Wow! Went here Friday evening with my friend for drinks, and we were amaze on how good and unique the drinks are. The service was good very attentive waitresses. Definitely will be back soon!!! Another plus to this was is that they play very good music as well! This has become one of my go to places for food and drinks!

Tonight was our first and only time here. We found d it here on Unilocal and it was right down the street so we decided we would give it a try. We walked in and had the option of the bar or regular dining area which happened to be kareoke night. We opted to the dining area my husband likes that kind of music. I said I won’t hold the loud music against them because it is after 10pm and they are open late so you have to expect entertainment of some sort. She brought over our drinks which were great I had a mango margarita. We both ordered the carnitas plate and when it arrived I immediately said why does it smell like peanut butter later we realized they had fried the carnitas in peanut oil. You could taste it in the meat and it took away from the flavor. It was served plain no guacamole no grilled green onions or sour cream. But the kicker was when we waited 20 min for the check and we had to go search for the waitress and she was taking her lunch in the bar. Never again.

Good salsa and chips. Drinks are good as well the food. Came for party but still good. Atmosphere is great. Staff was helpful and polite.

Food was good, server was attentive. She answered questions and was willing to accommodate. Chili verde came with home made tortillas that were divine. The kids meal rocks. Food, drink and desert for like $ 6. The taquitos were great in the combo plate I just wished it came with more guacamole. House margarita was tasty and could be addictive. The prices were a little higher but you are paying for the fact much is homemade, it’s a sit down restaurant with table service and a lovely staff. We will be back.

This a really good place for a good meal and a lot of drinks.
Very friendly staff and even on the busiest of times they take good care of you and the drinks are awesome very original.
My favorite night is karaōke night even if you don’t sing you get into it. The mariachi on Sunday’s is good as well, most definitely I’ll be going back to Baja!!!

This place has amazing food, excellent drinks, and the best service. The waitresses and bartenders are always super attentive.
Come have Mexican food and margaritas or micheladas here instead of gross places like el torito.
Happy hour is my favorite. 4−7pm, m-​f with 5 dollar margaritas that are baby fish bowl sized!!! And good food like nachos and hot wings for 5 bux.

Best chips and salsa I’ve ever had. The problem is you fill up on them before your meal comes

