This is one of the most pleasant Italian restaurants in NY, in a great neighbourhood. Their Prosecco will please real connoisseurs. And it definitely has the best pizza and bread doughs in town!

Really underwhelming. The whole time I was there I was wishing I was across the street at the bar I had visited a few weeks ago. Bar envy. Really sad on a Friday night. The meal was completely forgettable. 2 memorable mentions: Cappuccino which was one of the best I have had in a while. Frothy delicious in a reasonably sized cup. Cannoli which was the absolute WORST I have ever tasted in my entire life. Seriously, I wouldn’t eat a cannoli at this place again if someone had a gun to my head. Everything about it was terrible from the shell to the weird tasting filling. Ugh. Never again.

Love this place… always a great meal, best Italian in downtown IMO. Bolognese is fantastic. Very reasonably priced as well.

Third attempt to post my loving review of Acqua. Really find the staff, atmosphere and food to be worth 5 stars by posting 3 times sharing my experience! Unilocal, please leave me up!!! Let the world know that Acqua at Peck Slip is worth a visit! Saw this was deleted by Unilocal and wanted to be sure that this was made available for viewers. I love this place. Thank you, again, for the experience! Great experience. We came here for lunch and we had such a delicious meal. The restaurant is casual with a touch of sophistication. Friendly staff and clean environment. Food is authentic Italian style and seasoned properly. Prices are reasonable and we are really looking forward to coming back.

Wife and I visited this fantastic restaurant while on vacation from California. We both had the Pappardelle and it was the best meal we had while visiting NYC.

Me and the hubby came here on the fly to have lunch. It seemed like our meal would be quite delicious. Hubby ordered the pasta with smoked salmon and caviar and I had the kale salad with chicken. I ordered a dirty martini with Absolut and 3 olives. They brought me a dirty martini with a vodka that surely wasn’t Absolut. When I told them my drink tasted funny. The waiter offered to make it again. Next the bartender comes over and explains they ran out of Absolut. Yo did they really try to play me?! now I’m upset they tried to get over. Then my food comes out. It literally looked like they put some kale and olive oil on the plate. Placed chicken breast already cut up for you on the salad then topped it with some soft croutons and parmigiana. WTF. My chicken breast was not even half an inch thick and who cuts up your chicken for you before placing on the salad! Not to mention it tasted like nothing. The chicken wasn’t flavored not one bit. Never again will I return. $ 16 wasted on a salad I could not enjoy. My 3 year old could have prepared this. Needless to say we paid for our food and got out of there.

After another disappointing meal at this restaurant, I’ve decided never to return to Acqua again. We live in the neighborhood, so we really want to like this place for the convenience and atmosphere, but the food is not authentic Italian… not even close. On our recent(and final) visit this Sunday for brunch, we ordered two pizzas. Both were tasteless. The crusts were completely bland and slightly undercooked. The alleged Buffalo mozzarella was watery and bland-definitely not Buffalo mozzarella as indicated on the menu. We left feeling completely dissatisfied and annoyed after paying nearly $ 40 for two unappetizing pizzas and one non-alcoholic beverage.

Good place for high quality food in a casual, airy, not pretentious atmosphere. This is hard to find near Wall Street. The service was attentive and the kitchen flexible. they let my friend use the sauce from the special on the regular pasta. GA

A group of four of us came here for dinner a few months ago then for brunch this week. It’s a wonderful, breezy, sunny, secluded location, with a rustic, charming, intimate atmosphere. And both times our waiter was very friendly. But the food at dinner was ten times better than the food at brunch. In my opinion, the thin dry cold slices of chicken that came with my $ 16 entrée were completely unacceptable and definitely overpriced. But all of our pastas & pizzas for dinner were really very good. Come at dinner!

Pizza was good but a little on the bland side. Very thin crust, almost too thin. Could’ve used more cheese as per my kids. Pasta was good, well cooked. We had the gnocchi with cream sauce and ham along with the spaghetti bolognese. Tasty. The corn chowder special with lobster and salmon caviar was delectable. Service was great. Courteous. Attentive.

I love this place — I live around the block — been going here for about 5 years now. Never, ever have had a bad meal. They even let my dog hang outside in the summertime and don’t care if I pick up coffee in the morning near the front door while on my morning walks. All the staff are authentic Italians — they work very hard and always with a smile on their face. Love their limoncello and generous pours(and sometimes a free refill)!!! Generous people, lovely atmosphere. I feel like family when I go there. Good times always.

Beautiful spot with lots of sunlight to pickup up an amazing $ 8 frittata that comes with salad and focaccia. And wonderful coffee drinks. Waiters are always friendly and the musical selection is solid. A lovely place to relax

We were strolling around the Seaport and FiDi on a Sunday, and found a Groupon deal for brunch($ 29 for two meals, four cocktails and two coffees/teas). The space was small and the décor was simple, no frills. It didn’t feel like a touristy place in the Seaport, so that was a plus. There was a decent crowd there for Sunday brunch, too. We were given a bread basket, ordered mimosas and the Uova Alla Caprese(Two poached eggs in a tomato-basil sauce with mozzarella and focaccia) and a ham and cheese omelette, with a side of avocado. I would rate the food as good — nothing disappointing, but nothing out of this world either. Though I must say the sauce in the Uova Alla Caprese was delicious! Staff was friendly. Good place to keep in mind when back in the area — I’d be interested in perhaps going in the evening for wine and light bites.

This restaurant charges a 20% «admin fee» for using a groupon, which I’ve never experienced elsewhere.(I still have the receipt as proof). Which is fine; I noted this should be put towards the waitstaff tip.

Came here for brunch. The food was good, nothing amazingly special. I got the smoked salmon egg dish and my boyfriend had a margarita pizza. The egg dish was better than the pizza. I thought the pizza lacked flavor to be honest. Nice ambiance and the staff was nice. They also have outdoor seating which is great when the weather is nice.

Very cozy downtown Seaport Italiano restaurant in one of city’s oldest historical spots with exquisite home made pasta and extraordinary organic ingredients. A large diversity of Italian dishes from north and south regions of Italy. Deliciousness at it’s Italian finest.

Nice atmosphere in a good location just down the block from the seaport. The brick walls of the old building give it a warm feel inside. Was a little hectic this day, but the service stayed the course and was efficient. We skipped apps and went right for the wine and the main course. Wine list was decent, but a little overpriced in my opinion. I know they usually are, but this seemed a little more than the usual rip off you find with wine prices. As for the food. I had the pappardelle with mushrooms and truffle sauce. The pasta was nice as well as the sauce. A fair portion as well. It was good. Not fall out of my chair good, but good. That was pretty much the consensus of everyone there. Everything was good, not great. I wouldn’t go out of my way to get back here, but I wouldn’t avoid it when I am back in the area.

Right near seaport is this fantastic jewel of an Italian restaurant! I have actually came her in the past, and thought this time around the food was delectable! It was on a double date, and my friend’s brother live on top of this building. It was a rainy evening and we decided we were hungry and starving after happy hour. We first ordered the shrimp ceviche and the bruschetta with pesto and tomatoes. The pesto bruschetta was my personal favorite. The ceviche was $ 16 and came in a small martini glass. Between the four of us, we probably each got like one small scallop each. For dinner, i ordered the mozarella pan pizza with fresh tomatoes and got the gnocchi pasta. While the other couple got the pappardelle al procini, which is hand pulled pasta with a delightful mushroom and black truffle oil. She gave me a bite of the black truffle oil pasta and i was in such awe i did not order that. It was a great italian restaurant by seaport, and im definitely coming back here for a plate of the black truffle oil pasta for myself!
