Parking: There is a private lot that seems like it could get packed at times, but a Friday night yielded plenty of parking. Food: Pork Banh Mi used the char siu pork and actually worked well. The bread was soft and the carrots, cucumber, and peppers all tasted fresh. Very solid banh mi in my book. Glad I have somewhere in the valley to get good banh mi!

We ordered food togo and the order was spot on and ready when they promised. That’s exactly what you would expect but sometimes don’t receive. The pork Bahn mi sandwich was not as unctuous as I would have expected, in fact it was a little on the dry side. We’re willing to try them again, because I ordered my daughter’s tofu sandwich without mayo which may have been the reason for mine being dry as well. The tofu summer rolls were yummy!

Tried their Bun Bo Hue(Spicy Beef Noodle Soup) here and it was bomb. I usually feel like this dish is either too oily or too bland at most places. But this was too perfect. Pricing is reasonable too, most of their items on the menu was under 10 dollars, plus they have boba and tea here too that compliments well with the food! Only con is that the place is really small, so on packed days, I’m sure there is no seating. I think there was about 5 tables total inside unfortunately. We got lucky that a couple finished eating right when we ordered.

Have yet to try the banh mi. The soups were decent though. Got brisket and steak phở. My bf liked it a lot. I, however, wasn’t too keen on the broth. It does come in a perfect sized bowl! I’d come back to eat here again

I always try to find an excuse to go here. I love the food. I usually get the grilled pork bun me, but I have also ordered the phở, fried and cold spring rolls and also the vermicelli noodle bowl. All are delicious. Usually, I’ll also splurge and grab an iced tea boba as well. If you like Vietnamese food without having to wait in a restaurant, this place is great.

Love this place! Their Bun Me sandwiches do not disappoint. I particularly like the grilled steak bun me. This is more of a pick-up restaurant as it is very small and only has 4 tables so I wouldn’t bring large parties here. The staff is friendly and attentive. They had a good amount of options for you to chose from. If you’re in the Valley I definitely recommend to stop in and pick up a bun me sandwich. A small restaurant with a big bite! Located in a strip mall near CSUN, this cute little place offers bahn mi, spring rolls, and phở. I love coming here for the bahn mi sandwiches. They offer chicken, pork, steak, deli cut, mushroom, and tofu. My favorite is the grilled pork. SOOOO tasty! I also love the shrimp spring rolls here. It’s 2 spring rolls, but they cut them in half, so it’s 4 small ones. It’s the cheapest I’ve seen, and very delicious. They also give a generous amount of peanut dipping sauce on the side. Why go to a sit down restaurant when you can get spring rolls here! They also offer various boba drinks. I just love getting the free water, bc they infuse it with lime and oranges and mint. LOVE infused water. The staff is friendly, I’ve always been greeted with a smile. The service is quick, no matter if you’re eating inside or taking it to go. The restaurant is small, so if you want to eat inside, it could get crowded depending on the time of day. Whenever I’ve come, they are always busy. If you want a tasty, healthy and cheap meal, come here. I can get a bahn mi sandwich and spring rolls for under $ 10. What a steal!

Not many places in the valley serve bun bo hue aka my favorite noodle dish ever, thankfully this is one of them! Wait time is short, staff is friendly and sweet(so sweet that I just want to hug the elderly grandma whenever I see her), and food is amazing and wonderful. The bun bo hue comes out in a decently sized bowl, placed alongside bean sprouts, lettuce, and a lime wedge on a plate. The few times I’ve been here, the food has always been of great quality and never lacking in flavor.

So first time trying Vietnamese food and needless to say I was not disappointed. The place itself is pretty small, I imagine during lunch time it’s a mess but I went during non peak time so seating wasn’t a problem. I order the lemon grass chicken sandwich or bun me sandwich and a shrimp summer roll. The sandwich was really good aside from the jalapenos, which was my fault for not noticing they came in the sandwich easily picked those out though. The roll was okay. I have never had a spring or summer roll before so I don’t really have something to compare to, I felt it was little skimpy on the shrimp but again never have had one so could just be a «me» thing. All in all I did enjoy my meal it was filling and felt relatively healthy compared to other food options. I will return and give their soups and other sandwiches a try.

All the sandwiches here are very tasty especially the pork because it was marinated for a very long time and then put on the grill and that made for some excellent eating. Also all the sandwiches are very fulfilling because they’re packed with veggies and meat. This is some really good Vietnamese food and I highly recommend you try it out if you have not already.

The phở was ok, the broth is not that great but not the worst neither. The boba is not good, I don’t know if it’s cuz I was there later of the day(7:30) so they have that batch of boba sitting there for long time so they are mushy instead of chewy like how they suppose to be. When I went there, they were sort of busy and this Pregnant lady who I assumed is either the owner or some sort of manager was not that friendly. No smile and don’t really talk to you but just hand you stuff without saying anything. When I tried to just help myself with some sauce with my togo(since she seemed in some really shitty mood and not feel like talking), she told me there are already sauce in the bag. I tried to get chop sticks, and she said there are chopsticks in there too. I mean, wouldn’t that be great if she told me that when she hand me the stuff? I asked her if that’s for my number, she didn’t say anything at all but hand it to me. Anyway, I believe there are other phở places out there for sure.

