When you visit the restaurant during the afternoons, you will be greeted by Veronica D. She is the best hostess/​server who treated my fiancé and I very sweet. The food is filling, but there are too menus to choose from. Thank you Applebee’s!

Best food out of any Applebee’s, fresh and we’ll portioned. The drinks were really good too and staff was mostly helpful and available. Best food experience within Applebee’s.

First and last time I’ll go to that Applebee’s. The red hair bartender wanted to go home so she was rushing everyone at the bar. Constantly on her phone, I asked for a menu and she never came to see if I wanted something. When she saw we finished our drinks she asked if we wanted the check… Absolutely horrible service. I already had my dislikes with Applebee’s but that experience tipped me to hate it!

No stars. Absolutely disgusting. I’ve been here a few times and after every experience I try to justify everything horrible about this place. Management is crap here. I don’t blame the workers I blame the ones in charge. Every time I go they never have this, they never have that, my meals are always incomplete. Every time I go my meal is served looking like a mess. I know the majority of the food Is microwaved (CUZ I once worked at Applebee’s) but the least you can do is present it good.

This place is pretty decent. The food is ok and so it the service. For a quick cheap bite this is perfect!

I come here all the time with my BF and we love the happy hour prices and appetizers. MOST of the staff is really friendly, and we get great service. However, on busy nights they can be understaffed, and this will create frustration from customers since everything moves slower when it’s busy. Also, management needs to train or hire someone in the kitchen that knows what they are doing. My BF got a burger once with nothing inside but the patty, and no lettuce or onions, or tomatoes on the side. However the server took care of it real quick. On another occasion for breakfast we got an omelette made completely different than how it always comes– and we have ordered it over 5 times so we would know. We asked the server (who we normally don’t sit with) and her response was «Oh, I don’t know» but luckily I don’t think she’s working there anymore. If you don’t care about the service you provide, please don’t be a server. We are good tippers but her attitude was that she clearly didn’t want to work. After complaining to a manager twice we got the omelette re-​done and she charged us extra for the items our omelette was missing in the first place so we had to complain a 3^rd time. Last week, on a weeknight they sat people who were clearly on drugs, with hospital tags on their wrists and acting crazy sit next to us at a booth. They were yelling, being obnoxious and they looked homeless and the man even had a suitcase with him. We moved to the other side of the restaurant because the man threw over his jacket and it half landed on my BF. I expect some type of control over their patrons and these people should have not been allowed to sit, especially when you have families dining there and they were cursing and drinking and trying to beat up on each other acting like aggressive animals. It’s not sanitary, and I’m really questioning the New GENERAL MANAGER who allowed this to happen and potentially put clients at risk. We don’t know if these people would have snapped stabbed someone, and then he would have been held liable when many customer clearly expressed concerns to the staff that night. I was one of them! PLEASE clean up this place or it will royally fail, and you support your staff and their families. Thank you.

Nope… Will not return. The staff was average at best. The host who sat us was aloof and seemed more concerned with talking about personal issues with another coworker than attending to customers. The waitress was pleasant but not very attentive. Now the real issue …
1 — Apps and entrees came out about 3 minutes apart. So just as you start to eat your app here comes your entrée. They need to work on their pacing!
2. Not sure why but all our apps were room temperature at best. As if it was sitting for awhile before being brought to the table
3. We ordered the SAME alcoholic drink for the table. We were a party of 3, each drink tasted vastly different no consistency in drinks served. Two were two sweet and tasted as if there was no alcohol and the third had a slightly different color and was very strong!
Just an overall subpar experience even for a chain restaurant. Didn’t have high expectations but this establishment needs to be overhauled and have all staff and kitchen workers retrained. A no go for me.

On 6÷26÷13 ! My son and grandson went to Parkchester Applebee’s for lunch, it was the worst. The ribs were burnt, fries were cold, and the utensils were dirty. They did not do set-​ups at the tables, the waitress slammed napkins on the table and kept walking by. It made so me upset at the point that, I wanted to walk out.
I think they’ll be closed down in the near future, because if they were in a difference
Area they would not be treating customers like they do not matter.
I will not be returning back there, I will continue to go to Ellie’s where people are treated like people and where the food is cooked on a stove and served hot.

