Great low prices and such fresh produce! The cashiers are also so nice and helpful. They also bag your fruits the right way so they don’t get damaged(:

I have ordered from here for 7 years, today was my last order, the past 3 orders were blatently wrong and when you call to ask for what you had initially asked for they give you a hard time as though you had made the mistake. Today was the last straw, I ordered something and specifically asked for the flavor of the product to NOT be seafood(allegic), I confirmed that they understood, the guy hurried me off the phone saying«yes yes no fish» The order showed up with NOTHING but fish. I called and the woman rudely sighed and said, well do you need it now? I replied I ordered this an hour ago, yes I need this now. She hung up. I called back and stated I would go elsewhere and threw it out. Never again, service has gone downhill fast

A nice, neighborhood grocery/produce market that was a little too far North when I lived on the UES — but if I was in the nabe — I would stop in. Lovely prepared foods, decent prices.

I have enjoyed shopping here for over 15 years. As a neighborhood shop it is friendly and clean and fresh for NYC.

I was on my way home in my new hood and was craving some fruits. I looked up and saw Annie’s Fruits & Vegetables! How appropray. I stopped in and bought two packs of strawberries for $ 4 and two packs of blackberries for $ 3. The blackberries were oh sooooo sweet. However the strawberries were a bit old, shriveled and not sweet at all. I guess it was my own fault to not carefully pick out some good strawberries, but it is a tad hard since they all look quite similar in their little plastic containers. The prices are okay — you can get cheaper strawberries on the corner fruit stands. The other vegetables didn’t look that fresh or appealing to me, but it was at the end of the day towards end of the week so maybe they needed to restock? It is pretty pricey though! I’ve always wondered where the old/rotten fruit and veggies go if they aren’t sold??? Anyone know? Anyways, they’re open 24hrs so it’s good if at 2am on your way home you’re craving some clementines and heinekens.

Seem to have recently changed hands and prices have gone through the roof. Add on average 90 cents to a $ 1.25 to the price of any item you buy in any other market or grocery store.

Still a bit drunk from last night’s Drinko de Mayo boozefest I dropped into this place on my way to the subway. Needed some fruit to help soak up all the liquid damage I did to my body. Really nice little combo produce and bodega store. Great selection of fruits and vegetables, and comparable if not better then supermarket pricing. The store is packed wall to wall with all types of grocery products, prepared foods, coffees, herbs, etc. Everything looks so colorful and fresh here. Good stuff!

The produce in the area grocery stores(I’m looking at you, Gristede’s!) is a total joke, so this is the place to come and get it. They have a large selection, the products are fresh and in good condition. You don’t have to go hunting through a pile of crappy produce to find a good tomato at this place! It is also open 24 hours, so if you need to pick up some water or Gatorade on your drunk stumble home, Annie’s will be open!

Little groceries abound in NYC, but this one has an awesome and fresh selection of produce. You can always find the fresh herbs that you need, plus hard-to-find recipe ingredients like celery root. If you are a cook or gourmet and live in the area, skip the schlepp to Fairway and try out Annies.

Their fruits and veggies are cheaper and fresher than the Grocery stores in the area so that’s a huge plus for me. The store is packed to the brim but they have a great prepared food section and other specialty foods. Instead of walking past it everyday go in and check it out. You’ll be presently surprised.