Came here after reading some reviews and craving some good Vietnamese food! Glad I listened to my fellow Unilocalers. Ordered the bun me special sandwich with everything. Should have held off on the jalapeños as they come whole and made my mouth burn! I’m a chicken when it comes to spicy so I’m not the best at describing it but it was hot! Glad they have a self serve cold water jug ready. No end to wait on water or refills. :) Now that I think of it I should have checked in to get 50% off a boba drink. Make sure you do it is half off after 6pm. Parking is easy! Just make sure to remember credit card use is of a minimum $ 7. See you there after 6pm!

The main reason I come here is for their rice plates. Not much choices for com tam if you’re living in the valley. Stopped by and grabbed a steak rice plate, deli special bun me, and also the ginger wings. The ginger wings were exactly as advertised. Really crispy and covered in a sweet ginger sauce, but they weren’t cooked all the way through. The banh mi was a little disappointing. I prefer my banh mi in long French baguettes. There wasn’t much pâté and I wish there were pig ears for that extra crunch. The rice plate was good, steak wasn’t dry and fried onions added a nice touch. Not the most authentic Vietnamese food, but I guess that caters to the CSUN crowd. A little pricey and portions are on the smaller side.

My husband’s favorite lunch spot!!! Everytime we are in the valley, we need our bun me fix. Funny we don’t ever get bahn mi, next time i promise to try it! But Im just so satisfied with our usual orders, the pork plate, which is by far the best anywhere weve been, the steak plate and if it’s chilly or cold the spicy bun bo hue. Pair anything with their milk tea which is also really really goood, if you like the milky taste to your milk tea. We never get tired of this place!

LOVEDIT! After reading the reviews I decided to come in and try it. Bahn Mi is my favorite type of sand which so I was excited. I got the grilled pork bun me, summer rolls with shrimp and taro smoothie with boba. The bahn mi was perfect. Meat was juicy and full of flavor, perfect amount of veggies and the jalapeños were nice and spicy how I like them. Bread was nice n crispy yet soft inside. The summer rolls were totally fresh and made to order so they weren’t sitting in a fridge all day. The taro smoothie was okay. I feel like it didn’t have a lot of flavor and was super icy. It was still refreshing with this crazy hot weather.

Small place(only a couple tables open) with smaller-sized sandwiches, but extremely affordable and delicious! I got the lemongrass chicken banh mi — the ingredients were plentiful, fresh, and bursting with flavor. The chicken was extremely juicy, piping hot, and nestled in a fresh baguette with carrots, cucumber, and other refreshing vegetables. The marinade was sort of sweet, but the rest of the sandwich balanced it out really well. I definitely will be back, especially since it’s so close to where I live!

I love me some BUNME!!! I always order the same thing from here.(lemongrass chicken bun me)! It never disappoints. Who knew a lil chicken with shaved carrots, cilantro and a couple other ingredients would be so good. The first time i came here was with my sis. I ordered the bun me and she had phở. We sat inside and i was pleased. Ever since that day I’ve been coming often to grab me a bun lol. The menu is very simple. Inside is not that spacious so i wouldn’t go with a big group. They probably have 4 tables packed closely together. The same shopping plaza offers other delicious goodies. Employees are nice and ur order is made quick. Please go try it! Enjoy!

Pretty darn good! My son is addicted to the sandwiches. After moving him out of CSUN for the summer, we were starved! Ordered a Banh sandwich, a phở w/steak, beef balls, and brisket, a egg noodle soup, «summer» rolls– both shrimp and tofu. Very fresh and delicious. I was especially surprised at how much I enjoyed the egg noodle soup. I’m no phở expert but the broth was on point! Really inexpensive. I got all that for like 30 bucks. To improve they need someone to wash down the tables regularly. We sat at a dirty table. When I did witness someone cleaning a table it was more of a knock-the-food-off approach. And the cloth was disgusting looking. Not sure if it’s usually that color(dirty tan) but it was scary. PS– Free ice cold fruit infused water available.

Finally, a decent bahn mi place in the valley! Not the best I’ve ever had, but its definitely the best I’ve ever had in the valley. I ordered the Deli Cold Cut Bun Mi with a side of Spicy Crispy Ginger Wings. The deli bahn mi consisted of pâté, char siu, and pork roll. What made this sandwich different from other bahn mi places is their sweet sauce. Also, the wings were crispy, spicy, and tangy. All in all, everything was delicious. Bun Me is truly a triple threat: cheap, delicious, and filling.