Let’s start with the fact that this place is near my house so it’s very convenient!
They do have a Micheladas special and it’s on Wednesdays although I have yet to try it. People apparently rave about their Micheladas.
I’m going to say that the tacos here are delicious but $ 2.99 a pop! Usually can get $ 1 tacos for the same item at a taco truck. To order just 6 small tacos for $ 18 is kind of steep for the basic yummy taco that I can get from King Taco. I can buy like 30 tacos from there for $ 18, I come here for the experience of dining in a restaurant, the location and for the fact that their drinks are appealing. Really think they should be a dollar, obviously I’m protesting here so anyone care to join in? Haha. Even during their «Therapy Hour» better known as Happy Hour from 3 – 7 on weekdays tacos aren’t included on that menu. Okay, I admit that their chicken and asada are marinated and cooked perfectly and that the asada doesn’t have extra fatty or chewy bits other places do so you can see why I love it so much.
They don’t serve a Taco Tuesday either, which really sucks because I mean what Mexican restaurant doesn’t?! I’m hoping they get with the program though. Okay well I’m done praising/​complaining about the tacos. I just love them and wish they were a little cheaper. That’s the bottom line.
Moving along, I’ve had their large margaritas. You can come here and pay $ 10 for it or $ 5. Obviously I’m a fan of HH prices and the $ 5 margs make me a happy customer. Lime flavor was good but couldn’t finish it last time so it wasn’t worth $ 10 to me, but hold up… The Tamarindo marg was like heaven. Rimmed with the spicy Mexican seasoning, topped with a cute umbrella and a nice fresh lime wedge. It was perfect. I can say one of the BEST margs I’ve ever had. This being that I have tried so many from upscale pricey restaurants to the hole in the wall joints.
Horchata is delicious here, perfectly sweet, creamy and cinnamon-​y!
Taquitos Dorado — we ordered but it’s a whole plate for $ 9.99 usually and we got it for like $ 5.99? It was yummy, the beef a little burnt on the inside but overall presentation and toppings were nice. Comes with an avocado dipping sauce. We asked if we could do half chicken and half beef but our waitress «Betty» would not accommodate. That’s okay we get it lol.
Speaking of Betty… She came promptly to us at first but was a little rude I think because my BF is white and I am Asian. To sum it up we are not Mexicans but I do speak some Spanish. My BF was saying «pollo tacos» because he attempted to order it and she quickly told him «CHICKEN» haha! Omg! His face turned pink. I wanted to laugh even though that was kind of rude to do to him. She didn’t have a problem with me saying «asada, Horchata or pollo» so I guess my accents are on point lol. She tried to repeat our order and talked about a chicken enchilada… We didn’t order that and I got nervous our orders would come out wrong. Again.
[side story] Backtracking — The last visit I came here with my son and aunt for lunch on Cinco De Mayo && our waitress got my aunts order completely wrong. She asked for a chipotle burger twice and a BLT came out lol. We waited like 20 mins for our food and then she waited another 15. She didn’t even get to eat with us at the same time so she ended up packing the whole plate to go. Fail!
Anyway, the food here is pretty good. The drinks are awesome too. The service needs to improve, the disconnect between some waitresses and diners can be confusing and time wasting because of the language differences plus being treated differently because we aren’t the same ethnicity. They need to focus on giving equal service to ALL customers not just spanish speakers. I could say the same for other places but since I am reviewing this particular place I’ll make a comment here.
I honestly think this place has a lot of potential, a few tweaks and really listening to the reviews and feedback can help the business. At the end of the day your customers are the people keeping your doors open so working with our experiences we have at your restaurant would be wise. We would like to feel welcomed and treated with friendly service as we know you would to if you dined out with your family. I wouldn’t write all of this if I didn’t want to really like this place, trust me I want to. For now I have to give only 3 stars for the last two experiences for service. I don’t mind adding two more but we will see after the next visit.
Would I recommend this place? Yes, for HH and drinks. Will I return? Yes, to see if things improve.
Eating here for 3 people has run us an average of $ 45 plus tip so take it how you want.

This place was simply scrumptious! The chicken enchiladas are soooo bomb! I really enjoyed them. Also the micheladas are so on point! Can’t wait to come back!

Excellent. Chicken is cooked perfect! The rice and beans are off the hook yummy. The tomatillo sauce has very good flavor.
The bilingual staff is friendly, prompt and attentive. The place is clean and spacious too. Definitely a place to return to.

Well imma start with the food, i order a molcajete and it wasnt that good, it wasnt bad but i can say it was ok, we ordered 2 coffees and 2 watters, she brought coffees but didnt bring no sugar, so i got up and i asked another server to pls give me some sugar for my coffee and some straws for my watter, (that should be like ABC’S for a server with experience) we had a baby with us she never asked if we wanted a high chair, so i asked for it and she seem to be mad about me asking for a high chair for my 1 year old baby, she came back to our table once to asked if we were ok, after we got done eating she was passing by us but she never asked if we wanted the bill, she was helping some other costumers so i was giving her time, but she never came back i had to get up again ask for my bill and a box to go, im not a person who requires 5 start service but this server just looked like she didnt want to be there, my husband dont speak spanish so she didnt understood what he asked for or maybe she did she just didnt care so i had to translate for him, any ways if u r a server and u know u make that extra money by giving good service so pls make a little effort to provide good costumer service, i didnt get the servers name but it was this girl with really blonde hair, my advise to u, hire bilingual servers, always keep a smile on ur face, dont act like ur mad even if u r, and pls always try to make sure ur costumers always have what they need to enjoy their meal bcuz us costumers dont need to be chaising u around to get what we need. Thank you.
I might come back another day to give u guys a 2^nd chance, place is really nice in the inside though, we’ll see next time.

