So happy I found Akilah, first time there I walked in and was greeted by really nice ladies, it’s a family environment for sure… I didn’t have an appointment because it was just on a whim but she was able to fit me in and I am very impressed with my cut. I could tell by the way she washed my hair she really cared about her clients so excited I found someone close to me!

OMG I love Akilah!!! She totally saved me from a hair stylist that couldn’t keep their appointments. She is very professional and sweet as pie. I’m a freak about time & she is always there when I get there. She does an excellent job on my hair. My hair loves her. She gets me in & out. I never feel rushed while I’m with her. I can explain exactly what I want done, & she hooks me up. If ur looking for a stylist that does great hair in the valley, especially black hair (which is hard to find) this is your girl!!!

Akilah Monae is probably the best stylist I have ever had! I am mixed black and white, and people often have a difficult time doing my hair. Since I’ve been going to Akilah, my hair has been at it’s healthiest, and I always walk out with a smile. Most importantly, she is not «scissor happy». She listens to what you want to do with your hair and works it out. I would recommend Akilah to anyone!
