Went here for lunch with my wife and we both got sick. I had a chicken caesar wrap, she had a salad. Turns out my brother in law went here as well and got food poisoning. Not sure if anything there is cooked properly or prepared the right way, but I won’t come back here for any food off the grill or at the salad bar.

Fruit flies around the coffee lids. Milk dispenser is a mess. I’m giving up the duke title to this place.

I went to eat here with a couple of people, we were the only customers. We sat down to eat and noticed the tables and benches were all filthy. We asked the cashier to get someone to clean, she stared at us. Finally the manager came over, he spent more time telling us they do not clean tables and if we wanted them cleaned we should do it ourselves than it would have taken for him to clean. Food mediocre — customer service disgusting.

You suck, my coworkers have warned me about this place… but what did I do, I entered at my own risk. Yes I got food poisoning from your shitty establishment now I understand why your letter grade is all over the place. Thanks for the pain and suffering!

This is my go-to place during lunch when I haven’t brought from home. Lots of delicious different options and everyone has always been super pleasant to me. Give the manners you wish to receive!

I’ll keep this short and sweet. Fast when you are in a hurry, fills you up and the coffee’s hot. Not Tavern on the Green.

Very friendly staff, usual deli with many options of eggs. Sandwiches, salads, coffee, tea. Fruit, etc. I get my lunch from here every day

Amici 36 really stepped up their game after the arrival of IGK down the block. They have more, and better, options. The beef bibimbap is a great deal: a generous portion of «mixed rice» with veggies(salad greens, bean sprouts, sauteed carrots, zucchini, mushrooms, and onions), beef, an egg, sauce, a side of miso soup, and kimchee for under ten bucks. It’s very tasty. The staff even seem friendlier.

Let me start off by saying only buy pre-packaged items. I work in the building above Amici 36, & that place if disgusting!!! They’re extremely dirty, and the majority of the cashiers are extremely rude. I’ve worked in the area for 2 years, and all of a sudden they started charging tax on basic things like a bag of chips, can/bottle of soda, & candy. I don’t know who they think they are… When I asked them on why they suddenly started charging tax they pointed fingers at their boss. And I don’t know how many times I need to remind them that credit card minimums are ILLEGAL!!! DON’T GO!!!

I really really love this place. It’s not exactly fancy but it is wonderful. It’s your basic New York City cafeteria buffet… But really really well done! If you can get there a little before the crowd –perhaps at noon or little before. The variety is really spectacular and you just get your food and go wherever you want. there is a place to sit down there but you can also take it out. I want to thank whoever is the main chef and also whoever does the purchasing!

ZEROSTARS! ZEROSTARS!!! I AMTYPINGINALLCAPSSOYOUKNOW I’M SERIOUS! There was only 1 other person in line when I placed my order. The person ahead of me ordered a feast so I understood the wait. 10 minutes later, the moran(urban dictionary it) worker hands food to newcomers. Here’s how the conversation went: Me: Wait, what happened to my order? Moran: What would you like? Me: I ordered already! You were the one who took my order! Moran: I did? What did you have? Me: The Bulgogi! Are you kidding me?! I’ve been waiting for 10 minutes. Moran: Oh sorry. The moran rushed and made me a sloppy dish that was LESSTHANUSUAL! Like half the weight they usually give people! At this point I had a meeting in 8 minutes, so I had no choice but to grab my lunch and take 2 bites so my stomach doesn’t yell during my meeting. Which is all the dish had to offer anyway, just 2 bites. I hope the owner of this unfine establishment reads this review because I have a message for you: Go fuck yourself, morans!

I ran in here when I had a few mins to get out and about on a workday. There is one hot bar, a soup bar and a few cold salad bars there from what I remember. There were also some grill areas there where someone will make what you want and hand it to you. I did not look at those very carefully because I just hit the cold/hot bars. I got a strange mix of stuff which is exactly what I wanted. I was going to consider going back but then when walking past again, I noticed the health score was low; a C. Since there are many places similar to this deli, I will go to a cleaner one next time. Granted, I only sepnt 6 bucks so I did not expect much.

I never write reviews but I thought this was completely necessary. I work right next to this place and would go there for lunch every now and then but yesterday when I went to buy my salad I went to eat it and on top of it was a huge bug and I walked back down to amici to get my money back and very calmly told the cashier what happen(because I’m not interested in drama) I showed her the bug and then she asked if I wanted another salad I replied with a simple no I’m actually a little grossed out can I just have my money back. At this point she proceeded to tell me I couldn’t have my money back we went back and forth for a while and never received a refund for my food. I have never received such awful customer service. I want to warn everyone to eat here at their own risk.

These jack-of-all-trades delis are a dime a dozen. What makes Amici stand out? The C health rating on the door. C does not stand for«clean» in this case. And the people who work there aren’t even nice. Try Bistro or IGK, both of which are nearby.

This was my daily salad spot until a few weeks ago, more because of convenience than anything. Last time in, ordered from the stir fry station, where they clean the pans between each order so I felt ok ordering, considering my gluten allergy. I asked for rice noodles and I believed they were rice noodles. Got back to the office and my face felt hot after eating, bad sign that happes on occasion from a small cross contamination. Then it turned into a full on gluten histamine reaction. Maybe a small error for the guy who took my order but I was very polite and clear about requesting rice noodles.

I never thought to review this place, although I come here nearly every day for lunch or to grab something for breakfast. The quality of the food is hit or miss, depending on what you get. What prompted me to review, however, is they recently put in an actual Korean food station, which sets the place apart from basically every other deli. Options are limited, but their bibimbap is very good and their soon dubu soup is pretty good(not the best, but it’ll do). They also now offer ramen(or ramyeun, if you want to get all Korean), beef soup, and dopbap, none of which I have tried. The Korean food comes with a side of kimchi and miso soup. I actually like their kimchi, it’s really vinegary and saucy, which is what I prefer. The food is cheaper than what you’d get in K-town(around $ 8). Other things that are good here: pizza, udon, most of their meats at their hot food buffet station, and their cold sandwiches. I’m not too big on their hot sandwiches, coffee, or anything with pasta in it(hot or cold, all of their pasta is all mushy and oily). They also opened up a new Mexican food/burrito station, which I have yet to try. I think the place gets a 3.5, really, but seeing how 3 stars gives it an A-OK, I think it’ll suffice.

This store could’ve been great with an open floor plan and a second level. Alas nothing is great, no fresh air, no great food. Try Bistro around the corner, on 34th.

I eat here on a regular basis. There food is good and predictable. Some stuff is great, like their made to order salads, but other are not as good, like the chicken salad which was tough and bland. They have an extensive selection of hot entrees and the sides are very good. I love adding the wasabi and fresh ginger to my selections.

So the food isn’t the best you will ever find — but their salad bar is pretty awesome — more than 40 options every day! Also, their Udon is great — you can customize with all kinds of veggies and protein.

I have been here a couple of times now and the results have mixed. Sometimes its quick, other times super slow. Overall the food is OK for the price but nothing to right home about. The Italian sub I got the other was probably the worst. Th cold cuts were sliced too thick and the meat wasn’t that good. The better of them was their chicken parm. A hero is just over 6 bucks not a bad deal.
