My family and I have been taking cherished pieces to Gateway for years. In fact, I now live in the Bay Area and still bring my art south for framing. Creative, professional, timely, careful, well priced — businesses like Gateway are (sadly) few and far between. At this moment I’ve three items being curated by them, and I’m 100% certain there will be more.

Gateway Art & Frame is a wonderful, family owned and professional business. They do a fantastic job on all of our artwork and photos. One of my favorite pieces was for our wedding invitation where they took such special care and personalized the framing just for us. Will continue to recommend this unique shop to others. The best quality framing in LA!

A friend gave me a print of a photo he took. I took it here to get it framed, and I just got it back today. Came out really nice. If I need something else framed I would come back for sure. The guy was super nice and helped me pick out the right frame and a mat color to make it look better. Couldn’t be happier.

We take all my art to Gateway for framing. They do a great job and give excellent advice. And they don’t get bossy about choices like some custom frame places are known to do. Highly recommended!

one of the few remaining mom and pops shops around that still provide handmade skilled craftsmanship services. the owner john is an amazing artist, so i know that every piece of art that i have framed by him is in good hands. it’s obvious that he treats his framing as an art form in it’s own right, which i have yet to come across in any of the other frame shops i’ve ever frequented. one of the valley’s best kept secrets!

Where does one go to have some artwork mounted/​framed? Aaron Brothers comes to mind but I wanted to support a small local business. In fact that is all that Gateway does, and they do it very well for nearly 40 years in the same location!
In speaking with the owner, John, he offers his personal touch and a various options on what will work best with your particular piece. He brings an artists eye as he confessed to me that his real passion is his own artwork. He told me that he is in Laguna Beach all of the time selling his originals. He brings that same artistic flare to his framing,
The items he mounted for me came out flawlessly and were done on time and under the cost of the other framing places that I had gotten estimates.

the owners, John and Euni, do excellent work at great prices. they are perfectionists and John is an artist. everything i’ve gotten framed by them has been flawless. other chain stores don’t compare.
