My experience at bodre room was amazing!! Hector did a great job with my color and his staff are friendly and professional. If you want proper color done this is the place to go. I will be back again!

A refreshing experience in the world of uptown salons. The staff and stylists are professional and attentive. I have always known Hector to be a perfectionist, honest and damn good at what he does! Needless to say I highly recommend Bodre for anything regarding hair. You won’t be disappointed.

I’m no expert, but based on my experience at Bodre, I learned that hair color is an art and a science. Hector is BOTH an artist and a scientist. He shows a deep understanding of why hair color responds as it does and how to work with you to get as close as possible to what you hoped for when you came in (which is frankly not always possible or wise, he’ll be the first to tell you).
The salon is friendly, collaborative, funky, and a little edgy and experimental. I watched the coolest razor cut while my color was processing. No shortage of entertainment in there!
Most impressive to me is Hector’s objectivity in designing or color-​correcting your hair. He really wants you to leave happy, and maybe even a little more in touch with how your hair behaves. I’ll go back. Thanks, Hector. :)

I found this place on Unilocal and saw a couple of photos on Instagram. I traveled about an hour out to get to this salon and it was well worth it.
Hector took care of me and explained step by step everything he was going to do to my hair and why.
I have a lot of hair and correcting the color for the whole head was needed so of course it took many hours. I don’t mind going out of my way and taking a longer time to get the best results possible so this was the place. I will be going back.
Extremely happy with the results and highly recommend this salon to all.

Omg! I finally found an amazing stylist! I’ve been wanting to change up my hair for a while now but wanted to avoid disappointment. I’m picky with my hair (especially coloring). I decided to give this place a try after a recommendation and coming across their popular Instagram.
I lucked out and was able to schedule an appointment with Hector on a Saturday. My hair was long and dull. It needed major TLC. I told him I wanted to cut it and lighten it up. He told me he was going to transform my hair by giving it a balayage (which is a more blended look). I trusted him and he delivered!
I’m more than happy with my results. It looks extremely professional. He is a talented artist and so is everyone else there. I can’t wait to go back. If you want a professional trendy look, definitely come here. Deserves its 5 stars!

So I cut my hair… what a feat!!! I was paired up with Amanda and she’s like the hair whisperer. Very intuitive, receptive and just a great listener. I’m not a salon type of female but I just booked my second appointment with her, that’s how pleased I am.

I passed this salon on the way home one day and as I walked by I received smiles from everyone inside so I decided to stop by later that weekend to try out this place! I got a wash and set. Got my hair blow dried by Ruby twice as well as Ray, both did an amazing job and we’re EXTREMELY nice. Everyone is friendly and make you feel so comfortable. This salon has a great ambience.

I just got home from Bodre, and I am so thrilled and pleased with my hair. I had my hair done by Amanda, who transformed my hair from a yellowish blonde to a beautiful ash blonde with some icy tips. The process was long but I was treated with wine and cupcakes as I waited. You can just see the professionalism of each hair stylist. Amanda is AMAZING! She is funny and created a very comfortable environment for me. My mom was so impressed, she too will be going here from now on. Amanda also listened to all my wants while still maintaining healthier hair. And the price is very reasonable. I have no complaints really. I’ll be going back in a month or so :)

My experience was ¹⁰⁄₁₀. I have curly hair and I’m constantly looking for a salon that will talk to me about my daily care and actually enjoy doing my hair. Hector and all of the staff were efficient and really sat and talked to me about my hair color, cut, and care. I came in with dyed hair and a botched cut. Hector sat with me as I showed him my Pinterest board of my desired hair look and he came over with his color book to discuss the color options. He cut my hair tactfully, curl by curl and Ashley was amazing styling and coloring my hair. She also did an amazing job washing and massaging my scalp. I’m from uptown Manhattan and I know how difficult it is to find quality service here — Bodre is that service efficient uptown clients look for. A couple of days later the color still looks great and I Fallon love with the cut more and more. Thank you to the team at Bodre!

I’ve had a hard time finding a salon I could stick with. I’ve been to several overpriced salons in lower Manhattan since i work in the area feeling less than satisfied after paying a fortune. My hair has finally found a home! Hector did an amazing job with my color. He asked me what i wanted, gave me advice and i was completely happy with the outcome! Highly recommend!

Ruby is now my go to person for color. She does an amazing job! This was maybe my fourth time at Bodre. The staff is very pleasant. Service is always great.

