Stopped by Hester Street Fair on my visit to New York and wasn’t disappointed. The Vegan Piña Colada was an amazing blend of extraordinary and delicious. Not too sweet with the authentic flavors of real pineapple and coconut. Jared was fantastic and if I didn’t live 3,000 miles away, would be back every weekend. Hopefully, I can come back and meet the culinary genius behind the flavor!

As a lover of all things nostalgic (and Taco Bell related), Baldies brings me back to a time and place in my life buried deep in my memories. All of their ice cream is hand crafted by culinairy extraordinaire Derrick Oertwig and brought to you by the creative mindscape of Jared Ames. They have loads of flavors in the works, but normally at the Hester Street Fair held every weekend you can catch them with the OG Flavor (vanilla ice cream topped with perfectly salted almonds and homemade chocolate sauce), the «Wild Card» which is the flavor of the week with seasonal ingredients and their creative takes on ice cream classics, and a vegan option for you coconut lovers out there. The chaco is the perfect summer treat for those with a strong affinity towards not only ice cream but the finer, aka more chocolatey, things in life.
