Had a really good old fashion! Bartender wasn’t very friendly but made a solid drink.

No complaints. Good local spot. Really nice ambience. Strip steak was surprisingly nice.

Came for the $ 1 oysters. Stayed for the martinis. Stayed longer for the live band(on Sunday). I can only review the bar portion, but the environment was warm, relaxed and just overall pleasant. Definitely a new West Village favorite. Perfect for intimate drinks and great conversation. Can’t wait to come back!

Wow I so loved this place the last time — I took an out of town friend last night and was disappointed. There was a piece of plastic in my salad and had to send it back. I ordered the burger(delicious!) but they forgot the fries and brought them when both of us were done with our meal. And no comping on anything — come on the salad?! Plastic. Grow up BB&c and treat your customers right.

The environment is really cozy and dim, which I love. If you’re looking for a neighborhood small tucked away place, check it out over a drink with a friend.

3.5 stars This is a cute little hidden gem that you’re bound to pass by if you weren’t looking for it. The inside is lit dimly and intimately, creating a great date atmosphere. The service was polite and attentive, though the bussers were a bit too eager to clear the table the second your fork hits the plate. The food is mostly good with a few misses that spoiled the meal a bit. The lobster taco that everyone seems to rave about was ridiculously minuscule. It is actually not a taco at all but a wrap. The lobster was tough, but the sauce was good. I could have done without this $ 11 hors d’œuvre. The oysters were great — hard to mess up oysters, but yet again, 2 out of 12 should not have been served as they were clearly dirty/spoilt and we left them untouched. The butternut squash soup and smoked salmon arugula salad were lovely, and I love the inclusion of cheese and caviar in the salad. The Gin & Tonic Salmon was average. For starters it was under-cooked, we ordered medium and it was served medium rare. The sauce I found too sweet for me while I was wishing it was more savory, but that’s a personal preference. For drinks, I had a lovely mug of spiced wine Glögg.

Stumbled upon this place waiting for dinner reservations elsewhere. I had an hour to kill and took advantage of the HH. What can I say… great ambience, cool bartender, plenty of wine, and $ 1 oysters! I will be back!

Such a great name. Such a great oyster happy hour. Such great potential ruined by such lousy service. The bar is tiny. Don’t come with your 12 BFFs unless you want to split up into pairs and sit in random sections of the restaurant. Pick your favoritest BFF and come as a twosome. My friend and I sat at the bar. Maybe things would have been better if we hadn’t, because the bartender that night had the biggest chip on her shoulder. I honestly couldn’t figure out what her problem was. All night, she had this sour, I-smell-cooked-cabbage expression on her face, and despite numerous attempts to be friendly with her, she was sneering, impatient and condescending to us whenever we spoke to her. Which was too bad because the oysters were pretty decent. Not the largest I’ve had, but this is the East Coast, not the Gulf Coast. The cocktails were pretty good too, such as the Je Né Sais Quoi(Seagrams gin, crème de violette, ginger, lemon, egg white) and Sorry Not Sorry(Basil-infused vodka, watermelon, lemon, lemon salt rim). Speaking of sorry not sorry, we had actually planned to make BB&C our dinner spot for the night, but the service was so bad, we decided to go elsewhere to have a full meal. Yeah, sorry not sorry.

Great place! Can’t beat the $ 1 oysters! I only recommend this place for drinking and oysters. Was not really impressed with their menu and it’s a bit too pricey for the food and the portion they serve. The place is actually very cozy and laid back. Will definitely go back!

Dollar oysters only at the bar so while me and my bff were waiting for the rest of our party, we took advantage of it and got a dozen. They were pretty small. We went back to our table after we finished. We got the lobster taco, the cheese and meat platter(2 meat and 1 cheese), the beef quesadilla, the seasonal sorbet(2 scoops of peach and 1 scoop of fig) and a peach crumble(i think). Food was good but 4 stars because our waitress has kind of an attitude towards us. Not sure if it’s because she doesn’t smile much but we were all like why is she so angry. We were there during a weekday night so we were able to sit there from 7 to 10:30pm. It is a very nice little neat spot to hang. I like the décor. Definitely recommend!

Stumbled on this place before a night out in the village, it was a good choice. There was a band playing when we walked in through the bar, and we sat down in their more relaxed dining room. You could still hear the music, it had a really great energy… if that’s a thing. Had an amazing, meant in your mouth steak quesadilla and a dirty martini. Don’t judge, I had a heavy lunch. Both were great.

