A little pricey for dinner, but the food selection is great. The staff was very attentive and refilled our beverages/took away our empty plates in a quick manner. Also, I absolutely love honey walnut shrimp so any buffet that offers that is awesome in my book.

I used to love this place, but I’m starting to notice how FILTHY it is. Floor is dirty, plates and bowls are SUPER dirty(you can literally see pieces of food on them), and when they seat you at the front, you can smell the toilet water from the bathroom.

You pay what you get. Service is horrible. Food is decent enough to swallow. The workers here will blatantly talk trash about you in their own language as a plus. Pointing and staring. Workers are racist as well. You can notice how they treat those that aren’t East Asian.

If I could give this place no stars I would. Staff very rude and grumpy, hardly smile and no manners. My sister was grabbing food, and a little Asian lady in Orange pushed her out of the way and put food in the containers. The food was mediocre and bland. I had such a terrible experience here that I will NEVER come back here and I will tell everyone I know not to come here

After reading some of the reviews and my brother sending me a pic of a cockroach on some dessert, I was scared… My cousin decided to treat our large party of 20+ people here for the lunch buffet. Parking is a bit crazy, but go to the back as there is a larger parking lot. As soon as I walked up, I immediately noticed the B rating. HOLYCRAP, I’m going to have stomach issues. I decided that whatever I was going to eat, I was only going to eat the cooked items. They have sushi, salads, fruit, desserts, mongolian grill, soups, appetizers, fried foods, etc. At least the menu was extensive. I did stick with the mongolian grill. The veggies were not fresh — I noticed the cabbage was already turning brown! The only item that was noteworthy were the fried donuts. I ate about 3 of those and it made up for the visit. Note: There is another Asian restaurant in the same shopping center that has a B rating… You may want to go elsewhere!!!

Okay Unilocalers. I may have not checked in on Unilocal over the years but I have been coming here for 10 years and the reason is that at time when I am in the Norwalk area and I want to have an all you can eat lunch with my family because my grandmother loves it here because of the variety of options and it’s a buffet, I really have enjoyed the food here. The staff and servers here don’t look friendly but they are efficient and serve the needs of their customers. However, on this day December 21,2015, I have never in my experience had a server tell me that I can’t get you water because I don’t work the area. I find this perplexing because I never had this said to me in the 10 years I have been coming here off and on. I find this interesting. That is why I am giving 3 stars out of 5, the food is still good and have variety of options but yeah. What is your opinion Unilocalers? Have any of you at any restaurant or buffet place experience this at all?

Ok at best. Went here because we had a 15 percent off coupon and was really excited at first because of the wide selections, but as soon as I tasted my first bite, I started to become disappointed. The food wasn’t fresh– the salad was actually kinda tasted of rotten veggies, so I didn’t finish that. The entrees were ok, they had oysters, soft shell crabs, noodle dishes, and fried rice, which I liked. The soups were pretty good though, I liked the hot and sour soup, and the broth for their wonton soup. For dessert, I was looking forward to the crêpe station, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations, it just felt like a whole bunch of canned fruits in my crêpe, and who knows what type of sauce was actually on it. The ice cream didn’t taste like real ice cream, it was really more like almond flavored ice. Would I come back? I guess if I really really have to, like in a all of grocery stores are closed and no other restaurants open type of way, but definitely not in the near future.

Three stars for this place is the perfect description — it’s just«A-OK.» My family and I came here on a Sunday for early dinner. It’s a good thing we came a bit early because by late dinner time — there was what looked like a long wait. I would hate to have to wait for a table here — it’s a buffet so people take forever! Haha. The restaurant was crowded and we got a table in the back. The place is similar to other asian food buffets — a mixture of chinese food, seafood, salads/fruits, etc. The food quality is mediocre at best but there’s plenty of it so you can get your fill. I think most people come to eat crab legs as it is where they get their money’s worth. Personally, I’m not a fan of doing all that work but if you are — then you’ll like it. Service here was not great. It may have been because the restaurant was so busy but it took our server a long time to refill our drinks each time, take away our plates or bring us napkins as necessary. They also have a crêpe place and the guy who was working it was rude, rude rude! I don’t live in the area so it’s a bit of a drive for me if I wanted to come here. Sooo with that said, I don’t think I would come back here. I know lots of other places that are much closer for around the same price which I would prefer.

I’ve eaten at this place many times for lunch and dinner. Times where its super busy and other times when its slow. I think the service has usually been good. My only complaint would be the grill chef. sometimes if there’s a line he’s slow to take your plate. I wish they had a number system or something so you could give him your food to cook and leave than get it when its done. And when its not so busy, he’s not always there. But the waiters are pretty good. Drinks are usually always filled and used plates taken without asking and rarely pile up. On to the food. Place offers Beef ribs, egg, k BBQ short ribs, talapia whole(fried or steamed), clams, sushi, ice cream, fried shrimp, mayo shrimp, rice, a couple of soups and other fastfood Chinese items. The times where the food is at its best is usually around 315pm right when they bring out dinner for obvious reasons. if you come other times I think it’s more of a gamble if its a busy or slow day for food prep unless weekends, but you’ll have to deal with weekend crowds and people. I’m pretty sure this is a family owned or at least runned. Sometimes I see them bring in there kid on a weekday whose usually studying. so its nice to support small business’. The hostess who seats people is usually very nice. Its usually this petite lady or sometimes I think its her Mom when she’s not in. So based on the food, service, family — mom and pop place and value for dollar, I’d definitely recommend.

