Amuse

I used to come to this store in the Northridge Mall until I discovered So Good Jewelry (once on Melrose Ave.) Amuse has a nice but limited selection of earrings, rings, necklaces, hair accessories, sunglasses, even make-​up. This store has not only changed its inventory to lure in more of a younger crowd, but also, I can find more at So Good, a much larger version of this, and appealing to all age groups… but a trip to Santa Barbara is now in order for that. Too old for Claire’s? Head upstairs to Amuse, where you’ll find better rhinestones and more variety. If you need giant neon hoop earrings, giant rhinestoned hoop earrings, giant heart-​shaped earrings, or giant weigh-​down-​your-​earlobes earrings, they’ve got it. Oh, and fiiiine, earrings that are not large, are tasteful, and don’t weigh down your earlobes. The styles run from tweeny to trashy to formal, and they have nicer/​more expensive/​suitable for fancy events rhinestone stuff locked up at the counter. There’s also a selection of hair accessories and other jewelry, but I’m all about the earrings. My mom recommends buying jewelry that won’t eventually crack apart and turn your piercing green before that, but I say to heck with that, gimme some $ 7 dangly earrings. At least they won’t tarnish.

We went here on Thursday the 14^th and picked up 2 pairs of earrings.
One huge pair of hoops covered in diamonds (silver) $ 18.99 and 1 smaller pair of hoops covered in diamonds that were (gold) $ 12.99. The larger pair was for my daughter and the smaller ones were for me.
They keep them in a locked case… and upon entering the store I asked the man working there (Y. Kim) to please get the 2 pairs. Once he was ringing up the sale… his computer screen FROZE.
Wasn’t too much of a delay though… and I was quickly on my way. The store has cute stuff galore 8))
