BAITANDSWITCH«REWARDS» I.E. BEWAREALOHAPROTEIN My most recent«reward» from was a «free» sample of this company’s protein powder. They needed my credit card or paypal number for«shipping» $ 3 fine. When i read my email confirmation, it details how and when they are going to STARTMYSUBSCRIPTIONTO refills of their product. OFCOURSE that was not prominently displayed ANYWHERE, but in the fine print, which, of course i didn’t bother to read, because WHOWOULDDOTHATTO A POTENTIALCUSTOMER? If Aloha is so worried that their product won’t sell for itself and so greedy that they need to actually trick people into signing up for a mandatory subscription to their products, well, that doesn’t bode well for them. And yes, of course, it requires an actual phone call to the company to undo the subscription. Bad form Aloha and Runkeeper. i guess i can’t trust either of you and certainly feel ripped off and left with bad feelings about both companies

I was drawn in by their sampler pack promo, which included a variety of their teas and a protein for only the cost of shipping. Of course, the fine print is that you are automatically signed up for the full price monthly service after that initial delivery. Luckily, you can immediately sign in to your account to halt deliveries or adjust billing date based on how long it takes you to go through the sampler. Ultimately, I wasn’t impressed. I’m not a big tea-drinker, but the company sells a variety of health supplements and products. Perhaps this wasn’t the best angle to try to hook new customers, but the tea combinations didn’t wow me and they missed an opportunity to provide additional materials about their other offerings. Instead it just comes across as a plan to hook you for the monthly bill hoping you don’t notice or care about the autodrafted amount.
