June 6 DNR Free Weekend and 50th Anniversary of The Elroy Sparta Trail… Riders Everywhere!
The Kendall Depot got a Thank You Card GUSHING about the helpful friendly people in this beautiful area. 2 first time rides stopped in Norwalk for lunch when the got ready to continue their trip the noticed the tire and tube were busted on one of the bikes. Lesa of Lesa T’ Café called Wilton Hardware Hank set up a repair, put the bike in her truck, drove the riders to Wilton, waited them and drove them back so they could continue their ride. Lesa T’s not only has good food and a beautiful location but great customer service. Thanks Lesa for going out of you way to make it a memorable weekend for this couple.

We jumped off the Elroy — Sparta bike trail in Norwalk and grabbed a jumbo dog (Norwalk style) — melted nacho cheese, crispy bacon, and sautéed onions plus a chicken salad sandwich on a hoagie. It was A-​OK! You don’t have to worry about calories when you’re biking! It’s outdoor eating (think root beer stand).
