5 Reasons why Rebeca’s is an amazing piano teacher: 1) She let’s you choose the music you want to play. Instead of being bored to tears with scales, theory, and overplayed songs that are in every piano book, she let’s you choose the music that you like, and helps you learn it. She understand that by you having control of the music you want to learn, you will be more motivated, practice more, and find playing the piano a truly enjoyable experience. 2) She listens to feedback. I get frustrated if I have to work on only one song during a lesson, so we break it up, and I spend half an hour on one, and the the other half hour on a different piece or song. 3) She is a great teacher in the way she explains things. Her instructions make sense in terms of the notes, the timing and the sight reading. The fingerings on the songs make impossible songs possible. 4) She helps you improve your own music too. As a songwriter, mainly playing guitar, I really wanted to add piano to one of my songs and was ready to hire a piano player. However, with Rebeca’s help, I was able to write a piano piece to accompany my song that sounded very pretty. 5) I had taken lessons here and there in college but had reached a plateau in my playing and could never improve or play more challenging pieces. In one year of having weekly sessions with Rebeca, I can now play the Nocturne in C#minor by Chopin. Enough Said. :)