I came here for a quick and convenient dinner with my fiancé and it did not disappoint. What we got: –Lobster tacos –crispy pork belly and arugula –tuna tartar –rock shrimp fettuccine + a delicious cocktail with elderflower. The food was really good, the highlight being the pork belly. Scrumptious! The ambiance is dim and romantic and I will definitely be back!

GREAT food, ambiance and staff! The restaurant is downstairs and has a dark intimate atmosphere. As soon as you enter you’re in the crammed bar area that’s packed with people BUT walk further and you’ll be in a cozy brick exposed wall setting. To start off I had the swedish meatballs with crème fraîche gravy that were quite tasty however the REALSTAR was the braised short rib. The rib meat was falling off the bone juicy and fork tender. The brussel sprouts were nice and toasty. The roasted sweet potato had the perfect crunch to them. For drinks, I had the Rekorderlig beer which tasted like strawberry kool aid! Definitely will be returning!!!

Writing a review of the happy hour and environment — can’t wait to go back for a full meal. Was meandering throught the west village and stumbled into this cozy underground restaurant. Charming, quaint, only-in-NYC feeling to it. The $ 1 oysters are to die for, as is the mignotte with which it is served. The house pinot noir was beautiful and cheap. The staff was über friendly. And the DECOR — wow — so unique and beautiful. Loved the experience. Can’t wait to go back.

It’s in the basement, if you see the hanging sign, look down! I walked into the apartment building next to the sign. Great happy hour($ 4 beer, $ 1 oysters, $ 6 wine before 7:30) and a nice meal. We got steak and duck for dinner and it was very solid, but the happy hour/bar experience before sitting down was the real highlight.

Came here recently for Sunday brunch, having read about their hydroponic garden upstairs. Fresh vegetables and herbs year round! The restaurant is located downstairs in a small intimate setting. Our group of 4 had the $ 20 all you can drink brunch which includes mimosa, Bellini, Bloody Mary, and a specialty spritzer. Bloody Mary was good, but not amazing. Spritzer was more of an afternoon, late night cocktail. Mimosa and Bellini were on point, but how can you mess those 2 brunch classics? Drinks were not watered down, as can be seen at many all you can drink brunch establishments. Egg white omelette with garden vegetables — delicious! Not greasy and your average sized portion. The turkey sausage and potatoes were good sides. Husband has the mushroom, spinach, goat cheese omelette which I think was the highlight of the meal. Perfectly seasoned, but strong mushroom flavor(which I love). Lobster taco– a bit disappointed, tiny, lacking flavor, and they used a white flour tortilla. Overall, place was cute, quaint, non-greasy brunch with superb $ 20 all you can drink. Looking forward to coming back to try their dinner menu.

Decent little spot to grab a drink or dinner. Good for a date or just hanging out with a few people. The bar is tiny but the larger part of the back is ample with tables. I love the intimate, dark atmosphere. Sundays 7 – 10 there’s live jazzy cover songs from two sweet guys, I definitely dug that. But then when I got up to use the facilities, the bartender(after handing me two fairly mediocre drinks) decided my juicy stack of cash on the bar was hers for the taking… soooooooooo… gurl… bye… you enjoy that $ 12 dollar tip for nothing… you suck.

Haven’t been for food(still!), but been back a million times for their happy hour — which is amazing! $ 1 oysters, SO cozy(though underground so not particularly a summer spot), exposed brick, and GREAT specialty cocktails(with fresh home grown herbs!) on happy hour. Beer and wine too! It gets packed but runs later than most happy hours(7:30), so get there before 6:30 if you want a seat.

Cute hidden gem in the west village. They are serving brunch now. I came with six girlfriends. We had still and sparking water, OJ, coffee, mimosa and dessert. One thing that was weird, There was no bread or butter to start. The burger tasted great. The steak and egg’s are amazing! The ice cream sandwiches delightful. I was hung over from the night before so I didn’t order the $ 20 Unlimited brunch drink specials but definitely next time! Service was not a hundred percent there. There was about four or five tables filled and the place wasn’t full, however, service was relatively extremely slow. The server could be more attentive. I definitely like to come back and try the oysters and do happy hour!
