So much potential, but I can only give this place one star. Here is why… Came here for Sunday brunch to celebrate a cousin’s birthday. The place was jammed packed. There was no arm room, the walkway was filled with people, customers were shifting behind the bar area, it was a mess. But the overcrowding isn’t what got me, it was actually the disgusting service. They were very understaffed, so it took about 30 – 60 minutes for us to order our drinks. One of the female bartenders was really snippy and rude to my party because we were shifting behind the bar area(of course unintentionally), and kept calling for her attention. She actually threatened to kick us out of the restaurant. To top it off, the bar ran out of sangria and a couple of other drinks on the menu. The owner needs to reevaluate who she/he hires, set a max occupancy, and prep employees for urgent/stressful situations. I can’t see myself going back.

Came to watch the NBA finals and it was a very disappointing experience. We sat at a table near the rear television and ordered appetizers. It took 25 mins for our appetizer! There were 4 tables for goodness sake! We had a bucket off beer which to 10mins to get and when I asked the bartender for limes(because the waitress was too busy and working alone) he told me «the lady in the front could help you» What? Huh? Why? Plus, Wouldn’t they have limes behind the bar anyways? W/e the waitress really tried to redeem herself and give us a better experience. But at the end she add gratuity(and never mentioned it to us) to the hand written check. Well with that much being said, I would just think twice about coming here.

I’m pretty sure my tacos was frozen in the freezer before I got them which made them taste bad, my girl friends soup was cold and was suppose to be hot, they had to take it down stairs and reheat it which made no sense that it was cold being that we went around 2pm and there were only a few other customers in there so they weren’t busy at all. I would never go here again, the food sucks, and so does the service.

I only give it 3 stars because of the drink specials. Good pitcher specials but they quit accepting credit or debit after 10pm. Impersonal staff.

I want to like this place but they make it extremely hard. The drinks are strong and reasonably priced. The hookah is decent, a little over priced($ 25). This place is not heated! I shouldn’t have to put my sweatshirt and jacket back on once I’m inside. Also it’s not well kept. Tables aren’t cleaned up right away, so you may end up sitting next to a dirty table with dirty plates and left over pitchers on them. Unfortunate because it could be a great neighborhood spot but they need to keep up with appearances.

The waitress knew next to nothing. They gave us a grimey looking fishbowl with paper floating in it and when we asked for a fresh one we were told the paper was Skittles. The waitress then proceeded to argue about the griminess of the fish bowl. Won’t be going back.

Well I go to this resteraunt a lot I know most of the staff there, but I’ve noticed that there price keeps going up and up and up, which is sad considering some times it takes a while to be serviced or to get another drink. The environment is cool nice fish tank in the back, but I think there other location called«Parila» is way better in my opinion… p. s this place is not good for kids due to Hookah being smoked in there a lot so just keep that in mind when bringing a baby or something?

Here for lunch for the first time and the place looks very nice and clean with a nice friendly décor, there’s also a full bar with tables as well, seems like a nice place to have a few drinks after work. I order the chicken Enchilada under the lunch special at $ 9.77. It came with black beans, white rice and some salad all in one tray. The food was good but not great. The black beans was missing something and tasted bland, the Enchilada was not put together well in the tray a bit sloppy.

I heard from a few people this place served delicious margaritas and frozen drinks… but no, they don’t. In fact these drinks were so grossly sweet I feared that waking up with diabetes and a fierce hangover was in my forecast. I didn’t even end up finishing my drink, it was that bad. The food was OKAY, a bit greasy but edible. The service was a bit off. There were two servers working our table for some reason. The girl was nice and the guy was a bit rude… a weird game of good cop/bad cop bar and grill style.

Pros –The food is pretty good, the staff is not bad. This place it’s a good place to eat a nice dinner before 8pm. CONS– on the weekends after 8pm stay away, the element changes into a haven for thugs and the less desirable.

This bar is conveniently located right outside of the 1 train– you can’t miss it. I met up with a friend for happy hour here on a Friday after work. The bar had a good amount of people but we were able to find seats still. The happy hour special is great! Any frozen drink(piña colada, strawberry daiquiri, margarita) for $ 10 and then you get the next one free. This comes out to $ 5 a drink. We had the piña coladas, which were pretty great tasting. The bartender was very friendly and attentive, asking if we wanted another drink as soon as we finished our first. I ordered the guacamole to eat. They make it in front of you– wasn’t expecting that! This guy rolled up with a cart that had avocados, tomatoes, onions, etc. and he started scooping out the avocado right there. I really liked this because fresh guac is always the best tasting. The portion was huge and could definitely be shared among 2 – 3 people. The chips weren’t that good though. They were kind of flakey and had a greasy feel to them. Overall this bar is worth checking out for a happy hour. It is casual; you can wear whatever and don’t need to dress up. Also– right now they are offering 20% off for students, which my friend and I didn’t see til we were on our way out(so bring your student ID if you have one).

