Finally accepted the fact that my eyes are trash and I need better glasses than the readers I’ve been using. Went here today and got exam done $ 100 for the exam without insurance. Not bad. Due to my script I couldn’t do the 2 for 99 special but still got 2 pair for 298 with everything I needed. They were all friendly and easy to work with. I’ll keep using them. Thanks For Eyes Update: Had a problem with my glasses. The prescription was not quite right. I went back to them and explained the situation. He retested me and adjusted the script. I had my fixed glasses in a week. All good now and no additional cost. Thanks guys :-)

Shopping for glasses is never an easy task for me… I am very nearsighted, I don’t wear contacts and I must constantly switch between my current glasses and the dozens of frames I try on. So I have to give high ranks to this For Eyes store for really spot on customer service from all and from staffer Lydia in particular. She exhibited nothing but professional behavior towards me and yet was personable and friendly at the same time. I had so many questions, real tight budget restraints, and a sinus headache! Lydia stayed with me and was so patient and respectful, plus, she gave great input not just about how frames looked or didn’t look, but about the reasons why one was more suited for my strong prescription and progressive lenses than another. In the end I got two pairs and saved a significant chunk of change.(Poor kid, I asked her for every possible savings configuration including Groupon Deals). Here is another customer service test they passed with flying colors after the sale was made… I was reading and had taken my glasses off and put them beside me… I leaned the wrong way and snapped off one of the arms… just two weeks after purchase. I called the store and they said they would swap the lens into a replacement frame if it was in stock. I stopped in the next morning and they did just that… with a smile. I have had such contrary experiences lately with other retail establishments… so when I get such excellent service before they were even sure I was going to buy from them… well a good review is in order. Keep up the good work… and I’ll be in for my refill of eye glass cleaner in the future.(If you buy a little bottle of eye glass cleaner spray they give free refills) Meanwhile, I am saving for my new sunglasses.

After going to the big box store and being treated rudely as my prescription had expired. I was referred to For Eyes by a co worker. I was given a eye exam on the same day and purchased two pairs of progressive eye glasses. I was treated professionally by Dr. Moddero and the staff. I was told the new glasses would be ready in a week. Well three days latter I received a call and low and behold they came quicker. I could not be happier with the service. I would recommend to others in a Texas Heartbeat.

Excellent service and great prices. Dr Moddero was very attentive and answered all of my questions, the eye exam was a breeze and I obtained contact lens trial for free. I purchased three glasses for 340, one was a sunglasses and the other two had no scratch lens and no glare protection, otherwise I would of received four pairs with out all of the extra features. Love great service and price.

I have excellent service and results from Dr. Moddero. It’s worth the drive from the south shore to see him. I have had a lot of problems with my eyes went to all sorts of specialists that could not help me but Dr. Modderno did with no problems at all. I am so thankful to have him as my doctor. He is very kind, nice, and helpful. Deborah that works Mondays and Wednesdays is fantastic. She always picks out great glasses for me and works within my budget. If I break them she fixes them. She is wonderful and works at the Weymouth store the rest of the week. Over the years most of the people that have worked there have been great. I can only think of one person that wasn’t and they where not there long. If you are like me and loose glasses all the time, they often have 2 pairs for 99 how can you beat that. Then I love love love transitions the last ones I had for over 5 years but now lost forever Deb picked them out. I wish they still had that style I would get them and I recently got designer sunglasses they where so reasonable. I could not believe it. They also have deals on line like in Aug they had a deal if you are a teacher get half off etc so check for deals. All their glasses are reasonably priced. I do wish they had some more designer glasses and if you can only get one pair get some transitions they are worth the price and have Deb help you pick out some frames. Dr. Modderno was extraordinarily professional and thorough. He helped me find a far more comfortable and precise pair of contacts than what if been using. On follow up visits he was ready and waiting for me and had a clear goal of what he wanted to accomplish each time and overall. The staff was also courteous and helpful. Planning on going back in next year for exam, though I currently live about 30 miles away.

I got a bad vibe the minute I walked into this place. Saleswoman seemed slow to ask if I needed help then quick to send me off when I couldn’t produce a prescription. Apparently the glasses I was wearing on my face weren’t enough. They don’t «neutralize» glasses at this location. After shoe-horning myself into an eye exam at my regular optometrist, I returned to For Eyes and ordered two pairs of glasses from what I consider the clearance rack. They really push that 2 for 99 crap but don’t offer much to choose from. The third visit was to pick up my cheapo backup glasses and it was the worst visit. The associate that retrieved my purchase seemed pissed he was forced to work for two minutes. Then pissed my 3 year old played with a store mirror for 60 seconds. I’ll never go back to that location or probably any For Eyes location.

Bad experiences at this location– Staff is rude and Dr. gave me weaker prescription when I told him the one I had was fine. After much aggravation I finally got the correct prescription. The staff treat you like you should be grateful that they’re waiting on you.

i reviewed this place after a bad experience i had at the store and the customer serivce dept got in touch with me after seeing it and resolved the problem. my advice would be contact customer service from the start if you have purchased anything from there and have a problem, the staff is less then helpful at this location.
