This is a review of Dr. Lomnitz only. I have had no dealings with the billing department or office staff. Dr. Lomnitz showed skill and a breadth of knowledge when dealing with my 94 year old father! Thank you Dr Lomnitz!

I’ve been trying to get the results of a CPT test performed 3 weeks ago. I called several times, I get lip service, I’ll have someone call you back. Still waiting. I’m sorry my doctor signed on with these yahoos.

Bad business conduct. I tried to pay my bill the day of service, they refused and said they would bill me. Next thing I received was a call from a collections agency. They never sent a bill or even gave me a call. I then attempted to get a bill from them but they don’t pick up the phone or return messages. Now I have the choice to pay a fee that seems way to high or get harassed by collections. Shame on you Cardiology Physicians of Fairfield County LLC.

Beware of office charges here, folks, if you go to the 40 Cross Street office for anything! CALLTHEMANDYOURINSURANCECOMPANYTOVERIFYWHATYOUWILLBECHARGED. My wife had a stress test done in their office, as directed by her doctor. We later get a bill for over $ 500, instead of the $ 30 – 40 co-pay that was shown on our insurance carrier’s web site(mind you, there were several other doctors’ offices at 40 Cross that also showed a small co-pay). It turns out, despite the fact you are having said procedure done in a medical OFFICE, they can charge you for a hospital/urgent care procedure/visit. Apparently, they are doing what a lot of providers started doing many years ago to boost their profits: Check public for more info on this shady practice by doctors. The doctor’s office and hospital associated with the doctor or facility can bill separately and it’s not covered under insurance because it’s not an «emergency» visit. When contacted, the billing person was very nasty both times, trying to justify the switcheroo they pulled on us. The insurance carrier, as expected, threw up their arms and said«Sorry, nothing we can do.» Nice. During one of the calls, we were also informed that if she had gone to their Fairfield office, this wouldn’t be an issue. Apparently, the hospital owns the equipment at the Norwalk location and can thus bill accordingly. We were also told«this is how doctors can make more money.» Yes, we were told that. We are contacting the state AG’s office and our two state senators to get involved, because this shouldn’t be allowed to continue.
