As far as lounges go, this is the worse one I have ever visited. The menu is pitiful, and the space is very small. It is quiet, although terminal 5 rarely gets overcrowded. Not too sure why anyone would pay the $ 25 fee. I get in for free with my Amex Platinum, but rarely visit anyway because it is not worth my time.

It’s a good place to hang out and relax compared to the very busy airport traffic. Staff is not super great though…

T5 at JFK The place is pathetic. … Airspace Lounge Corp should pay you! … No need for specifics. Simply read the other reviews. I want to focus on the next paragraph. Here’s a something that enraged me when I saw it: … Military INUNIFORM(only) get a FIVE-DOLLAR discount(go to their website and read it for yourselves). … For this reason alone(not to mention the lounge itself), you should avoid it like the plague. … Imagine the gall of not permitting an American Hero in uniform to enter for free. … But, but, but, with a plat. AMEX you can.

Amex should be ashamed to be affiliated with this lounge. Unfriendly people, simple accommodations and a filthy restroom. Told host and she didn’t apologize or attempt to take action. We will bypass this space next time.

I recently had a JetBlue flight from JFK to LAS, though I normally fly American. I was pleased to discover that I had access to the Airspace Lounge in Terminal 5, so I was able to grab a quick snack for my long flight. I had been to the Airspace Lounge at BWI, and this one was the same food menu. I always get the charcuterie platter. The bathroom in the JFK lounge has the most amazing toilet, they’re getting an extra star for that! I felt like I was back in Asia!

I was happy to see this at CLE. I was not aware that it was available to Amex card holders for free.(Free being a relativist term) The drinks were top notch and the food was way better than I was expecting.

This is a good option to have for a minimal cost $ 25.00 if you want to avoid the masses and enjoy some peace and quiet between flights. You do get unlimited coffee, soda, and chex-mix, and you get $ 10 credit towards food or drink — I asked for my food to be ‘to go’ and they pack it for you in a nice container which was nice. You also get free wi-fi, although somewhat slow… So in essence it is only $ 15.00. It is clean, and newer furnishings, sort of a loft with two levels of seating. Now, this is worth mentioning: the bathroom has heated seat! And a sensor which lifts the seat top-cover! That was cool, although hot :) Just wish the entire lounge was a little more spacious. Will definitely use it again, although I have seen better lounges.

Pretty sad and gross Jet Blue! You should have more help for this guy doing it all. For a daily charge to enter then unwind in this, not so hot or relaxing. This place is littered with trash and dirty bar glasses. I should’ve gone to admiral, better value, always an exceptional experience. The worst part about this was the manager was around the entire time. He couldn’t even help his employee. The guy working was a rockstar, to be the manager, and to not jump in to keep it from getting to this dumpy stage is horrifying.

I missed my flight and the next one was going to be the following morning. I did not want to risk leaving the airport and missing the next one so I had to sleep in terminal 5 instead. Though the lounge was not open overnight(something about flights not going through the JetBlue terminal during certain hours, which was unfortunate for me), I just wanted to say that Tobias and Shelly of the AirSpace Lounge were absolutely wonderful to me. Tobias, the manager, gave me suggestions of where to go to sleep(the more quieter gates in the back), and then notified Shelly to let me in a little bit earlier, around ~4a, when the lounge opened back up to make sure I could sleep in a more secure area before my 9a flight. The lounge itself is small but it’s quiet, lots of seating, there’s an area to eat, a place to shower, and the $ 25 fee for the day includes $ 10 credit to spend on food or alcohol.

I got in for free here with my Amex Platinum, and it was a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of early morning JFK, which is like a human ant farm. Along with admission came a $ 10 gift card, so that was nice, too. But two stars. The person working the lounge was about as gruff as it gets… I wasn’t even sure if they were going to speak to me while I stood there with my card. The food, yeah, «meh…» If I had to pay for it in full I’d be a little irked at how much my breakfast sandwich resembled something I’d make in college in the microwave on a sheet of paper towel. The internet is basically as fast as two tin cans attached with a string. This, for me, is the worst part of this lounge. If you have work to do online, you’ll be waiting. It’s otherwise perfectly comfortable and clean, if not a little small. Cushy but narrow chairs, some bar seats… that’s about the gist of it. I’d spend my $ 25 elsewhere, but if you have complimentary access, it’s a decent place to while away your layover time.

