Laughable… that’s all I have to say…

I had a good experience at the copy center. The staff was helpful and friendly both on the phone and in person. They took care of my scanning quickly and I was done in minutes. No problems here.

It’s a Staples, and they usually have what you need in here. I can usually find my printers ink supplies, and of course the kids school supplies.

One star is being kind. I bought a $ 50 fountain pen on sale at $ 20. I needed to return it, unfortunately I lost the receipt. Expecting store credit for the current $ 20 sale price I was told by the manager that he could only give me $ 5.32 for the pen because somewhere in the country someone had once sold it for that price. Naturally, he couldn’t tell me where or when, I just had to take his word for it. Seems a silly position for a corporation to take; selling $ 50 pens for $ 5.32 but dissatisfying a customer over $ 15. It does help explain their stock price though.

NOTE: The main store is just fine. And like Sandra B., I appreciate the quiet, clean atmosphere. Zero problems there.
HOWEVER. I’ve gone to this location twice in the past year to use their copy center, both times out of pure necessity. I use many retail copy locations in my line of work and while it’s often a frustrating/​costly experience, this Staples takes the cake.
Is it too much to expect their copy staff to (a) know how to use the printers/​copiers on-​site (b) have basic computer skills and © not visibly hate their jobs? How can I meet two different staff teams six-​months apart that share these same deficiencies?
I don’t understand how these places get a pass. Go ahead and gouge me on price per print, but unless you’re at a massive copy center (some Fex Ex/Kinko’s locations are fantastic), it’s all shades of the same terrible experience. Is it an employee issue? Training issue? Store management issue? All three? /​shrug.
They need to change their staffing model to staff one technical/​maintenance person and one register/​special projects person per shift. Every standard color/​BW printer should be self service (both USB and PC terminals). And every staffer should have some level of access to office productivity software (being forced to convert everything to PDF creates issues with final rendering, particularly in how shadows are treated).
There are better optoins in the Norwalk/​Wilton area.

waiting… waiting… still waiting. the guy helping us is super nice but super slooooooow. and after all that waiting, they didn’t have the chair we picked out! ugh