I gave this place 4 stars solely because the waiter was nice & got our order right. I’m vegetarian so I can be a bit tricky. But he got it right. I came here after my best friend got out of work & we wanted to get some drinks and appetizers. We ordered the chips and salsa, cheese quesadilla (chicken quesadilla app without the chicken), mozz sticks, chicken wonton tacos & a kids meal. Most of the apps were half price because of their happy hour deal. We ordered 2 margaritas — which were $ 5 bucks each. The happy hour deal is still on at this applebees. Half priced appetizers & discounted drinks! We came in, sat ourselves in the bar area tables w my best friends little girl — yes we did do that & yes we were at a TABLE. Not sitting at the bar. We got our order quick and we took some home. our bill was pretty cheap for 3 people. 1 thing that bugged me is that they didn’t bring water to the table right away. I had to ask 3x. Other than that we were good money. This isn’t the best applebees but it will do when you just need a quick drink & a bite after work. Especially when you’re too tired to cook for the little ones!

I went to this Applebee’s yesterday after work around 3:15 or so with my colleague. I must say the bartender was friendly, upbeat, and gave us great customer service !
We chose this location over the one closest to our job because when I called the server informed me that they had Happy Hour all day every day during the Summer ! #Score
After going to the Applebee’s on 125^th street and waiting over 30 mins to even be acknowledged by any one at the bar INCLUDING THE MANAGER ON DUTY, this next try at Applebee’s was a pleasant surprise.
I took away a star for the «unfriendly General Manager» who had a rude undertone when we gave him a customer compliment in regards to the bartender. He quickly said thank you and directed us to the website while looking elsewhere and then barking orders at the bartender in which whom although she was quite busy as the ONLY BARTENDER making drinks for EVERYONE at that time still took every order graciously and never got overwhelmed which I found amazing given the circumstance!
A tip: she ‘s not there on Tuesday & Thursday’s.
I definitely would return !

Love happy hour. Hate that they changed the happy hour rules. Now only certain apps qualify for half off. I wanted to break from the norm so I ordered the sweet Chili brisket sliders. Do not order the sweet Chili brisket sliders. They come on a naked plate with no garnish no nothing. They are really dry but the sauce is banging. They should consider putting the sauce on wings. They would KILL!

When I visited this Applebee’s about 2 weeks ago I was very disappointed! I had rib mashed and broccoli, the food was not what I am use to having at Applebee’s I was very unsatisfied. The broccoli was disgusting it tasted old, the drink I had was also nasty … The waitress was okay and the hostess was okay as well.

Dear Applebees, you simply have to do better. MUCH better.
I was waiting for some menu changes from my local spot. Sooner or later, bland chain restaurant choices will have me eating somewhere else in a heartbeat. So, the other day I waltz into the neighborhood joint, and low & behold… Jerk Chicken… Alright… Ok… It was different, daring, and a cultural risk. It was also terrible and disappointing to the fact that I had to have words with the manager. They had the nerve to fry the chicken, and proceed to add some jerk paste on top of it, as if it’s some sort of honey or whatever they use to make sticky chicken. As many actual Jamaicans there are in New York City, you would think that outsourcing this sort of menu item should have been an option for their decision maker’s decision-​making thoughts. In any account, it was clear that the cook was not a West Indian of no known origin.

This location use to be a good spot just came after a while I’m guessing there new management our server wasn’t property train first he mistake my guest drink 3 times then he bring our order incomplete

This is by far the worst Applebees EVER! No one bothers to greet you when you enter & God forbid you seat yourself? (the waitress made sure to make a sarcastic remark about it) if we were seated & greeted we wouldn’t have sat anywhere.
The service is slowwww. The drinks are gross & watered down. The food is just BAD! how can you mess up food that’s pre-​prepped?! Lol This was my second & last time going there. The staff needs to learn customer service skills & the location needs to be managed better. Take your money elsewhere.

