just came by for brunch with my wife before work and this place’s food is too good. the wings, scrambled eggs w/cheese, bacon, potatoes and french toast had me so full. enjoyed my first time here and will definitely come back for more.

I really liked the cocktails here, and it’s a block from my apartment so I love the location. It’s not very big so it can get crowded quickly at night. My favorite drink was the Brooklyn Punch.

Great service! Good deals! Great drinks! Come here to have an amazing cocktail before you head out for the night. Their bar menu is a compliment of their restaurant Peaches, so you get good service with some down South service and food!

I went with some friends to grab dinner and drinks before starting our night. We had our heart set on Peaches but because it was too late to dine in, we went to the bar extension of the restaurant next door. They didn’t have much left to order from so we settled for the Brooklyn Wings and Barbeque Seasoned Fries. I enjoyed both. The bartenders/waitresses were friendly and tried to accommodate us but given the short staffing and full house, service was spotty. There definitely needs to be more people staffed, especially on busy nights. They have a fun drink menu with Brooklyn themed drinks. Try the Brownstone Punch. We met a lot of «regulars» and it has a comfortable, neighborhood bar vibe. I’ll be back to try Peaches or grab drinks and wings at their bar.

Food: mediocre; service: appalling; atmosphere: hit or miss. I’ve been here a few times trying very hard to give them a chance but I just can’t do it anymore. They’re not even trying anymore.

I’ve been going to this spot since it opened and have seen many bartenders come and go. But these two new women bartenders are by far, the worst I’ve experienced. There was one night when I had to ask one of ‘em to make my drink FOUR times because she kept forgetting and serving other people before me. Then there was the day when I asked for my check three times and the other bartender ignored me then proceeded to take pictures for another patron while I was waiting for my check. It really sucks because this is my neighborhood bar but the new crop of bartenders is ruining it.

This is the same as peaches, except you’re at a bar, and the whole place is served by one waiter/bartender, which can be good or bad depending on the time and amount of people. He did a good job for not writing down any of the orders, but obviously he was a little slow with the food and the bill, having to serve the whole place. The happy hour was good and late. I bot the wings, they left nothing to be desired. The Mrs ordered the catfish and grits. She enjoyed it. I iked the shrimp and grits. This is a good place for a gathering of friends. It’s not too loud. The bartender was good with the individual bills. If you are going to have a group of friends, it was near empty close to 5:30 on a Tuesday, ut filled up around 8.

Cozy atmosphere, good drink prices. I think I paired like 5⁄6 bucks for a beer and a shot for a non happy hour timing. My friends loved the brownstone punch to death. I stuck to my beer and shots :). Benches, pillows, TVs for sports and you’re set. In warmer months there’s a yard I can see through the door inside for patio seating which seems cool but my first time going was in the winter. I will definitely be going back when the friends and I need a place to go drink in the neighborhood

Came here for brunch. I’ve never been to the main Peaches, but I’m pretty sure that the brunch menu is the same. The food is good, standard brunch fare. Loved the cheese grits. Sat outside in the small picnic area and enjoyed my Sunday afternoon. The server was good, attentive, chill. Minus 1 star for the lack of unlimited mimosas. It’s 2012, guys.

This review is entirely for the service, which is up there for the worst I’ve ever had. I’ve lived three blocks from Peaches for over a year now and I’ve been to the restaurant for dinner many times over that span. So I was excited to see that they had opened up a bar space in what used to be a coffee shop next door. When I got locked out and needed to wait on my girlfriend it seemed like a natural place to go. While the bar was mostly empty everything was good. I ordered bottled beers, of which they have a pretty good selection, which came promptly. However, when my girlfriend joined me for dinner and the bar filled up things took an amazingly, unbelievably bad turn. It started when the bartender and the barback got into a heated argument in front of the bar. Maybe the most unprofessional thing I’ve ever seen. Then the barback felt the need to talk about the bartender to several off-duty folks who were drinking there. After that, the beer I ordered with dinner just didn’t come. Finally, I asked for the check THREESEPARATETIMES. Once we got the check and I handed them my credit card, they literally put it down in front of the POS and forgot about it for ten minutes. I asked the bartender to swipe my card. The barback did and then brought it over and told us, «he [the bartender] didn’t tell me it was you, I thought it was one of his tables». As if that made it OK not to run the card. Altogether, maybe the worst service I’ve ever had. Probably won’t be back which is too bad.

So this is the recently opened bar to Peaches Restaurant, as you can glean by the name, which is right next door. Although Peaches itself does have a small bar, having its own spot distinguishes nicely from the restuaurant. Taking up the former Bread Stuy, a recently closed Bedford-Stuyvesant institution for over 10 years, they’ve made great use of the space with a great open atmosphere. Though there’s not too may beers on tap, there are a wide array available by bottle and the varied and tasty cocktail menu from next door is available to choose from as well. They also have a nice amount of spirits available and you can order food from next door. So with all that why does the Bar at Peaches only get 3 stars? Well, it’s for the same reason why many people have a problem with the restaurant itself. While the atmosphere here, with the widescreen tv’s, comfortable bar space and seating areas(done much better than Bread Stuy did) are cool, the service is lacking. I personally wouldn’t blame the guys that were on duty when I visited because I believe they did their best, but if you’re a patron not sitting at the bar you’re virtually ignored. Having 1.5 people on duty and having them attend to tables, food orders, and drinks leaves them with too much to do. Long story short, they need more staff to accomodate the numbers of people who dig the space. Much as I hate to say this, if they didn’t serve a full menu from next door maybe that wouldn’t happen(Peaches’ food can also be inconsistent, but that’s another reveiew). I’m no restauranteur, and I wouldn’t turn down people who want food, but I am a patron that hates to be ignored. So sure, I’ll most likely visit again but I guess I’ll have to get a seat in the bar itself to get better service.
