Typical for the Heights it is pricey and selection is limited. Live very close so I would frequent more but unfortunately there is a little man in glasses who works the counter overnight. He will argue with you over a penny but doesn’t mind giving incorrect change.

I love my little All-In-One Mart, though I believe that it really appeals to a certain kind of shopper/home cook. I cook from home A LOT, and I’m very nearly a vegetarian. All-In-One has a wide range of fresh herbs, produce, and specialty items(fantastic Asian condiments and spices), so I can always pick up ingredients for whatever weird recipe I’ve decided on for a last minute dinner. I want to give a special shout-out to their produce section. I appreciate that things don’t come excessively packaged up, so I don’t feel that I’m wasting large amounts of plastic. Fresh herbs are dirt cheap compared to the skimpy overpriced packages you get at other stores. The produce prices are great, and everything is always very fresh. There’s also a great price range here — you can get a $ 1.50 can of Goya beans or a $ 4.00 can of organic beans and that variety extends to other products, too. FYI, their meat selection is minimal. I’ve done well with their shrimp and cold cuts(and bacon, thank god), but you won’t find the chicken/beef/pork staples here. The folks who work here are quick, efficient, and always helpful when I’m trying to track down a weird spice.

ABSOLUTELYDISGUSTING. MUSTTOAVOID. I just stopped at All In One for a few items that are cheaper there than at the Gristede’s next door. Unfortunately, I got what I paid for in terms of customer service… The cashier who rung me up was obviously suffering from a cold, with a red nose and a sniffle. That’s fine – who among us can afford to call in sick? What was not fine was that, instead of wiping the stream of snot running down to his lip with a tissue, he wiped it off with his bare hand right in front of me, then used the same hand to pick up each of my items while he rang them up. I should have said something or made a scene right then, but honestly, it was so gross I was dumbstruck. I did, however call them when I got back home to let the manager know what happened, which I did respectfully and calmly. He offered to let me come back and exchange the items. I explained that it was all packaged food and I didn’t want to go out again, but I did ask him to talk to the cashier and explain why this was a problem. Based on the unconcerned tone of his response, I asked, «you’re not going to do anything, are you?» and he simply repeated, «thank you sir, goodbye.» Again, someone comes to work with a cold, not the end of the world. But to be so rude and dismissive to a customer trying to report something that was completely unacceptable and really should be brought to the attention of the board of health? And now, I am inclined to take it further – anyone know how to reach the aforementioned board of health?

Someone earlier called this a «convenience market,» and I suppose if that’s what your expectations are, it’s OK: thus the second star. As a grocery store, it’s also adequate, and it’s fish is indeed fresh. In the North Heights we have little choice, hugely overpriced Gristedes’s and All-inOne. That’s it. But All-in-One’s claim to fame, so to speak, is that it’s a greengrocer, when in fact Gristedes, even Gristedes, has better produce and vegetables. They, at least, occasionally have organic strawberries and the like. The produce in AIO is merely the standard fare, never better. As to the question of «people who work the register,» whom another writer called«buttholes,» I wouldn’t agree, nor would I call anyone who has to work for that true horror, the manager, anything but valiant and stoical. The owners, who have gone on to another store in Dumbo, at least manage a pose of geniality. This farbissen(check your Yiddish dictionary) is a bit of a monster. Oh, and I have a disabled friend in the area who gets food stamps, but AIO refuses them. illegal, no?

Great convenience store in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood. It’s much nicer than many convenience stores… Even includes a wonderful selection of fresh good quality fruits and veggies. Also has a deli counter and pre made sections. As well as every other thing as convenience store typically carries. It’s my personal choice over the next door neighbor, Gristedes. May be a little more expensive but most things are much better quality.

So i have lived in the heights for like 14 years and have been going to this place since it opened. it is fairly well-stocked but pricey as is typical for the neighborhood. i’d be able to suck that up if the people who work the registers weren’t such buttholes. this one lil dude in particular acts like he owns the place. he will argue you over 5 cents but not give you the right change or not even attempt to protest if someone is like«keep the change.» there are no tips for the register. just an evil little creature. oh and on a separate note, the fish marked wild actually is not and the gelato in that kiosk never gets changed. ever.

