Love Love Love This place! I recently held a charity fashion show event and got the cupcakes from Batter! They were extremely delicious & we got so many compliments! Ronnie even went out of her way to personalize the cupcake icing and decorations. I was extremely pleased. If you need any baked goods for an event in Harlem, this is the place! I’m looking forward to booking them for treats for my best friends bachelorette party

My son cake was very good (soon as we cut the cake it went in less then 5mins lol), bottom half was pineapple and top half was strawberry with cream cheese frosting. I came to ronnie I think 2 weeks before the bday party 8−15−15 and she got the job done. thank you I appreciate it. I recommend them to all, CANT WAIT TO GET A NOTHER HENNY COLADA CUPCAKE

My husband and I got our wedding cake made at Batter and it exceeded all of our expectations! First off Ronnie did a private tasting for us and we were able to sample some of the delicious flavors. She was patient in answering all of our questions and helping us with the process as we were initially unsure of what we wanted.
Right before our wedding when both of our families were in town Ronnie also gave us 2 dozen cupcakes for a family dinner which everyone loved and were raving about. On our wedding day the cake was perfect and complimented the décor in the whole wedding space. Ronnie incorporated our wedding colors, our flowers, and African kente cloth designs in the cake. It was elegant and represented us as a couple so well. However, not only was the cake beautiful it tasted amazing too! Many of our guests told us it was the best wedding cake they ever had and loved the unique flavors (we had one tier coconut, one lime, and one passion fruit).
Overall we had a great experience and will definitely be back when we have another big event to celebrate :)

Phoned this place to find out when they close. An irritated hoodrat answered with much attitude and sighs and says «TEN O’CLOCK!» and then abruptly hangs up. Even though her attitude was troublesome, I went there anyway. Got there 4 hours before they closed and the front door was locked but the lights were on inside & there was a girl standing behind the counter, playing on her phone. I knocked & she acted like she didn’t hear or see me. smh

I encourage everyone to read the owner’s below response to my review, as this will explain why their customer service is so dismal. Any business owner who denies or lessens a customer’s experience, is not the type of person you should do business with. Per the owner, there was a sweet, well-​behaved, little girl working that evening, who is completely incapable of being rude and who would never opt to play on her cell phone instead of assisting customers. Rubbish.

Sorry for the poor reception you received. I can’t account for the «hoodrat» on the phone as there is no one that fits that description at Batter. The little girl you described at the desk, however, had to have been the 12 year-​old intern who helps out on occasion. There’s usually just us 2 & should I need to go to the basement or restroom, the door is locked for her safety. She is a very well mannered young lady and would have advised me of your presence had she noticed you outside. I’ll be sure to message you with an invitation to our relaunch in the fall. Your updated review will surely be more favorable once you’ve sampled our product and made our acquaintance. Thank you for your patronage.