I can’t in all earnestness ding this place because more airports could really use places where perhaps if you can’t relax, at least you can shower. When you take a red eye and have a meeting the morning you get in, what are you supposed to do? It’s too early to check into a hotel unless you want to pay in advance for a room you only use for a few hours. I believe it’s worth $ 25 not to show up to a meeting feeling sticky and your hair standing straight up. The other reviews here are accurate. The agents who serve you aren’t particularly welcoming but the girl who greeted me did set up the shower nicely with shampoo, conditioner, a razor, shaving cream, soap, toothpaste and a toothbrush in a kit. They have a rainforest showerhead and another shower nozzle affixed next to a pull down seat for those that need to shower sitting down. The vanity mirror has a monitor built into it that shows flight statuses which is kind of a neat touch. Note: You should bring a pair of flip flops if you don’t want to stand on tile that’s been used by others. If you’re already clean, they have two unisex bathrooms(one is in the same room as the shower) to use that have hi-tech toilets featuring buttons to raise both lids, flush light, flush heavy and the seat is heated to boot. There’s a business lounge with a printer and a computer or two in case you didn’t bring one. In the main room on two separate levels, they installed several armchairs fitted with AC outlets to charge your devices while you nap, a fast wifi network and a bar where you can order alcoholic drinks or food items from a rather limited menu. One person ordered the breakfast sandwich they sell for about $ 6 and it looked pretty basic, just egg, cheese and sausage between English muffin halves that they nuke. They only offer coffee, soda, water and tea along with a Chex mix and fruit for free. Of course, this is only in Terminal 5 behind security so if you didn’t fly in on JetBlue, you’re out of luck! :(

Not impressed at all. Had a long wait between flights so decided to try this lounge. Temperature was too warm. All the rooms were lit, no where to close your eyes and relax, fluorescent lights beaming deep into your brain from all corners of the room. The lounge was slightly dirty, messy and unkept. The staff does a terrible job keeping it clean. No lazy boy couches to recline, food selection is bad and the self serve drink fountain area is dirty. I do not recommend.

Atmos: Chilly, 2 levels, on the small side, clean, bright. $ 25/day — we used it because of delayed flights and a 8 hour lay over. Complimentary Stuff: Meh to Good(depending) — the free snacks were only cheddar chex mix and apples(meh). They only had black or herbal tea(no green etc)(Boo). They have their own wifi network — fast(Good!). They offer complimentary shower and unisex bathrooms(Ok — no towels to access…). Heated Toilet seats in the bathroom(great!). Free coffee is Peets — it’s alright. We used the $ 10 credit to get some of their«premium menu food» — note the menu is VERY small and VERY cheese/dairy heavy. The food was Ok. It was worth having a private bathroom and a padded bench to nap on that wasn’t in the main terminal and the peace and quiet from all the intercom announcements and the free hot drinks(even if lacking) — so we would probably do it again if at JFK laid over for more than 3 hours.

Yes the food selection is meh, the soup is from a can and the food/drink prices are too high. Once you look past that, it’s not a bad place to be when the lounge is fairly empty(late Sunday night for example). The bathrooms were a slight improvement over the airport ones, and there are some cozy areas where you can take a quick nap. It’s free for certain Amex card holders and you get $ 10 food/drink credit per person(including guest). So I’d definitely stop by if it’s free for you but not for $ 25/pp.

As far as airport lounges go this one was a bit underwhelming. The food selections were pretty sparse and the bar was under stocked. The lounge *is* much more peaceful than the surrounding area, and the staff is friendly, but it’s not a place I can see myself posting up for more than an hour.

Whenever I fly whether for biz or pleasure I always try to make use of an airport club lounge to avoid the annoying masses and their obnoxious spawn at the gate. If you can spend your time waiting in a club lounge I highly recommend it. It’s kind of spoiling. This was my first time using the Airspace Lounge in Terminal 5 at JFK airport. As compared to many other club lounges I have been in this one was kind of a disappointment but still better than waiting at the gate next to some oblivious parents and their screaming kids. Small lounge. Not much seating overall. I was here on Sunday night so it was empty. Must be crazy crowded during peak times. Modern décor to match the terminal 5 color scheme. Clean enough. Plenty of outlets to charge up. A few computers available to use. Worth it if you can get in for free as I did. Not sure if I would pay the $ 25 fee to get use this lounge. Free $ 10 credit when entering is a nice perk though. Free WiFi but its kind of spotty and slow at times. Complimentary coffee, tea, and chex mix. Some food items for purchase, but in other lounges it’s offered free. Staff was kind of indifferent and not really trained bartenders. Complimentary admission with Platinum Amex card which is a big plus otherwise a $ 25 entrance fee for all others. Really a 2.5 star experience but I’ll round up to 3 stars just for the fact I was able to get in free, have a beer, and avoid waiting around at the gate.

