I came here to purchase some cheap headphones for a project I was working on and they didn’t have any at all. The chica in the back of the store was on the store’s telephone the entire time. Couldn’t find other things I was looking for. This store is a dump.

I find what Karen S. from wherever the hell she is from(certainly not New York) absolutely disgusting. She is being such a nasty condescending prick. I have lived in this neighborhood for over 20 years! Where do you get off calling this neighborhood ghetto and trashy? You know what is ghetto and trashy? A person like you who thinks they are above everyone. If its an eyesore then don’t look or just get the hell out of the neighborhood. We don’t want you here. :) Anyway, I frequent this store often to stock up on basic household supplies. I love a clean home and lets be real, the cost of living in this area is far from affordable. This is where I can find things I can get in the supermarket at a fraction of the costs. The owners/employees are super friendly and helpful. Please do not pay attention to negative reviews. People are just snobbish, self-centered and think the world revolves around them.

The ghetto that is «Amster-damn» Ave. between 86th Street and 96th street just grew by one more junky store. Behold! A 99¢ store so small, as to be almost useless! You know, I really wouldn’t mind it so much if the junk didn’t spill out onto the sidewalk. Every day, more and more unattractive piles of cheap mops and plastic do-dads blot out the view from the sidewalk seating at the pizza restaurant next door. It’s simply an eyesore. Forget about the fact that they don’t have room to carry half of what you might actually go to a 99¢ store for, despite using the sidewalk as additional sales space. And having customers who allow their dogs to piss on the floor doesn’t help matters at all. I want to say that they can’t control their clientele, but messy attracts messy. And don’t get me wrong… I love a good 99¢ Store. But they tend to be larger and more comprehensively stocked. This one is just like the one further down ghettofab Amsterdam, only more sloppy on the outside. I know the sushi place didn’t do much business, but this kind of downgrade on the block doesn’t help the business that exist there at all. And here I was thinking things were looking up. *sigh*

This new corner store is located on Amsterdam Avenue and 92nd Street and it is replacing the Imi Sushi store. The store is not large at all but you may find a substantial amount of different types of products lines such as food and drink, personal hygiene products, small home tolls, office supplies, decorations and more. Although not all prices are 99 cents, the prices in this new store are very inexpensive and affordable. The lady in the register is very friendly and helpful. Welcome to neighborhood and Good Luck!
