A friend and I were invited here for a reality show taping… After signing some waivers, we were treated to free bottles of Ciroc and a bunch of mixers in exchange for just sitting and talking to the other patrons on set. I’d say the night was a win for us, but can’t vouch for this place on other«regular» nights. The space itself is very flexible for photo/video shootings, as it’s got a large first floor entryway, second floor balcony/lounge area, and a tall connecting room joining the two spaces together. Chandeliers and upstairs furniture are classy/antique and there seemed to be plenty of space for the A/V guys to position lighting for certain scenes. Even though we dealt mostly with the production staff, the people who actually worked for the venue were really friendly throughout the evening.

I came here a couple of weeks ago for a party. I liked the space. It is not that glamorous, it is out of the way in the lower part of Hell’s Kitchen, there are several rooms on multiple levels to explore(versus one big room), and the sound system was pretty good. Another thing I likes was that it was not trying to be exclusive, it was a welcoming place and the people working there from doormen to bartenders were all friendly. It reminded me of clubs from back in the late nineties, before bottle service and humiliating door policies. You go in, hear some good music, dance, or not dance, have drinks, talk to your friends, make new friends… you know, have fun at a club and have a good time.

Horrible sound system: no soundproofing within the space means the inside sounds terrible and the escaping bass probably does not make this place loved by its neighbors. My advice is to go to a place with a better sound set-up and system.

Went to a birthday party here. Its in hell’s kitchen. despite the location we found parking pretty fast and near by. the only annoying thing is that the parking on the block of AM Studios is until 4am only, which seems kind of late, but you never know what’s going to happen… lol! the place: its really nice and swanky looking. beautiful chandeliers, white clean looking sofas, and single person restrooms(which were okay). Had a second balcony type level that looked over the dance floor, the DJ was on this level, there was also lots of really nice looking antique furniture, so it was like a chill spot. the entrance led you down a small hallway and then into to main party room. Large size dance floor and lots of seating. had a separate smaller area off to to the side with a bar, cake table and table with appetizers. did I say this place was really nice? okay I did… LOL the service: doorman was super nice and polite. wait staff not so friendly, not like they were rude, they just seemed busy. also they seemed reluctant to help. I asked a bartender a question and his answer was«oh I don’t know nothing about that» and smiled. some assistance would of been nice, since it did involve the birthday girl. I guess these people get tired at a certain point… wait I thought it was a club… LOL Birthday girl had«party planner», she seemed like she only wanted to deal with the birthday girl. the music was great not sure who provided the DJ, I’m assuming it was am studios. drinks were 12 bucks and served in a small glass cup. overall: we had an AWSUM time, party rocked till the sun came up! Would def go back to AM Studios(they are at the same location as HK Lounge, would like to visit that lounge as well)

I like the AM Studio has multiple floors. That’s pretty cool. The prices are pretty high: $ 8 bottle beer, $ 12 mixed drink. Sound is pretty average for a club. Hard to work with the manager.