The sandwich maker is rude. Extremely nasty to customers. I will never go there again!

This market has a huge selection of fresh produce and packaged goods. A better choice than the Gristedes which is right next door.

pretty good produce, actually — cheaper and a better selection than Gristedes right next door. everything else in the store is a bit more expensive, but they have a great assortment of earth friendly products and beer — also better than Gristedes. the flowers will literally die the next day, though. if you want flowers, venture to the deli across the street and a block down in the St George Hotel building — beautiful, cheaper and last way longer.

Not bad at all for a neighborhood grocery store. I go here frequently, as it’s open 24 hours and I live ~2 blocks away. They have almost everything I need and the produce is pretty good too, the avocados are decent. Sometimes they are slow to restock things but overall I like this place. I end up doing most of my shopping here.

way better than Gristedes, that place is terrible. I seem to spend most of my shopping money here if I am not leaving the area. Lots of selection and nice people run as clerks. How on earth does the Plymouth Café across the street stay open as it does the exact same thing but, way worse?

I do most of my shopping here. The produce is anywhere from 25 – 50 percent cheaper than it’s next door competitor, Gristedes. There is a $ 10 minimum for a credit/debit card which grinds my gears, but what can you do? They carry thai/japanese produce due to the asian community which has allowed me to branch out with my cooking experience. A bell pepper and a shallot are 89 cents. You can’t beat that. It’s right across the street and it’s convenient. 2 thumbs up.

Fine, it’s open 24 hours, and the produce is better than the cess pool next door. That said, don’t come here looking for anything fancy: it’s just your sad neighborhood market stocked with the usual staples. They don’t even carry chicken breast. Wtf?

This place is located diagonally across from my building in BKLYN, so it’s super convenient for me. This market was formerly called Peas & Pickles, but they expanded, remodeled, and re-emerged as the All In One Food Mart(btw, they should really think about adding hyphens to their store title to be grammatically correct; «all in one» is an adjective in this case, therefore it should be «all-in-one»). The new, expanded store is great b/c they carry a lot more products. Also, they now have a much expanded deli area with fresh-made sandwiches, sushi, and take away dinner items(e.g., chicken parmesan and fresh salads). They even have a hot food bar, which, although features a limited selection, is quite convenient when I want to grab some hot food on the run. Interestingly, they have also added a gelato bar with tasty looking gelato in a variety of flavors(I still have yet to try it, though). I don’t often see people getting the gelato, but, it’s still winter… so that may be the reason. The prices at All-In-One Mart are kinda high, but not nearly as high as the Gristedes market next door to it. For example, you don’t wanna buy your mayo here b/c it will set you back $ 6 — redonkulous! With that said, there are some items which seem priced well. For example, all of their fresh produce is reasonably priced. Also, note that their fresh produce section is expansive and features just about anything you could want– plus, all the items look great and are typically super fresh!

This location used to be Peas and Pickles. Now, with new expansion, it is All in One Food Mart, and it’s as good — if not, better than — Gristedes next door. You can get gelato, fresh produce, seafood, kefir, sundries, fresh tofu, snacks, coffee, beer, ginormous carrots… They even carry enoki mushrooms. The garlic is good. They didn’t have almond milk in cartons(as opposed to difficult-to-recycle Tetrapaks) beginning of September 2012. They also have fresh flowers, and very nice vegetables. Not local, but nice-looking. The produce is a bit on the expensive side. I could go to the market on Montague and pay about two-thirds the price of All In One. But you’re paying for convenience. I’ve never seen meat there aside from seafood, meats with nitrates, and other bacon. It’s open 24 hours. There’s a place to tie your dog just outside the door on Pineapple Walk, which I think is safer than on Henry Street. The clerks are nice, especially the ones who work at night. Yay! I’m a fan.