Micheladas alone are 5stars this place lost two stars due to our personal waitress Josephina aka La Chona by staff. She was very rude, curt, and how shall I say unwelcoming she came by a few times but offered basic poor service. Had she not had Shakira (another server) check in on us we would never come back. Shakira was great! She brought service that made me want to come back. Shakira made us laugh, provided us with recommendations, noticed our server had us box our ceviche with no bag and offered us one to ensure it wouldn’t spill. That’s quality service. On our way to restroom we could hear Josephina yelling at her fellow coworkers in distasteful Spanish. Food was mediocre the ceviche de Camaron was okay just seemed like they dumped pico de gallo on shrimp. Considering I had to get up and get my own silverware from another table my first experience here was no greater than a 3. I’d definitely come back for DRINKS only.

The food’s mediocre and the drinks are over priced. It’s was a slow brunch hour and it still took too long to get out food — never mind drink refills.
When were done picking at our food, we looked around for our waitress and she was no where to be found. We had to ask the bartender for our check, we paid and got out of town.
It’s disappointing because I really wanted to like this place. On one note, the green chilaquiles were pretty good.

Food and drinks are amazing… Not to mention service is ALWAYS great. We drive here whenever we can from LAX area… Our server Ana is absolutely one of the BEST servers we’ve had here. Baja California Bar & Grill never fails!!!

This place is a fucking joke… Where do I start?
Food was mediocre, not unpleasant but nothing impressive. Save your money and go to your nearest taco truck.
Drinks were delicious but I don’t recall ordering a *virgin margarita –_​–
Nonetheless I was very polite with our server and we sat there with no complaints.
Once the disappointment settled in we were ready to go. After 20 minutes of what seemed like eternity, our server was not in sight. We had to ask for our bill twice, and when it finally came, we went up to the cashier to pay.
As we waited our turn I saw a group of 5 – 6 people walking in and no one acknowledged them, workers just kept rushing by ignoring their presence. The lady walked up to our line and asked the guy who was charging our card if they had to seat themselves… To my surprise he looks up, kinda rolled his eyes and just nodded yes! I couldn’t believe it. If I were them I would have walked out right there. In disbelief, I asked the guy, «are you guys short staffed tonight?» As he hands me back my card and receipt… He stays silent… There was a blank expression on his face and then I asked him again, because I wasn’t sure if he didn’t understand or whether I was flat out being ignored… So he replies «JUST SIGN» and For lack of better words, I just said «wow, I’m sorry but THAT WAS TERRIBLE!» …I have never seen such rude behavior in my life… I feel bad for the other party, and you better believe that I left zero tip (there’s always a first for something but that’s how bad it was!).
It is clear the workers here really hate their jobs, I almost felt bad for them and I even tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but there’s just no excuse. Never coming here again, should’ve gone to Geezers instead.

We love this place! Yummy food. yummy drinks. good happy hour menu. regular menu items are delicious. .we’ve tried a variety of dishes from the menu n I have to say. we have not been disappointed. I tried a Tamarindo margarita and it was delicious.. And the micheladas are to die for! Totally recommend this place.

We had appetizers and the guacamole «a su Mesa» needs refinement as it’s a tad bit too citrusy (the lime juice is profound). The strawberry margarita is light on color and alcohol content. The «Adiós» (possibly a spiked version of the Blue Cadillac) drink kicks ass! The meseras are hot and very attentive. These gorgeous Latinas are probably from L.A. Very attentive and congenial indeed. My waitress, «Ana», was sweet and kind. Loved her accent.

I love this place amazing food great friendly staff and their drinks!!! Bomb! Great place to celebrate any occasion or just to come have some great food with staff that makes you feel like family. Definitely one my top Mexican restaurant! Must try!

My wife and I come here every week. The carne asada tacos are really good and the micheladas are like no other. The staff is professional and friendly and the atmosphere is calm and delightful. This place never disappoints

Good, atmosphere is pleasant. Downside is the parking, not too many spots. Full bar, super good micheladas, palomas, and margaritas! Tvs by the bar, playing traditional Mexican music! Guacamole is fresh and tasty! Waitresses are friendly, quick service! Overall pleasant experience in Norwalk.
