I go see Emma every 5 weeks or so for a Pink and White Perma-Gel fill — the best manicure I’ve ever gotten! The entire staff is friendly and attentive. It’s true, sometimes it’s super busy and walk-ins have to wait a bit but that’s because it’s a great salon! They accept appointments so calling ahead of time might be worth it. The prices are great and they’re open late. So happy I found this gem :)

This place is hit or miss. I’ve been here over a dozen of times and left extremely happy but there’s also been times that have gotten me frustrated. One thing that’s always consistent when I go, customer service is always great. Everyone who works there is always smiling and laughing. I’m always greeted with hellos and how are you. Definitely no problems there. Clean salon, great choice of colors, just sucky acrylic materials. Multiple times I’ve gone there and less then a week later 1 or 2 nails pop off. I thought it was me but upon trying other salons and my nails stay perfect for 2 weeks plus. I knew they had to be the problem at blooming. Although, it is a convenient location and happy smiles is what brings me back. I got a fill in last week and they are still great a week later. Praying that they stay this way. I paid a total of $ 51 not including tip.($ 18 pedicure + $ 18 fill in with $ 10 gel polish + $ 5 design). I love that they are open to being creative with design even when they don’t advertise. I think it’s one of the owners that usually does my nails and she’s great with listening to my crazy ideas with my nails. Anyway, nails this time are great, they just need to be more consistent. I will probably go back again if these nails pass the 2 week test! Oh and yeah, sadly no shoulder rubs :(

Very friendly staff. Never a long wait and they always do a great job! I usually go to Bruce. But, everyone else there is also very talented.

I used to go to this place when it was under the old owners and was always happy. Now that they’ve changed management, the service is really bad. I went in for a mani-pedi. The pedi was ok, but I had gel on my nails which had to be removed before getting a regular mani. The technicians don’t know what they are doing. One of them tried sanding the gel off my nails as I sat in the pedicure chair, with a nail file. It hurt like hell so I made her stop. Then, the girl that did my pedi took me to her station and used the electric sander which was fine, but she was supposed to sand just a little bit off then soak my nails in acetone. She sanded MYNATURALNAIL all the way down! No soaking at all. I looked at my nails when she was done and my instinct was to tell her not to paint my nails and thank god i did because I was suddenly in a lot of pain. I had intense nerve pain for 2 days and its been about a week now and all of my nails are paper thin and extremely sensitive. I’ll never go back there.

My experience with this nail salon has been a whirlwind. I live 3 houses away and it is super convenient. I WISH this place was better but after my most recent visit I will not come back again. This used to be the Ritz which has now moved to Steinway… after they changed name and management it was good. Attentive staff, better prices and service. That was just a brief moment in time. Now, sadly, it is even worse than the original. I came here on a weeknight at 8:38pm and asked for a regular mani/pedi… the manager told me «we close at 9»… okay fair enough. The business always used to close at 10pm on weeknights which is another reason I kept going… as I am about to leave 2 more ladies walk in and ask for a mani/pedi… the manager says we close at 9… then one of the women says well can I just get a pedi? the manager agreed they had time to just do pedis — so we all get pedi’s… this said manager who was clearly in a rush to get out of there did mine. She used cold water in the foot tub, did not fill it up all the way and did a half a$$ job. As I am getting this awful pedi… another woman comes in! asking for a mani/pedi. So you have 4 women who want a service and turn them away because you would have been open 20 extra minutes? this doesn’t seem like a smart business move to me. Everyone there was under the impression the place closed at 10pm. At least put a sign on the door. So back to the pedi… finally she brings me to the drying station, no massage. Then she tells me $ 18!!! I couldn’t believe it. So I come back later in the week to get the mani I never got… same bad service, no neck rub… NEVERAGAIN… word of advice to the business owner… find a better manager. Word of advice to customers — DON’T DOIT. Go to Blossom up the block, cheaper and waaaay better service.

Deserves less than one star! Very rude! And they charge $ 5 to take off nail polish. Last I checked, that was part of getting a manicure. She did a half ass pedicure for $ 18. Never going back!

This place doesn’t even deserve the one star. Horrible and rude management… Horrible service…(I had to ask her to remove the nail polish from my skin and to file my nails straight because they were crooked). They scam you and give you services that you never asked for and make you pay. Save your money and go somewhere else! I finally got my fiancé to agree to a mani/pedi, so we decided to try this place out. We asked for the advertised $ 19.99 mani/pedi and the girls understood. When we sat down, they asked us which scent we wanted and pointed at the wall… It said $ 35 dollars but since the girls understood that we wanted the $ 19.99 deal, I thought it was part advertised deal. Once we were about to get the mani, the woman asked us to pay and said it will be $ 80. I said, «no, the mani/pedis are $ 19.99.» She proceeded to tell us that we asked for the extra spa treatment. I never asked for an extra spa treatment. All we wanted was a quick mani/pedi. The woman kept disagreeing and arguing and didn’t want to make a scene so I decided to call to speak to the manager. The number went straight to the voicemail… So, we went back in. When I was calmly speaking to the manager, she and all the workers were laughing! HORRIBLE customer service… She said, you need to read the signs. I told her, «you specifically heard me say I wanted the $ 19.99 deal.» She said, «that’s not my problem!» I could not believe what I was hearing! (And the store number is her cell number and her phone was dead…) I don’t know what kind of business she runs but it is the worst experience I have had when getting my nails done!

My sister needed to get her nails done last minute. Taking a chance for it already being last minute, we went to Blooming Nail & Spa, and we were greeted by Linda and Emma. The salon was very clean and sanitary unlike some of the salons we were in and out of right away that day. The work stations were clean. Linda and Emma provided some photos and pictures of some designs that they had done for their clients and some designs that even the clients brought in and they did for the client. It was A class service all the way from being greeted when we walked in and their recommendation for nail care and skin care for my sister when we were done.
