Tacos Chihuahua

I’m thoroughly surprised how good my husband’s flauta plate was. We were here a bit early for the movie (Norwalk Regency 8) and the husband was very hungry. This place was small, not air conditioned, but the owners were polite and QUICK. I couldn’t believe how quickly we got our food. Such a delight to see a family business thriving like this. We will be back for sure!

Been coming here since 2002. I always order the carne asada nachos. I’ve tried carne asada nachos from all over and these here are by far hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. The people there are pretty nice. The area is pretty small so I would recommend to eat on non weekend or high traffic times lunch dinner etc. but definitely worth a try if you are a nachos person.

My family is from Chihuahua, so when I heard of this place, I got pretty damn excited. I miss the food from my mom’s home state so much! Prices are good. Jaimaca is not terribly sweet. They sell beer. The food is okay. I got my son the quesadilla/​taco with rice and beans combo. He seemed thrilled and ate it all up. The beans were well made (not canned beans!) and the rice, a little salty, but my palette is fairly sensitive to salt, so I’ll give it that. I ordered 4 tacos. 2 de cabeza, y 2 de al pastor. Not impressed at all. Portion was good. Nice decent sized tacos. But the meat did not have that authenticity you anticipate with a name like «Tacos Chihuahua». At the risk of losing credibility, the meat wasn’t «greasy» enough, so the flavor was lost somewhere. Won’t rule the place out though, there’s a theater there I frequent and definitely see myself enjoying something else here with a beer before a movie. But they should change their name. I expect more with a name like that.
The Salsa bar gets major kudos, though. Definitely like having the freedom of a salsa bar.

I ate at Tacos Chuhuahua yesterday for dinner with my boyfriend. I had the vegetarian burrito and he had the Huevos ranchero Plate. Both meals were filling and wonderful.
During this visit, I decided that we needed to sample all of the salsas — They were indeed tasty and range from mild to hot. All of them have their merits and all were enjoyable with the free tortilla chips and with the meal.
In previous weeks, I have sampled the cheese enchilada plate which was great, and the fish tacos which were good and my boyfriend had the Chilli Relenos Plate and enjoyed it.
I once again gladly recommend this place which provides good food at a fair price.

I have used their taco catering service 4 times. All my guest love the tacos and always ask for their card. Well priced, always on time, and great service. They usually bring everything: chips, salsa and toppings, beans, rice, plates Utensils, and even a big jug of horchata. If you want to impress your guest with quality tacos hire them! I highly recommend the Al PASTOR!

This place is the real deal. My new favorite Taco place in the Santa Fe Springs area. I now go here at least once a week. The highlight is the selection of salsa’s at the salsa bar. Each one seems specially handcrafted with a unique taste. Mind you that this is a kinda ‘hole in the wall’ place with 6 – 7 tables so If you are looking for something fancy this isn’t the place for you — just get ‘take out’.
There is lots of stuff on the menu but I just can’t move away from the 3 taco plate (chicken, carnitas & carne Asada)

Yet I don’t see myself making the drive to Tacos Chihuahua often. I just stopped by because I was convinced they would be great after trying their catering service about two years ago. I know there’s a large gap of time in between, and lots can happen from then to now. Nonetheless, I was in the mood for tacos and I found myself in the area so I figured why not.
I had a taco of each of the following meats: carne asada, pollo, al pastor, and chorizo. While my girlfriend had the cheese enchiladas plate. Everything tasted well but I wasn’t that impressed with the al pastor and chorizo tacos. Those particular meats are the ones I look forward to most whenever hitting up a taco spot, but I was disappointed on this occasion. Especially given that I remember trying the al pastor that one time they catered an event, and that’s what I was looking forward to most.
Overall, decent tasting Mexican food and fairly inexpensive. Family owned it seems, so they make great efforts to accommodate with friendly service. Yup, they’ve got a salsa bar and that’s a big plus. Can’t be a taco shop without having the options to freely choose how much salsa and other condiments you want –Oh and cebollitas doradas!

Tacos Chuhuahua is the best taco man in the united states, the flavors are mouth watering delicious, the salsas are so tasting, and they wore gloves and everything was so clean ,
Our office had a luncheon for 50 people and the Taco man was on time. Everything was so professional and the meats so tasting we had Carne asada and Carnitas and Chicken, and chile verde quesadillas,
Delish!!! try them out THE BEST PEOPLE THE BEST!

