Small place and cash only. Got a cheesesteak here for only $ 5.95 which is crazy cheap for Chelsea(or pretty much anywhere in NY for that fact). Simple and good. Nothing that will blow you away but if you just want a cheap, good, fast lunch this is a great place to stop in. Guys behind the counter were super nice too.

In a word, bomb. In a neighborhood where everything is overpriced, this place reminds me of uptown breakfast spots I grew up going to on my way to school. Can’t beat a bacon, egg & cheese on a roll for $ 3.50. Three minutes and I’m out the door, or, if I prefer, I can sit at the old school counters and enjoy an omelette. Besides the price, the taste blows everything else out of the water. I don’t know why I ever went to city market for anything.

The best bacon, egg and cheese sandwich in the area. Hands down. Not expensive, not greasy. Just perfect. The eggs are fluffy and never burned, the bacon is always extra crispy(the way my man Daym Drops would like it), and the bread is perfect. Everyone in the store is friendly, too.

Awesome place. A disappearing kind of New York institution. The cooks(father and son) hang out with you and josh each other. Real cool, authentic place.

This place is a living and breathing New York City institution. Yes it is a small hole in the wall, and is barely wide enough to fit two people, but what they lack in space they make up in service, pricing, and quality. This place is the absolute best place in New York City for breakfast sandwiches. You can customize it anyway you want and their bacon is always extra crispy and delicious. Lunch is also solid here, with chicken salad BLT, chicken avocado wraps, and on occasion, they offer slow cooked brisket. This truly is a place where the workers and owners actually know your name. The owner has been in business for 30 years and it’s places like this that keep the neighborhood feel alive.

I’ve been to this establishment a few times and all i have to say is for the price; you really cant beat it in Manhattan. The food is good and quick. The only hitch is that it has little space for you to eat here. But that’s not really needed since I usually eat on the run. The staff is funny and always smiling. I see they have repeat customers and greet people by their names. It reminds me of the show Cheers So if you are near by. got no time and need a little bite, you should stop here. P. S. try the Chicken Avocado. its really good. Support the small shops

I am giving them a cheap four stars, probably deserve only three but the staff is friendly and fast. Diner food is up to par. They serve hot toast — who does that anymore! I stopped in for bacon and eggs, home fries, toast, coffee. Six dollars and change — that’s OK. My only real complaint is that they use plastic flatware — not all that easy to cut bacon with a plastic knife. Must be the tiniest diner that I have every been in — seats about eight — stools and counters — no tables.

A great place to stop by for a quick breakfast. I always ask for a cheese omelet without a bun, to which the guy behind the counter picks on me a little and then asks the chef for a «cheese omelet… Atkins!» Summed up: friendly staff, decent food, and super cheap prices.

After leaving a nifty daytime dance party at Slate, I was hankering for a sammich and found myself strutting past this hole in the wall in Flatiron. Usually anything besides a big box store is considered a «hole in the wall,» but this place defines that term more accurately than any other. It might be the size of an average studio apartment in New York City, but outfitted with a huge stove and a handful of delectable little vittles. If you’re a sandwich enthusiast, you should try the chicken salad BLT — it’s quite the flavorful little bugger. And ringing in at just about $ 5, it’s quite the steal. A friendly crew behind the counter makes this a cute spot for a midday snack.

This place is great. The staff are super friendly. The owners are incredible. You can get pretty much everything here. It’s super convenient as I work right next door. I always come here for breakfast. They make anything I want. The price is pretty decent for a deli shop in the city. I’ve been to more that are expensive and not good… Definitely recommend this place!

Here, here Robert H! This is an underrated Coffee Shop. That’s why the signage says. I don’t see A&A any where. This happens to be in my neighborhood, and on the way to work. They’re a no frills, fast, stop to get your morning Joe(they have iced — but they don’t make it, I think– both coffee does the job but it’s not smooth per se. Maybe slightly less acidic than cart coffee), and they have GREAT breakfast options. Bacon, egg and cheese on a toasted bagel– 3.25, Buttered toasted bagel, $ 2.00… hot coffee is a buck. You can also grab breakfast platters, which serves diner like plates for under $ 10– like a veggie omelet with potatoes and toast. Don’t expect too many healthy options though. These folks won’t carry fat free cream cheese(surprised they had a whole wheat bagel) — just an FYI. I haven’t gone to lunch, but my former boss mentioned that they do a BLT for $ 4. That is pretty damn cheap. Pix here show that they offer an array of wraps, and burgers. The service folk are always fast and nice. You can expect to get food within 5 – 10 minutes(esp in the morning– beware as lines can form. I think people are catching onto A&A!). Since there is virtually no space to sit inside(there are 2 – 3 counter chairs, though) — you can expect to take your food to go, and you can avoid stepping inside if you have claustrophobia and order outside the window. Cash only.

Can’t believe there aren’t any reviews for this place yet — thought I’d better show some love! A great little coffee shop with friendly people making cheap delicious food. All the basics(eggs on a roll!) as cheap as I’ve seen anywhere in the city, plus they have some other nice omelet and wrap options that many of the breakfast trucks don’t offer. They also happen to be the only place on the block that sells Vita Coco, so on hot summer days I’ll pop in for that. Good to know!
