The place reeks of smoky grease, the staff was friendly but looked like they had been doing transmission work in the back lot and didn’t bother to change or wash up, rock music blared so loudly that I had to shout my order and they didn’t get it right. Water from the soda machine had puddled everywhere and someone only bothered to throw rags to sop it up. Torn bags of potatoes were stacked on the dining area floor, and everything I touched in the dining area felt greasy. This might have been forgiven, but the limp soggy fries were dripping in grease and covered with enough salt to melt an icy sidewalk; my cherry coke tasted of chemicals; and the bacon burger was smallish [for the price], dry and tasteless.

The Norwich 5 guys is a mess. The food was not to standard, the place is dirty. I was there on Friday evening and it was empty. I know why. The floors are greasy. There was a huge puddle of water infront if the soda fountains that you had to walk through. No one was even attempting to clean it up. I’ve been to 5 guys in Farmington, and Middletown, they are great. This one is obviously poorly managed.

All the burgers are cooked well done which just ruins it for me though my BFF raves about them. The fries are somewhere between McDonalds grade and what you would expect to get in a regular restaurant. Everything is fresh and the employees are very nice but overall I really didn’t like it because I prefer my burgers medium rare and my fries a little thicker. Prices are very reasonable.

Always great. Yeah fries are salty but I love that. Someone said burgers are 7 $+ but in fact they start at 4.79 $. I’ve never had a bad meal here. If you comlain that it costs 10 $ for a burger and fries, go to mcdonalds and get a Big Mac or quarter pounder«value meal» and it will be almost the same price. At least this is REAL food made fresh, not made years a head of time and freeze dried. —— Now after years of going here, and twice in the last three days(thanks to my apartment building catching on fire and having to move everything in three days). I just have to say that this place is always consistently great.

This is my least favorite 5 Guys location of any I’ve visited, based on 5 – 7 visits. Yesterday was the worst(and final). There was a new employee who quite clearly had hijacked the proceedings, keeping other employees busy discussing his favorite video games and his preferred company to keep outside of work. When we showed up at the register, we waited a good 2 – 3 minutes with the cashier having her back to us, talking to this person, completely unaware we were there. After finally ordering, seeing people ordering after us receiving their food while we still had not, I had to go ask for our order, which had been sitting for a while without ever having been called. I was given the wrong burger(and, worse, upcharged for it, but shame on me for not having looked at my ticket, given what I was observing), and the fries were tepid, salted beyond edibility, and far less than 5 Guys offers as a standard serving(given how bad they were on this visit, we weren’t missing anything, though), but I had a very hungry child with me who had waited a long time to eat something, anything, so I just took what we were given, we ate what we could and we left. Needless to say, we’ll never return to this location.

Five Guy’s is usually known for their consistency, in this case I was extremely disappointed. I ordered a burger and fries. I get a burger and a half empty cup of soggy fries, no fries in the bag. I’m paying $ 3.79 for fries I want a decent amount. I ask for more fries. They say they will make a new batch. I get a bag with slightly more fries but they are just as soggy salty and old as ever! Had to throw them away. Burger was okay.

Everything about my first visit to Five Guys in Norwich was very underwhelming, considering all the pressure I’ve been getting from friends to go there. They apparently don’t season their patties(even McDonald’s does that) or their grilled mushrooms. They forgot the steak sauce, which I didn’t realize until I got where I was going, so it was too late to ask for it to be put on. So, my «little cheeseburger» with mushrooms but no steak sauce had zero flavor. Just bland beef and cheese and slimy mushrooms. I didn’t care for the cajun fries. There was nothing cajun about the seasoning. Just pepper and salt and pepper and more salt was all I could taste. I’m not sure what gave them the orange color, but I couldn’t taste it. Zero kick. Their little quirk of packing your to-go meal and then dumping another pile of fries into the bag was cute, but there was grease and fry seasoning EVERYWHERE. Then they put the napkins on top of the grease. Great. How am I supposed to clean up with greasy napkins? Seriously, I was trying to have a quick lunch in the parking garage at work before my shift started. When I realized that grease was all over the inside of the bag and soaking through onto the seat of my car, and grease and fry seasoning was all over the burger wrapper, I dug through the napkins to find one that would make a suitable bib, but they were all greasy! I had to use some McDonalds napkins that I had stashed in the car, THANKGOD. Please stop this«greasy fries all over everything» tactic. It doesn’t help. I honestly don’t understand what everyone loves about this place. Wendy’s has far better burgers at a better price, without covering you and your clothes and the inside of your car with grease.

Standard Five Guys operation. Love the food, usually get everything to-go. The restaurant itself is always loud.

The Cajun fries is awesome! most of the time i just go there and order the fries… and buy burger in other places. I didn’t mean their burger are not good or what, is just i prefer burger kings’s burger plus Five guys fries! and they are next to each other.

They have some really good potato tasting fries, no doubt about that. They are thin style and soft/limp.The portions are about 2/3rds smaller than they used to be. The burger has two patties. Both overcooked, unless you like them brown all the way through and dry. I’ve been to four different 5 Guys and its always the same. Usually that’s a good thing, not for me. In just don’t get the appeal. 9Aug14 Dear Owner, I submitted on line as requested. Left my contact email as well.

A little pricey at ~$ 7/burger. The cajun fries were tasty. The burger was good in a standard sort of way, but they aren’t quite a 4-star place for me due to the lack of options on the menu. If I just want a basic hamburger, that’s pretty easy to make at home. Maybe I’m spoiled from living so close to Goldburgers!

Standard five guys. The service was very good and the food was what I expected. They also have the new coke machines do you can get just about whatever coke flavor you can imagine.
