I pretty much only stop by here to pick up the basics as I return from work. I tend to prefer the Fine Fair a bit farther away. Looks like they’ve remodeled and rebranded, so the aisles are a bit wider now and the meat looks cleaner.

Awful supermarket, even by NYC standards. Check dates on EVERYTHING you buy. Most products in the freezer section are usually freezer burned. Never enough cashiers working up front and they tend to be rude. The prices are a joke as well. I live down the street from this store, but now I just take the bus to Fine Fair on Broadway & Dyckman.
I would give zero stars if I could.

This place is great if you need to pick up the basics. It’s small for an «every need» grocery store but it has everything you need and some specialty items as well. The staff is sort of aloof, but if you need something they are nice enough to get it for you. Half of the fresh produce is outside, which is a weird set up. Everything is fresh though. All in all, it’s a good store. Definitely one of the best in the neighborhood.

My girlfriend and I shopped here for a few months until we have fraud alerts on 5 different credit cards (two were replacements for ones that had about $ 600 in fraudulent charges put on them when we first started shopping there) until we finally figured out that this was the only place we both shopped in common. We’re not the only ones, either:
We stopped shopping there, and lo and behold, no more fraud alerts for the following 9 months. This is about the worst review I can give a business: Shop here and there is a chance they will steal from you.
If that still doesn’t dissuade you, before we boycotted the place, twice we got ground beef from there that was rotten within 24 hours.
