I’m not into sweets, but rumor has it they have the best cupcakes in NYC.
It’s s a bite size cupcake. The menu changes according to the season and holidays. I’ve had a rainbow colored one, gluten free tie dye. It was delicious! Soft and fluffy.

Horrible service the staff is so rude they can’t even greed you kindly. They are more busy on playing around that actually doing their job. Never again and the bite size was more than half a bite. Worst place ever my friend ordered and had a refund made but waited for almost 1 month and had to cal her bank to actually fight for the money because they never refund it so unprofessional. I really hope the company does something to change this

I still love this place — in fact, whenever I am in New York (which is rare nowadays) I make a specific point of visiting Baked by Melissa so I can get my cupcake fix. I was glad to see that she returned to this tiny vestibule, as it the no-​frills approach just works. It is easy to grab a box of six on your way to work (as I usually did) or home.
The cupcakes themselves are fantastic. She usually offers about 15 flavors per month, including a mystery flavor. This month, that cupcake was «snowball» flavored, and I have to say it could easily be one of my favorites if it was available year-​round, as it featured moist vanilla cake and cream frosting, sprinkles, and a marshmallow, all packed into one-​powerful bite. I also get the chocolate-​chip pancake and cookie dough cupcakes every time.
These are bite-​sized cupcakes, so I usually buy a box of six, which is enough for a full snack, and allows you to mix/​match and try a variety of flavors.

I was visiting from Texas and had this bakery listed as a place I wanted to visit. While wandering toward Little Italy I ran into it and was so excited! I ordered the flavor of the month, which for September is Dulce de Leche, it was flavorful, without being too sweet. I also had the red velvet, which was nice and moist and we had the vanilla cookie (I believe that’s what it was called) and that was delightful as well. I was glad to find it and be able to taste the some of the selections.

, this space was staffed by Melissa and a bunch of other smiling staffers for their ‘pre-​opening’ where you were rewarded with a free tie-​dye cupcake for sending a nice note to MSKCC patients.
