I’ve been here twice since moving to Norwalk. The service was great. The waitstaff is very friendly and attentive. Obviously I had to try the fish and chips first and it did not disappoint! I was very pleased. Not super greasy and heavy like some fish n chip dishes can be. The only issue I had was that we were seated next to an all ladies 50th birthday party. Good grief, they were loud and the more they drank, the louder they became, but I’m not going to take away from my rating because it’s not the fault of the Pub. Maybe next time I’ll just have to ask to move. The next time I went for lunch. It was much quieter and we sat in a cozy spot by the fire. I got a simple turkey club and it was delicious! They also have this turnip carrot mash that’s killer! I’m actually craving it now that I’ve mentioned it. Ha! This will definitely be a regular spot for my husband and I!

I’m a Guinness drinker, and if you drink Guinness you know it can be hit and miss from pub to pub. O’Neils delivers 5 stars just for the Guinness alone. Clean, fresh and delicious. Their Fish n Chips are very good, the fish is nice and fresh, not frozen. Friendly atmosphere that is very inviting. Looking forward to trying more dishes in the future.

Service was ok however bartender not super attentive. We still left over a 30% tip which was not even acknowledged by the bartender. Being in the service industry this is not acceptable. A simple thank you would have sufficed!

Absolutely great. The three employees I came in contact with were extremely friendly. I think one of them was the manager. Food was excellent as well. Lamb chops were delicious. Keep up the great work.

We came here by chance, we live in Pa. The atmosphere was relaxing and casual. The service was pretty good. The food was delicious. We had potato skins as an appetizer. You could tell they were fresh. They were hot, crisp and cheesey! For dinner I had the Fireside Calamari Salad. It was crisp and spicy. The whole family had a great time!

When I lived in CT, I visited O’Neill’s quite often for the Tuesday night trivia. The bar is quite large– ample seating, lots of staff, quick service. There’s a large food menu, though I generally only had sliders. The pulled pork sandwiches are my favourite! I also had some great Guinness at O’Neill’s. Any Irish person knows Guinness’ quality can be quite variable outside of our little island, but I was not disappointed here. Prices are fine, pretty much in line with anywhere else around. Overall, a nice place I recommend checking out.

This is a great Irish pub in Norwalk. The have plenty of beers on tap and in bottles, with a lot of authentic food on the menu. They have specials every day of the week that are worth checking out. It usually doesn’t get too noisy, even when it’s crowded, which is a plus for me.

We were here for lunch with friends and everyone thought their food was very good. I had the fish pie which I enjoyed, two others had salmon and another the chicken curry dish. The food is well prepared with generous portions; I would call what they serve very good comfort food — nothing fancy but done well. The menu is more varied that what I would have expected for an Irish pub — salmon florentine, chicken dijonaise and penne a la vodka, for example. The service was friendly and prompt — overall a very nice lunch experience.

Great Irish pub. It is everything you are looking for as far as comfort food is concerned. It can get pretty noisy as it is wide open.

Been here twice now. Great place to get drunk(cocktails are pricy but the beer is normal priced) and get your drunchies on. The fries and wings are perfect for your buzz. It’s good for a sit down meal too — had the nachos(which are huge) and the chicken bacon club sandwich(pretty standard). The meal comes with raisin biscuits(weirdly delicious) and the service is always great.

Good place for casual drinks. We ended up here late on a Saturday night. Stayed for a few drinks and shots. We had a great bartender, who gently reminded us when it was last call for kitchen and drinks. Good pub, okay pub food selection.

O’Neill’s is a gem. It’s got great bar food, like wings and some fried delicious stuff, but it also manages to pull off bigger entrees like steak and the classic bangers and mash. In terms of drinks, the beer and wine is where it’s at. I’m sure they can pull off cocktails, but it’s just more a beer and wine type place. Cool outdoor patio, nice interior, live music on the weekend. It’s not too loud and there’s no gimmicks. You go for the kind, non rowdy crowd, good drinks, and good eats.

We really enjoy the fish n chips and wings here. We had just about everything on the menu and everything is good. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. This is our go to place on St Patrick’s Day. We always have a blast! We take the kids early so they can see the irish tap dancers and listen to the bag pipes. We highly recommend it.

I called a head a reserved a table for ST. Pats days. After being there for five hours and spending over $ 200 the tall bald head white guy who was a manager comes over to me and my friends and tells us he is taking our table. We said to him that’s fine can you find us another table and he said no get up. He was very mean and disrespectful. I regret spending my money there, exposing my friends to this and will never go back. Go anywhere else then there they do not care about the customers who pay the bills and there salary. Please tell your friends so this does not happen to you.

Cool interior. Highlight is the space, hard wood, and lovely fireplace. Decent pub food– fried, burgers, nachos etc. The bangers & mash, Fish & chips, Corned Beef & hash will satisfy your Irish cravings. HH: $ 3.50 domestic beer, $ 1 off drinks. Drafts are your better bets– Guinness, Allagash, Harp & Sam Adams seasonals. Brunch is $ 21 for a hot & cold buffet w carving station. Solid for groups.

Been there many, many times. Never had a bad experience. If there was something bothering it was quickly resolved. You know how you need to have a main hub pub even when you continue exploring new options. Well, for me this is O’Neill’s. I always come back.

Must say, even though the current location is spacious and well laid out, I miss the old O’Neill’s. It just reminds me of my early 20s(and ok, sneaking in well before that). The ‘new’ venue is set apart from the flow of SoNo and represents a kind of sloppy, cover band jammin’, freshly minted 21 year old scene. However, the food is decent from what I recall, and the brews are fine as well. I wouldn’t go hear during peak weekend times(I’m becoming less and less of a party animal) but it’s an a-ok spot overall.
