Birdbath Neighborhood Bakery : Pop-Up

I used to work right next door to Birdbath and I was always tempted to go in because the food and drinks are fantastic. I think they have one of the best chocolate chip cookies in the world, and their mini pizza’s have great texture and flavor. On top of that, Birdbath has a specialty hot chocolate drink in the winter that is served with a giant marshmellow and is not to be missed. This shop is vegeterian and vegan friendly.
The only reason I would not give Birdbath ⁵⁄₅ stars is because it is overpriced and the portions are quite small.

I have not tried the pastries but the Vegetarian sandwiches and salads are delicious! The cashiers are always friendly.

In hopes of revival for the morning, this birdbath has ran dry for traditional baked goodies. Birdbath Bakery is a Pop-​Up store spawn from City Bakery on 18^th Street with very minimal options. This space is shared with Books of Wonder, a children’s book store.
I elected a chocolate chip cookie which upon discovery it was Vegan but at very poor quality to fall apart without crunching. The breading did not hold up as it fell apart upon biting into it that $ 3.00 for large cookie, it was brings big disappoint! I also opt for the Rice Milk Muffin which was extremely dry at $ 2.50 containing nuts – another big disappoint. Very dried mini milk muffin. I do not like anything with nuts as it has nothing to do with food allergies, but has everything to do with personal preference. Overrated and extremely overpriced like its mother, City Bakery. When scanning the counter there were several weird concoctions as quiche Vegetarian muffin with nuts. My mood dropped for the rest of the day from a meh breakfast.
The server/​cashier, however, is a stellar five stars for being prompt, friendly; though lacking informative on what select items’ descriptions; but cordial for customer service without question. I was the only customer in the retail space, ergo all the attention was concentrated on me. Nothing compares to the original City Bakery!