JetBlue is an awesome airline and I have been flying them a lot lately. For a low cost carrier, they have a great in-flight experience and I would choose to fly them over any of the other domestic carriers any day. However, one of the downsides to flying JetBlue is their lack of lounges. Even for Mint business class passengers or those holding Mosaic elite status, lounge access is not provided and you have to pay to use any of the contract lounges. At JFK, the contract lounge is the Airspace Lounge located in T5. The Airspace Lounge is located air-side(past security) between gates 24 and 25 and is the only airport lounge located in the terminal. Entry is complimentary for Aer Lingus business class passengers and Gold Circle Club members and American Express Platinum(business and personal) card holders. American Express Platinum card holders are allowed to bring their immediate family members or up to two guests free of charge. Everyone else, regardless of the airline they are flying, can pay the the daily entrance fee to use the lounge. Admission is $ 35 but with tax/fees, the total comes out to $ 38.11/per person, per day. Everyone admitted receives a $ 10 credit towards food/cocktail purchases. The lounge is open from 4:30AM to 11:00PM daily. Lounge services and amenities include complimentary soft drinks, coffees, teas and snacks, a full bar with bartender service, shower room, semi-private conference room, WiFi, complimentary scanning and printing and assistance with delays. The lounge itself is tiny and at the time of my visit, 3:00PM on a Sunday, was very crowded and loud. This is definitely not the place to be if you are looking for some peace and quiet or need to get some serious work done. There are two small sitting areas, a glass enclosed TV room, bar area with bartender service and an open work space area. Electrical outlets were plentiful and were located at every seat in the lounge. The complimentary drinks and snacks include soft drinks, Peets coffee and teas, some oranges and a Chex mix. Everything else can be purchased at the bar. With my $ 10 credit, I ordered the Charcuterie plate(four meats, a premium hand-sliced Ficocchiona, sopressata, bresola and country pâté served with piece of stirato bread) for $ 8 and a soft drink. Obviously, the portions were tiny and I didn’t even get a picture of it. Aer Lingus passengers receive complimentary food, wine, beer and spirits from the bar menu. There are two bathrooms inside the lounge and one of them is equipped with a decent size shower. The main reason why I paid for the lounge was because I needed to shower badly. It’s a long story but the hotel where I was staying at, the DoubleTree Financial District in lower Manhattan, had a water heater problem and I wasn’t able to shower before leaving the hotel. Because I hadn’t showered in 24 hours, I wanted to do my seatmates a favor and get one in before boarding my flight back to Los Angeles. To use the shower room, you have to notify one of the attendants and they will set it up for you. The shower service was actually nice. They prepped the shower room, put out a couple of towels and provided you with an amenity kit containing Institute Swiss branded shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste(but no toothbrush), razer and shaving cream. The unbranded, nylon zip kit is your’s to keep. Communal bottles of hand soap and lotion were provided in the shower room. Service-wise, the attendants were friendly and helpful. They were constantly cleaning and kept the lounge clean and free of used dishes, glasses and other trash. Overall, the Airspace Lounge is nice little place but I dont know if I could justify spending $ 38 bucks to use it nor would I recommend it to someone. T5 is not a bad place and you can easily use that money at any of the numerous restaurants and work at any of the open tables. The only benefit to the lounge is the shower room if you need to freshen up before or after your flight.

I stopped into Airspace Lounge with my father before our recent Aer Lingus flight to Ireland, and thought this lounge was very weak. I receive complimentary access with my American Express Platinum card, and this is the only«lounge» in JFK’s Terminal 5, so it was at least worth one visit. That said, the lounge itself is tiny and awkwardly arranged with a kind of elevated walkway with some seats and the bar, surrounding a lowered lounge space. Entrants to the lounge receive a $ 10 credit for food or drink each, and there was complimentary Chex Mix, apples, oranges, coffee, tea and soft drinks on offer. The food menu is rather mediocre. I ordered us a cheese and cracker board and a hummus dish, and they were fine, but hardly generously portioned for the prices. The bartender actually did not know what«rye»(whiskey) is, and the drinks are not terribly strong(again, they should be at these prices). As for the lounge itself, it was crowded and cramped, and nothing to write home about(especially given that Terminal 5 is probably the nicest terminal at JFK with its own excellent offering of bars and restaurants). So, I never thought I’d say this, but(even at $ 0.00) this lounge is not worth a visit. I’d rather pay a little more for a martini of normal strength in one of the other restaurants in the terminal. I wish Terminal 5 would have a «real lounge»(so far, the winner at JFK seems to be Wingtips Lounge in Terminal 4) but you can’t have everything!

It’s fine for what it was. It was free for us with $ 20 to spend to drinks or food, two bottle of water $ 18. Pro The room is quiet. It had a shower room and the washlet in the toilet like Japan. Con The space is modem but it’s not that clean, especially bathroom. Conversation between staff were too loud for such a small terminal lounge.

Not bad, but a very small lounge. Very quiet too, which is a great respite from the insanity of what transpires outside its door, but feels a bit awkward when you’re trying to have a whispered conversation with your travel companion. $ 10 credit buys you one drink at the bar(or at least subsidizes it) which is nice, but not quite as nice when the next one is full price. Would I return? Yeah, because it’s the only place to go in the JetBlue terminal… but I do wish they’d build a «real» lounge in the terminal.