Will come back again with my new girlfriend hahah The service is so friendly. The waiter with some red hair and tattoo on his arm is so nice and always ask if i need anything. Give him 5 stars I recommend this place for everyone

4-Star for the food selection and quality for $ 7.99 lunch AYCE. We work not far from it, so ever since we heard about this place, we came here several times already, and will continue to come. For $ 7.99, the selection is wide and food pretty good. First of all, its a buffet so I never expect gourmet food. All the times we went, they are usually busy, but since the place is big, they sat us down quickly. My 1st plate is usually the salted shrimp, fish, and a bowl of clams. Then comes the meat and veggie. 3 or 4 different soup selections. Again, all pretty good for what you pay. I did try Mongolian BBQ once, and that wasn’t very good; not much taste.(the Mongolian BBQ in Brea Mall is great, which I have a review on). We also never had issues with service. Yes, sometimes(often) they are busy so they can’t get to you immediately. But again, to me, its acceptable for the price. All in all, its good food for the price. Look at it the other way. If you go to any Chinese fast food place(yes, Panda express included), a 3-item combo is almost that price, and those are not cook-to-order either. Or any regular burger place, a combo will be near that price also. So for that price, its good, and we will be back.

He has been there with my in laws and omg one word aweeesome lol dx. the service was well managed, the server kept giving us drinks while they weren’t quite that low in our cups. The food was awesome. thank you you for you and your friendly staff. I’m a very happy customer, PS had about three plates lol dx couldn’t fit dessert lol next time I will lol dx

This place is good for an AYCE chinese buffet. I love the amount of different protein options and the Mongolian bar! That’s pretty much the only reason why I gave it 3 stars instead of 2 lol. Price isn’t bad for what you get. The only memorable things here were the fish dishes, bbq pork/chicken, and mongolian bar. The fillers like soup and salad were very bad. The desserts weren’t good either, most of the stuff in the fridge case were low quality cakes and stuff. However, the restrooms were really clean! Really big area and they were getting crowded for weekend brunch.

The only reason to ever go here is if you want a cheap all-you-can-eat meal. The food is pretty consistently subpar. The food simply doesn’t taste fresh and some of it is outright disgusting. I end up eating plates of french fries because it’s pretty hard to mess those up. The customer service is awful. The workers are definitely not friendly, difficult to get a hold of even though they’re sometimes just lulling around the buffet with judgmental looks on their faces.

Hibachi was recommended by a friend, granted she did a review back in 2012 but it was remembered as being good. To me, the place has probably gone down the hole, not a very good spot. Walking around, looking at different foods for selections, at first it seemed like oh OK so they do have good looking food. Looks can be deceiving… About 80% of the food that I tasted was pretty bland. From Salmon, to shrimp, to chicken, soups etc etc etc. Probably two things that I can recommend would be their Crawfish and their beef steak. I had two servings of each and not too bad actually. The crawfish wasn’t fresh, it is a buffet, but loved how the seasoning was able to reach the meat part. You bite it and it still taste how it looks on the outside with the seasoning. Some restaurants, you take the meat out and its just crawfish with no seasoning taste. The beef steak reminded me a bit like jerky. Covered in some sweet sauce, served with broccoli. That’s pretty much the only thing I liked here. They have a Mongolian bar where you choose your items and have someone grill them on the spot. When I prepped my plate and ready to eat, first bite was a bit weird. Had a weird taste like if it was missing something or just not good quality sauces to add or not fresh ingredients. Bad taste in beginning and after taste. Totally did not like this, even malls have better Mongolian tasting food. The one thing I got excited for was how they make Crepes here for you. I had the idea to add these fried bananas from the dessert selection into my crêpe. Handed them to the man and then they sealed the deal with the 2 star rating for me. He basically just folded the crêpe with the bananas, didn’t add all the cream and toppings like other people did! I was like wtf? Go back and ask him if he can add some of the cream at least on top, takes my plate with a bitter attitude and just a half ass line of cream, not even on the crêpe! I was like«I’m over this» Went to ice cream machine to eat it with my crêpe, the damn machine freezes the ice cream too much that it doesn’t even pour it right! you have to literally cut the ice cream from the machine with a utensil or your fingers… The last and final piece to add to this bad experience, is the audacity of them to pour some fruits and tapioca pudding on the fruit and dessert bar in front of all the people straight from the cans! One thing you expect is that maybe not everything is fresh but at least give the person the idea that it is. Don’t go outside with a big tub of tapioca pudding and straight pour it out in front of everyone! Take the dish and pour it in the back! Probably top 5 worst buffet I’ve been to, the crawfish and beef steak saved your rating from a 1 star.

Alright, so the food here is either average or below average. It’s buffet food so it’s somewhat hard to expect more. I was particularly disappointed with their Mongolian BBQ station which serves up a Mongolian noodle plate fresh to you. Despite it being hot off the grill, the taste of the food is quite unsavory. Another thing that really holds this place back is the overall lackadaisical attitude of every employee here. They all look like they want to go home. I said«thank you» to the Mongolian beef cooker and he didn’t even want to acknowledge me. But you know what, the best darn part about this place is its fantastic price. You really can’t overlook a $ 9 lunch buffet on the weekend; that’s a pretty savvy deal.

Ehhhhh food is okay. I stuck with my typical contest food eats, beef and broccoli, veggies, orange chicken and fried rice. I stuck just with California rolls. This place is great if you are feeding huge groups of people and they have a separate room for private parties.