Went here based off the reviews and photos. Calling making an appointment was easy and the front desk agent was nice and helpful! It’s soooo hard for me to find a salon that can do my hair justice. Now at first I was nervous because there was only the shampoo lady there at open (forgive me if this is not the right term) and she didn’t speak English, but she was a sweetheart and I didn’t mind it after a little. It was my first and definitely not my last if they keep this up ^_​^ Phillip was beyond helpful, he slayed and layed my hair haha.

0 stars if I could. This salon is so unorganized. You make an appointment for what? To wait hours? Just chaotic. It was my first time here and they asked who my hair stylist was and I said I was new and the Red head Dominican lady that works here was so rude and just laughed and spoke to her workers about me. This was about or over a year ago had it been today I would have told that lady and all the other workers off. The washing ladies were washing everyone’s hair but mine. I didn’t tip that lady a penny. The girl who styled my hair was a bit nicer but my hair looks way better when I do it next door at the Dominican salon. Will never do my hair here again not worth giving $ 25 – 30. Horrible customer service and service in general.

Ruby did an AMAZING job on my hair! It’s so soft and feels so healthy!!! She got it really straight which I love and even gave me tips on how to wrap my hair at night! I definitely recommend her because she will have your hair looking good and feeling great! I can’t wait to go back!!!

Answered all 100 of my questions and excellent service. Love that they really paid attention to what I was saying and gave me awesome advice on how to treat my curly head :) love them!

This is my mother and I’s second time here and my sister’s third time coming here and we love how we look walking out of the salon every time. So glad we found Hector and the Bodre Room. He knows exactly what he is doing. I love my cut and color! So glad I found this place!

So my best friends sister posted a photo on insta– yes– Instagram. I was like– «Who — the EFF — cut your hair?» Hashtag Bing-​bang-​boom, I’m on a plane from LAX to JFK. That’s right. I am from Los Angeles, and about 2 months later I was on a plane, on my way to an appointment with PHILIP.
Yes, I have friends and family there, but the first thing I did after I arrived last Thursday, was take the A to Dykman! Hahaha. So NY.
I like my cut a lot. He took off a lot of length since I had it trimmed one year ago, and before that –not for 6 years!!!
I don’t trust ANYBODY with my hair. (It’s my thing. Everyone has a something– mine is my hair) So I just don’t, just let anybody cut mine. Ie: my last hairdresser was «recruited». And is not reeeally available until next … Term. I don’t play, and neither do these guys.
Hector was to my left, and Mmmmmmmm-​hmmmm good to my right. And I watched them too. The truth is– I’d let any one of them cut my hair. All their clients looked fab walkin out of that shop. And I really don’t usually feel that way.
I have options here at home, but I’ll be working on a way to get back to NY ASAP to see my new stylist and his gang of talented cutie pies.

Thank you all at the shop, even sweet client Giselle who waited, laughed, and chatted with me, for your East Coast hospitality (yes– it’s a thing). I was treated like a regular, and it was my first time there, of many to come.
One suggestion. Hector– and the California girl knows this much. Natural lighting makes all the girls look purty.

My third time getting my hair done with the Bodre family, 2^nd time at this new location… They know their stuff! Great service! It’s a quaint space but they are fast and efficient! Especially when you book an appointment in advance. I walked in all three times and still got fast quality service with a wash and set. Highly recommended.

Then a friend and sister mentioned having their hair done there. Both recommended the place. I chose to work with colorist Amanda @lezblondeyhair.
She heard me out, she gave great suggestions and answered a million and one questions I had. My hair is multiple tones of pink with lots of dimension. She used hydrating vegan coloring products. My hair is soft, shiny and smells awesome.

Let me start off by saying that I found Philip on Instagram and fell in love with all of his work but it took me forever to get around to coming to see him (my loss!).
Needless to say, I called him up and explained exactly what I was going for. I needed a change but nothing crazy and was confident that he would know just what to do.
The staff here are pleasant and very friendly and Philip has a great personality.
We talked about what I wanted, he gave me some of his ideas, and what came out as a result was AMAZING!
Beautiful color change without being drastic and a much needed cut to liven things up.
I haven’t had my hair done in a while and he knew I was nervous but talked me through it and I couldn’t be happier.
Looking forward to my next visit and I’m even making an appointment for my daughter.
