Should you be unlucky enough to find yourself in Dr. Gray’s dentistry practice, hold on to your wallet! I had been a patient of Dr. Gray’s for years… no longer.
Yesterday, I went in to Dr. Gray’s office at my noon appointment time incident to some severe pain I was, and still am, experiencing. Dr. Gray spent less than five (5) minutes with me, never touched the tooth in question, and declared that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my tooth. He assured me that my pain would resolve on its own and that there was absolutely nothing wrong with me. I initially assumed that he was being so brief with me because he didn’t intend to charge me for the visit that involved less than five (5) minutes of Dr. Gray’s time and didn’t involve the use of any dentistry tools or devices (single use or otherwise). Instead, and within ten (10) minutes of my on time arrival for my noon appointment, I was presented with a bill for $ 90.00! This works out to a rate of $ 1,080.00 per hour!
I then called his office 3 – 4 hours later in excruciating tooth pain — yes, the same tooth giving rise to my $ 90.00 office visit. I explained that I was not able to manage my pain with the near fatal dose of Tylenol and topically applied Ambisol (over the counter version of the cains — Lidocaine and Novocaine). I asked Dr. Gray’s receptionist for something stronger to manage my pain. After checking with Dr. Gray, the receptionist informed me that Dr. Gray would not prescribe me anything because Dr. Gray had found nothing wrong with me in his callously cursory less-​than-​five-​minute-​examination of me. This after having spent thousands of dollars at his office over many years. Mind you, I am not a drug-​seeking addict, and this was the first such request for pain medication I have ever made of him.
I cannot in good conscience recommend Dr. Gray to anyone. Stay clear of this man — I will.
