I have been a customer here for five years and overall have had a terrific experience. The instructors are well trained and have the unique ability to customize a class to each individual participant. This is not a large facility with huge overhead(read: there is no receptionist to answer calls) so in reference to the other reviews, it is best to stop by the Norwell studio to get more information. The value of Back & Body comes from the care given to their clients, whom they get to know personally. I am a fan of Pilates because of this team. It has been my observation that people who take a class stick around for a long time. That wouldn’t happen unless they were receiving quality care and instruction.

Approximately 6 months ago, I had purchased several discounted sessions through Rue La La; including multiple personal and group sessions. Along with other reviewers, I too attempted to contact the studio a numerous amount of times using all 3 methods provided by the studio themselves. I have yet to hear anything, including an apology for the poor management pertaining to client relations. It is absolutely perplexing as to why an owner or manager would entirely disregard such a miniscule and necessary task in business. After several frustrating weeks of failed receipt, I contacted Rue La La in hopes of having a more positive experience assisting in reconciling the existing issues. To my surprise, the representative I spoke with was not only understanding of my irritation but verbalized disappointment and regret in Rue La La’s involvement in the negative experience. The representative immediately spoke with her manager then assured me it would be further examined, all money would be returned to my credit card and $ 25 would be issued to my account in attempt to make up for the aggravation and keep my business. If it weren’t for Rue La La, I would be out a few hundred dollars because of Back & Body Pilates Studio! I find that unacceptable.

I had tried to contact this studio because I was interested in taking classes there about a year ago, and all of my emails and messages via their website went unanswered… until I finally let my frustrations fly in a final email to them. Funny coincidence that it was allegedly the only email that made it through their spam filter? The owner apologized for not getting the dozen or so emails I’d sent over the previous year, but then basically refused to listen to what I wanted and I gave up on trying to take classes anywhere that becoming a customer was so incredibly difficult. Fast forward to a few months ago and there’s a Gilt City promotion going on for them. Well, the sucker for deals and second chances that I am, I bought it. Maybe they really didn’t know that their website contact form didn’t work and their email was apparently blocking everything? I figured it had to be fixed by now… but nope. No matter how many times I fill out the web form, or send them emails(from both work and personal email addresses), and even calling/leaving a voicemail, I still get no response. :-( Very disappointing. I’ve finally emailed giltcity asking if they will give me a refund. So I have no idea if they’re any good at Pilates or not… because apparently Back and Body doesn’t want customers. Don’t waste your time trying to contact them.

I too bought buywithme coupons and cannot get anyone to answer the phone. I’ve tried both Monday and Tuesday and left messages as well. Will update if I get through. cannot find a website to email them though :( UPDATE The owner contacted me via email when i finally found their website. she said they were inundated with appts. and to contact them via email so they could keep a paper trail
