Great new brewery in Norwood with free tastings, corn hole, and giant Jenga. There is a nice selection of t-shirts and glasses for sale. The beer is very good, especially if you are a fan of ipas and stouts. I prefer wheat beers, but I really liked the Jetty dry hopped sour ale. My husband and I bought a 4 pack to take home and it was gone quickly.

I am not sure how I heard about these guys. While I did not have much knowledge of Castle Island beer I do realize there is no downside to free beer and with that I set off for a beer tasting at their brewery. The Castle Island Brewery is conveniently located right off Providence Highway in Norwood and has ample parking. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and will provide you with a free tasting of their beer. I was able to try 8 of their beers. I particularly enjoyed the«Keeper» and«Jetty». 4 packs of 16oz cans run $ 11 to $ 13 dollars a pack. CIB does not have growlers/growler refills but does sell beer glasses, shirts, and accessories. CIB beer is hoppy tasting; the intended market for their beer is not the Budweiser crowd so I would only recommend going to the Castle Island Brewery if you are a fan of craft beer. Before going to the Castle Island Brewery, I would advise of checking their website for the days and times of their tours and tastings.

I’ve tried 4 kinds of this beer, and it’s superior to most microbrews. Highly recommend!

Headed to Castle Island after an underwhelming experience at Trillium. They gave us four 5-ounce tasters. They also have glassware and shirts for sale. $ 15 for a long sleeved and $ 25 for a hoodie. $ 5 for a pint glass. The tasting area is in a corner of the brewing area. There are a few keg tables and stools, and a corn hole set. We really enjoyed the candlepin beer, and the other three were good as well. They plan to open a full taproom later this year

What’s not to love? The beer is INCREDIBLE! My fav is Hearthside… featuring a wonderful and surprising infusion of coffee. The place is dog friendly and they are opening a tap room very soon. Totally impressed. 5 stars!

I was pretty excited when Trillium opened up in Canton. Saved me the hassle of driving into Boston for great beer. And now: With Castle Island opening, I have another TOPTIER brewer even closer to me. I have made three visits to Castle Island in last month and tried five of their beers. There has typically been a small line but they knock it out quickly. The vibe is like most places like this: friendly, low key, hip and fun going in. There’s even cornhole set up if you want to toss some bags while you buy your beer. The employees are super friendly, knowledgeable and happy to answer any and all of your questions. Right now, there are no growlers– just cans. Four packs are about $ 12 or so for 16 oz cans. I am a particular fan of the ‘Causeway’ DIPA but the porter, stout and others I have tried are all delicious and fresh. Two big thumbs up for Castle Island.

I don’t do a lot of the whole review thing, but here goes… Saturday we had a great chili, football, and beer afternoon/evening and we were serving up Castle Island Brewing Company beer. All the beers were new to everybody(well I did have a Hearthside Friday evening), so we started some notes to the brewer. Here they are: — Hearthside with a hit of Karma coffee is like Brady connecting with Gronk at room temperature. — Candlepin is very drinkable and balanced plus I love the note of fruit — Keeper is an IPA lovers«hopsy-dream» — Causeway — Very clean initial notes, hoppy taste develops gradually. The continual fresh taste does not overwhelm. A great balanced beer I could drink all day — summer or winter. — Hearthside best balanced beer ever — Your double IPA takes the cake. — All the CIB’s beers are great, but I love the Keeper and the TBD

Fantastic beer! From the first sip of their free tasting, we were impressed. My brother who doesn’t like hoppy beers even liked it. Candlepin(hoppy session), they called it. They had 4 beers for us to sample and they are generous pours(Keeper, an American IPA, TBD, a hoppy American stout and Hearthside, winter porter). We loved all of them. Great brewery and I can imagine its going to be better. We were at another brewing nearby before this and left unimpressed. So this was a very much delicious welcome. I wish I lived closed because I would be here all the time. Met the brewer who is really cool and his dad. Staff super friendly. And dog and kid friendly! Next time, I am bringing my dog!

Being a beer geek when my buddy said hey lets go to visit the new brewery, of course I was down for it. Beers are subjective to the taster since we all like different things. However they have a style for everyone. They have ipa, dipa, session, and stouts. A flavor for everyone. I enjoyed tbd which is a stout. Loads of Flavor. Right now they are just selling cans in a four pack but that may change as they grow. The tasting is free and the pours generous. You will find something you like for sure. My friend bought one four pack of each kind for us all to share. Judging by the crowd of happy customers in there, this place is going to get big as soon as more people realize it’s there. The owner was there and we had a chance to talk with him. He’s a cool dude, and so is his staff. Everyone is really excited about the brews and knowledgable too. They are doing some hiring as I imagine the business is growing fast. If your a beer lover you need to go visit this hot new place before it gets too big and it’s tough to get in ;)

Great brewery with plenty of parking. They are kid and dog friendly, so you can bring them into the brewery. They offer free samples and they sell there beers in cans. They also sell shirts, sweatshirts, and glasses. They are trying to expand there hours, so check there schedule and give them a try!