My husband and me were craving flautas we got to our favorite place in Hawaiian Gardens and it was close. That was a 1 so we decided to find another place. Looking in Unilocal we found this place TACOS CHIHUAHUA with a 4 star’s so we decided to drive 2 Miles we thought it was supost to be good my husband order ck flautas with rice and beans it comes with lettuce crean and tomato guacamole they were supost to have ck but harley some inside my husband though the flautas were to greasy I order the same thing but with only 2 flautas and 1 extra taco of lengua it was ok harley and flavor on the meat. I think is to over price for the food and service that they provide for the same price we could eat at a better place but next time we know.

No taste on the food. Plain and lots of fat on the meat. Will not come here ever again.

I used them to cater my daughters birthday party! The food was delicious and the servers were polite and punctual. I recommend and I will use them again!

AMAZING!!! They catered my daughters first birthday party this weekend. People are STILL talking about the food! The Horchata was OUTSTANDING! Our server was truly professional and accommodating. They even called 2 days ahead to confirm and really worked with me on all of my changes. We would give more stars if we could. Thanks so much for a great experience!

Tacos were average! Nothing to rave about. My first time here and it will be my last. Meat was not seasoned everything was a little bland.

Moses and his mom were early and curteous and sweet as ever. The food was delicious, the set up was great, and the leftovers are being enjoyed today. We called a few other places and working with Damien and Eduardo made for a fantastic experience. Would definitelty recommend and use again.
By the way, friend and family raved about the quesadillas with chili Verde and carnitas although I missed out. The carnitas tacos with the smoky salsa were the right amount of flavor and spice.

We used tacos Chihuahua for a holiday/​birthday party back in December and I couldn’t have been happier. The food was plentiful and delicious and our guests really enjoyed it. Roberto (I believe was his name) was polite, friendly and attentive.
They arrived early, set up everything and served up deliciousness all evening. I will definitely contact them again next time I’m having a party. Pricing was great, beating most other quotes.

Tacos Chihuahua catered my 30^th birthday party. They were beyond phenomenal! The food was fantastic… Everybody ranted and raved about it… And they were so considerate the entire time, even when people arrived late. We love you!

I used to love coming to this place. So we were in the area and stopped for what we thought was going to be the awesome food we love. I got a vegetarian burrito, it had lettuce and sour cream, nothing else? Beans and rice were on the side. I thought maybe the cook forgot to put the beans and rice inside. No issue. My wife ordered a steak plate. Both of us were surprised to find the food was not what we remembered.
The steak was salty, not at all how it used to be, just grilled to perfection. Oh my, the best asada outside of TJ. The beans seemed watery, I can not explain why. The rice had to much tomatoes. Although, the rice was very good. Do not get me wrong, just seemed different then what we have gotten in the past.
I do have to say the place was spotless, clean clean clean. Really nice touch.
Well, honestly we may give them another try. We really loved this place before. Hope for the best. The customer service is top notch, fast to get orders out of the kitchen. Well, you try them and prove me wrong with your post. Maybe, I had a bad day.
Next time, I am going with the Asada mojado, not sure if I spelled that right, my go to favorite. Stick with what I know.
Three stars, one for the food, two for the clean store and awesome cashiers. Hope it is five next time around.

This review is for the catering dept. The food was good and the staff they sent to my home went above and beyond what I expected. The two gentlemen were so nice and they even helped me clean up broken glass when a vase knocked over and broke. I mean, who does that? Sooo nice! We catered food for 50 and ordered horchata. We had carne asada, chicken, and al pastor. Wow, the al pastor was amazing! The best part? The price. Only $ 7 per person whereas most places are $ 8.50 to $ 14. I called around and checked prices and reviews. I would recommend this taco catering over and over again!!!

Good food. Staff are friendly. Come here from time to time, not that fancy but it is still good.

This place was hard to find as the map on Unilocal provided the wrong directions but eventually found it and worth the search!
Each taco I ordered was packed with flavor and had no need to add extra salsa, that’s a good thing :)