Disappointed once again! I came here for Happy Hour Sunday to receive one waitress that seem to have an attitude once we told her we didn’t want to sit where she seated us. The drinks and appetizers were $ 5 but the drinks didn’t even taste like their was alcohol in them. Wonton Tacos were great! The other appetizers we had (wings and mozzarella sticks) were old and overcooked. We also had two meals, grilled chicken and chicken penne, completely overdone! Burnt chicken, hardly no alcohol in our drinks and an expensive meal!!! Never again! I just went here because of the convenience but this Applebee’s need to be replaced. Bring us an outstanding Dallas BBQ instead!

This place does not even deserve 1 star. Went there on New Year’s Eve with the family & once again had the worst experience. We went in around 8, so it was not that busy. We sat in the happy hour section and placed our orders on drinks and appetizers. Our drinks came fast however the appetizers took forever. We had to wait almost 45 minutes to get our food. Meanwhile, a group of guys came 10 minutes after us and they had the same waitress. She was so caught up flirting and catering to them that she completely ignored my table. They received their appetizers within the 10 minutes they arrived. How is that possible? After 45 minutes of wait, we finally got our food and as expected it was cold. So I’m assuming she forgot all about my table. And to make it worst, each dish had ingredients missing because the place ran out of stock. My chicken quesadilla came without bacon, lettuce and sour cream. The boneless wings barely had sauce because they ran out of all the sauces. My mozzarella sticks were cold, and I had requested 2 marinara sauce because the one that came with our dish wasn’t enough. As expected, she took forever. I continued to see her going back n fourth to the table of guys and she even went back into the kitchen a few times… Still no marinara sauce. After 15 minutes of waiting I reminded her again, and yet again she did the same thing. We received the sauces after 30 minutes and by then there were no more mozzarella sticks left. I was getting extremely frustrated to the point were I had to ask to switch my waitress. But by that time happened, my father was ready to leave. Worst service ever! Never again. Ohhh, did I mention, after she was told about my complaint on her service, she began giving us attitude.

My husband and I have visited this location a few times and we’ve had favorable experiences, but the last time was the worst. During this visit, we ordered an appetizer; the spinach artichoke dip and chips and it took more than 20 minutes to arrive. When our food finally came, the dip was ice cold; it should have been hot and the chips were oily and stale. It was extremely hard to flag down our waiter, but we were finally able to get his attention after 10 minutes. He said that there was nothing he could do, but remove the charge from our bill. As he removed the unwanted appetizer from our table, they delivered the main course; burgers and fries. It’s pretty hard to screw up burgers and fries, but they managed to do that too. The burger was bland and taste less. I could have made a better burger at home. Never again!
This location has potential, because of the atmosphere and location, but it always manages to fall short.
On a scale of 1 – 10, I give the food and drinks= 4
The food could be way better and the drinks are watered down. Smh

Initially this spot, which replaced Chicago Bar and Grill, was «reasonable» but today I’m not so sure. My last few visits here have never ended with a good feeling. The staff, bartenders, etc. don’t seem to notice when new customers come in and have repeatedly given off an unpleasant attitude.
The staff needs to improve —
— the way they deal with customers
— with dealing with the diff. situations in restaurant with more tact
The food also needs to improve because it is inconsistent. I will admit that there are days when they get it right but other times dishes are too salty, not fresh and prepared poorly.
Okay, maybe I’m expecting too much from them. It’s only Applebee’s. Still owners of restaurants must hold themselves accountable to a standard that gives customers the desire to return to their business. This place, does not seem to understand that.

The newest addition to the local eateries in Parkchester of the Bronx is the new Applebee’s. While some might read this and say «Wow, another chain restaurant. Big deal». But this Applebee’s is a par better than the rest — including it’s local cousin in Co-​Op City.
It’s not the food that makes this place better than most Applebee’s, it’s the atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly and always seem to go out of their way to make sure your happy and satisfied. The décor is not the usual sport related items I’ve seen hung at a dozen Applebee’s I’ve been to before. This one actual uses picture from the local Parkchester area and uses highlights of graffiti to give this location a special neighborhood feeling to it.
The food is no better or no worse than your typical Applebee’s but the décor, if your from the Parkchester area, makes you feel at home.