Pros: — Sweet Plantains were amazing — Bartenders were friendly and attentive Cons: — Took 50 minutes to get a pizza. I’m pretty sure they didn’t start preparing it until the 2nd time I asked about it. — Credit card machine was down — Advertised Happy Hour drinks on sidewalk chalkboard during non-happy hours

3.5 stars. This is a type of place that I wish I could 3.5 star it, bc thats exactly what it is. It wasn’t an incredible/memorable 4 stars but it wasn’t a terrible 3 stars experience either. Positive aspects abt this place is the service, drinks and the variety of options. Negative aspects to consider is the quality of the food. I wasn’t incredibly impressed with the food but I wasn’t extremely disappointed either. I’m glad I came here with a groupon purchase bc I was able to try their sangria pitcher, which was yum! Their shrimp and sausage tasted amazing(better than the actual entrée) and the havana sandwich was ok. It just lacked some spice to it. The things that caught my attention and could possibly make me consider coming back is their create your own burger option and the fact that there is hookah available! This place has potential… but def needs some tweaking.

Food was good. Service was good. Fishbowl drink was strong. DJ was cool. The only thing was that the crowd became VERY young after a certain time on Saturday night. Like if you just turned 21YESTERDAY then all of your high school graduating class is at 137. So young it was like a prom after party. Its a cradle robber’s wet dream. Ride the subway or bus around 3pm on weekdays when school gets out and decide if these are the people you really want to mingle with on a Saturday night. My friend and I have nicknamed 137, The Children’s Place.

Sat down, waited for about 8 minutes to be approached. A waitress came over & I told her we had a Groupon. The waitress was confused, that’s the best way to describe it. I asked her about the flavors of the fish bowls & what they had in them bc the menu provided no type of description and she looked at me like I had just insulted her. She then muddled out some ingredients that she thought were in the drinks, no idea. We move on to order the apps & our main course bc we had to order everything together she said, whatever. 17 minutes passed since ordering, nobody had brought us water, there’s no drink, here comes the appetizer. It looked great, we got the humita. We also did not have plates or a spoon to eat with(our waitress also went MIA) so we dug in with forks… tacky…TACKY! So, waitress comes over… informs us there is no blue curaçao & they are running to the store to get some, would we like to wait a few minutes or order another kind of fishbowl? I said«a few minutes, no problem» since we had been waiting well over a half hour for this fishbowl at the point. Entrees came & they were great. We both got pizza. The drink came mid entrée & it was pretty good. I finally had to request a water, which got refilled only after another request. I have NEVER had to hawk eye my waitress to get the simplest items that are generally brought out with a meal. I mean this service was far worse than bad, it was despicable. Bill comes, it’s cash only, gah. We go to the ATM. I couldn’t even find the waitress to pay… spot her sitting at the bar just hanging out. At this point we’re standing up waiting for her to come take the bill, unbelievable. I have NEVER wanted to not tip a waiter/waitress but this experience had me very very close. Most despicable service I have ever had by far.

Have been here several times because of the convenience when I’m in the neighborhood, but I am really going to stop spending my money here. Fried calamari for takeout $ 10.82-super cheap portions and completely unappealing CASHONLY– A week ago they had signs up for«cash only no credit cards» they still have the same signs and even added an ATM – NEWSFLASH: yes, it’s pricy for businesses to accept credit cards, but cash only… let’s get real Employees are very slow when taking orders and the person handing me the food today didn’t smile or thank me for my business Want Spanish food? Go or order from Caridad which is a few blocks away… better quality and prices!

Subpar food and crappy service. I came here with a friend who lives and the areas, so this is his local spot. We were greeted by the manager(I think — definitely someone in charge). We were seated right away, then everything went down hill. We sat for a while and no one even came over to the table. Then when we final had a server take the order, they complete forgot to bring our drinks. My friend didn’t eat any of his food. He said it was good, but he wasn’t hungry. The menu is laden with meat fried and fatty. There was a pasta option. I stuck with water, but the whole vibe of this place was off. My friend paid a $ 13 check with a $ 20 and the server never brought back the change. She actually completely disappeared.

This place is a diamond in the rough. My husband and I met a friend here for drinks on a Friday evening. Our friend told us that they have happy hour everyday from 12 – 7 so we were quite intrigued by that alone — so off we went. They have a very limited happy hour menu which consisted of mojitos, pina coladas and few other drinks. I started with a piña colada. It was good but very creamy as it’s made with condensed milk and I’m not used to that. While it was very refreshing, it didn’t have the kick I was looking for so I ordered a pitcher of Sangria — which was only $ 15($ 5 a glass). The sangria was VERY good with a nice little kick to it — I finished off the entire pitcher! My husband and friend had their usual Long Island Ice Teas and they said they were pretty good. I was starving so our friend suggested that we try the build a burger instead of the standard burger on their menu. If for nothing else I will definitely go back to have another burger. As stated it’s build your own so you pick your selections and they have lots to choose from. The star of the show(in my opinion) was the garlic mayo that put a little extra something something on your burger. It was really good! As we were finishing our meal and drinks a band started playing but we didn’t stay too long to listen to them. The waitress was very friendly and attentive — the service was great and it didn’t take too long to get our food and drinks. I like this spot to go and chill and would definitely like to return to have another go at the burger with garlic mayo!
