appreciate the full flavor of this dish, however I could drink that broth all day) *banana milk chocolate dim sum(sooo weird; they put the filling inside wonton wrappers and boiled them; omg, I was not having the texture because I’m so used to eating boiled wontons with meat inside so it was hard me to to swallow these; I think if these were fried, the flavor and texture will be more appealing) *lychee panna cotta(I loved the texture of this. this was a little hard to grasp at first but it got better with each bite; would highly recommend this; a great ending to a lovely meal) This restaurant is wonderful! Service is great. Loved the two-floor design with bars on each level. The food is pretty consistent and I would return to try more!

Hands down my favorite sushi in the country, including LA. Just had my 4th amazing meal here. Sat in the basement longue which is not as pretty as the upstairs but a good late night vibe. We got the snapper tacos — MUSTHAVE. Very flavorful and fresh. The tuna fried rice bites — Better than donuts! The Crab fried rice bites — topped with a GENEROUS portion of fresh crab and out of this world. The Sea Bass skewers, which I would not normally have chosen but it was flaky perfectly cooked fish in a great sauce! Large portion for the price. The shrimp tempera and lobster temp rolls — both so good. Not a huge fan of the lobster roll sauce — little Indian-tasting… The crowd I was with had scallop and spicy tuna rolls that were apparently both very yummy as well. This place is pricey and looks like just a random place from the outside, but I promise you it is worth a visit!!!

We got a Gilt deal for BondSt. It was painless to use! We were seated in the lounge downstairs. We told the waitress we were using a voucher. She took it and promptly started taking our order. Drinks: We ordered the Shiso Cucumber and the Sweet Saketini. The Shiso Cucumber was delicious — great choice for gin drinkers! The Sweet Saketini tastes exactly like it sounds — fruity with a punch! Sushi: We ordered to Toro Scallion and the Eel Dice Roll. Both were great! The only restriction for Gilt is no Blue Fin Tuna(which makes sense since blue fin tuna is rare now due to overfishing and therefore pricier than everything else on the menu). Both were fresh and you can taste the fish! A pet peeve of mine is sushi that is so overflavored you can’t even taste the raw fish anymore. This was done perfectly! Because we were so impressed with our Gilt orders, we decided to try some of their other items. The waitress recommended the Tuna Tarts, Rock Shrimp, and Fried Rice. We went with the Big Eye Tuna Tarts and the Rock Shrimp. THEBIGEYETUNATARTSARE A MUST. Definitely in the Top 5 of best things I’ve ever had. The Rock Shrimp was okay. Surprisingly, the cool salad paired with it was better than the protein. I’ve had rock shrimp at Nobu, and that is a lot better. This rock shrimp was too breaded, too greasy — therefore too heavy. Service was incredible. Food was amazing. Definitely coming back. Regret not getting the tartare!

Very cute and extremely trendy Japanese restaurant located in NoHo. This place is a gem and I would have totally pasted it on the street if I didn’t have a reservation and looked up were to find it. Located on a small block with nothing really around on the same block it’s easily totally missed. Walk up the stairs through the white door and its a little dark as you enter there’s another door on the left as you enter and this is were you’ll find the hostess and a tiny bar with people waiting in business attire(dress to impress here) There is seating and tables on the first floor and also a second floor were you can just take the short elevator ride. Located on the second floor they have a private room for events and small party. I’ve been here a few times already and never a disappointment. The service has always been fantastic, drinks and appetizers came quickly and there very quick with another round of drinks before having to ask«can I have another glass please» What to try: I’ll start with the appetizers. Black Sea bass carpaccio Big eye tuna Salads Mixed greens Rolls Toro scallion Tuna Spicy yellowtail Spicy tuna Sesame crusted shrimp Sundried tomato and avocado Arugula crispy potato Entrees Broiled Chilean Sea Bass Grilled Hanger Steak Last but not lease please leave room for there amazing mouth warming dessert. Dessert Chocolate Meltdown Banana Milk Chocolate Dim Sum Sweet nothings Amazing dining experience, happy eating!

A warm and trendy Japanese restaurant located in Noho. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly hostess at the door. The restaurant had a great ambience with a minimalistic décor. The service was fantastic, we were greeted by our waiter within a minute of seating and drink orders were taken right away. For appetizers, we ordered the red snapper tacos, yellowtail sashimi, spicy crispy shrimp, crispy tuna sushi and big eye tuna tarts. I definitely recommend the big eye tuna tarts as an appetizer. It was my favorite out of all five. The thin layer of tuna held up by a light crunchy tart, smothered with a light layer of creamy ponzu and truffle oil… so exquisitely good. Every bite was delicate and just simply delicious! For entrees, we had the steak, toban yaki, and a variety of special rolls, nigiri, and sashimi. The steak and toban yaki were just mediocre. I recommend saving your stomach space and opt for their nigiri and sashimi instead. I wasn’t too crazy about their special rolls. I found it rather bland and boring even with the accompanying sauces. The sashimi and uni sushi however was super fresh and tasty. As for desserts, they were out of the green tea mille crêpe. Therefore, we opted for the mochi ice-cream, apple tarte, and lychee panna cotta. You honestly can’t go wrong with ordering any of the desserts here. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience. All of the food and drinks were beautifully presented. Good food, lovely ambience, attentive service. I can’t wait to come back and explore the rest of their menu!

I visited New York for work, and my friend made us a reservation at BondSt. I’m actually heading to Japan soon, so ahead of that trip, I wanted some Japanese cuisine for practice.(Yes, we’re talking about practice, man!) We were seated in their dining room but quickly asked if we could be re-seated at the back sushi bar for a more authentic experience(like I said, we’re talking about practice!). The dining room tables felt a bit too crammed together, and the lighting was a little dim. The sushi bar, on the other hand, was very well set up: comfortable, well lit, and quite stylish. We went with the full course omakase, which was my first time enjoying such fare. Being n00bs(needing more practice), we misinterpreted and assumed that the«full course» omakase was primarily sushi/sashimi based. Instead, it was based on the main«full course» dishes from the menu. It did include 6 pieces of nigiri prepared live in front of us at the sushi bar. There was a separate, less expensive, sushi/sashimi omakase on the menu, which we had overlooked. Each one of the full courses(I believe 9 overall) were delicious. The most memorable dish for me was the Big Eye Tuna Tarts, which was an interesting mini crispy tuna pizza with truffle oil. Beyond the food, the staff was extremely friendly. I counted 7 different employees saying goodbye as we left the restaurant! Game time!
