Terrible excuse for Italian food. Went out to eat here and had a pasta dish, the pasta and sauce didn’t taste authentic. My husband didn’t like his dish either. Save your money on this place.

This time around I ordered their meatball parm hero and a slice of buffalo. The pizza on its own I would rate average, but we are in New York where the vast majority are a disaster so I’d consider it good pizza, reminds me of a slice I’d get walking in Manhattan. The meatball parm was fantastic, I’m glad they went a little bit more reserved with the sauce instead of dowsing it. The meatballs were nice and soft and perfectly seasoned, really gave me a grandmas cooking vibe. Not EXACTLY there but definitely close. Pricing is what most people consider expensive, but look at most pizza shops and then come back, I was content. Overall it’s a nice little pizza shop with a sparkle, I think it’s a place I could see myself at 2 am on a mission or just to pick up lunch, I’d say keep doing what you’re doing.

«Excellent Italian food in Northport» After moving into the Northport area and trying many italians restaurants, this is one of the best, small, cozy, and home made Italian restaurants, best Rigatone Fiorentina… need to try it. No more fancy and expensive places for me… Keep it up

Lost a customer. Worst customer service, from the owner no less. It’s a shame have been a loyal customer for years. Taking my business down the road! Gino’s, you won’t see me ever again… Your kiss… Period.

used to be my go to pizza place in northport until mama mia’s popped up, now i can’t even remember what i enjoyed about ginos. i decided to try their«baked ziti» and wow… what a disaster. first of all, it wasn’t even baked. it was literally soggy pasta drenched in watery pasta sauce with slices of mozzarella slapped on top, it looked so disgusting, how could they think selling that to a customer was okay? … i did not even eat it after i took the first bite. high school cafeteria quality at best, save your money or at least go to mama mia’s for some real baked ziti.

There is a lot of competition around Northport for the best slice, but I’m going to have to give the award to Gino’s. The regular slice is in fact what one reviewer called a «better than sex» slice of pizza. This is the place I would show to out-of-staters to show them how good we have it here. Quite possibly the best slice I’ve ever had.

I ordered a grandma pie and pasta fagioli, the grandma pie was decent, but simple. Crust was thick which was odd definitely not special. The pasta fagioli had almost no broth and wasn’t what I expected having had pasta fagioli several times in several places. I think what turns me off the most though is a rude attitude. They have never been pleasant when answering, and delivery times being an hour an a half at 2pm is odd. I’m going to stick with a new pizzeria in the neighborhood.

Ate there today at 4pm; got a white slice. It’s almost 3am and I’m still recovering from eating this pathetic excuse for pizza with free, massive stomach cramps. Save yourself; do not eat here.

My family thinks Gino’s is great. It’s our go to spot for pizza right now. We’ve tried the chicken parmesan and meatball heroes which were very good. Calzones and the panini were ok. Delivery is usually fast and orders are correct.

Pizza is deceptively simple. It’s insidious. People think it’s incredibly easy or a no-brainer to make a slice of pizza. However, it is actually very easy to screw up. It’s so basic that you need to have an excellent combination of sauce, crust and cooking times. Anyone can make a decent specialty pie as long as their ingredients are flavorful. You can cover up almost anything in fancy dressings or barbecue sauce. But to take three ingredients like bread, cheese and sauce, and make it taste great is actually not that simple. Gino’s gets it right. I went here on the recommendation of a normally drunk friend whose judgment is generally suspect. This time however he did not steer me wrong. The slices I had for lunch today were absolutely perfect. The crust was golden brown and crispy and not too thick. The plentiful cheese was melted into the sauce. And, the one ingredient I rarely mention, the olive oil, was in the exact perfect quantities. This was a mouthwatering couple of slices. This was«better than sex» pizza. The kind that makes you want to get two more slices immediately after you’ve finished your previous two. I am only giving them three stars because I have only been here one time. If the next two meals are as good, they will earn more stars. Please ignore the negative reviews about Gino’s. They are, so far, superb. Update: I’ve since been back twice and they have indeed earned another star. These guys are the shizzle.

It took a hour and a half to get pizza and pin wheels I’m usually not this guy but dude then the delivery guy showed up with half my order I called to let them know it was useless I can’t even give one star cause when the rest of the order finally made it it was stale and burnt and cold definly a horrible experience I have to give at least one star for the buffalo pin wheels

Gino’s is, in my opinion, one of the better pizza places in Northport/East Northport. Their pizza is well constructed and tastes very good, and they have a very nice crust. They also have fine calzones and pasta, but I really enjoy their chicken parm slice, very well done. They have a nice atmosphere in there if you want to sit down, but more often than not I like to take out. Staff is friendly and attentive and the prices are fine. Definitely one of the better pizza places in the area, and one of the better ones down near the village.

Plain Slice — Tastes so identical to the various 99 cent pizza places around NYC. Thin crust with cheese and minimal sauce. I doubt I may be able to distinguish them in a blind taste test. Chicken Bacon Ranch — What is that hefty looking pizza slice over there? Oh the equivalent of Subway’s infamous footlong sandwich all in a pizza form, so it can’t be that bad messing up those key ingredients right? Well I’ll say the slice certainly does not skimp on the chicken and bacon toppings, but the taste wasn’t anything special for me. Not addicting enough to keep me coming back and ordering it again. If I’m craving pizza again in this area and desperate, maybe I’ll give Gino’s another shot.

You can judge a pizza place by many things: the sauce, the cheese, is it cooked too well done… But the one thing that I always judge a pizza place by is their buffalo slice. Gino’s blows away its competition 100%. The veggie pizza is superb as well. Prices are also more than fair, which is a rarity these days!!!

Gino’s offers gluten free pizza and pasta — extra star for great offerings and sensitivity to food allergies! Check their website for daily pizza and pasta specials. Gino’s Special was a hearty pizza with sliced meatballs, pepperoni, peppers, fresh mushrooms, onions, black olives, and extra cheese. The square slices were huge and piled high with toppings. A good option for all you meat lovers! Bianca pizza was a delicious white pizza with garlic, olive oil, Romano cheese, and seasoned ricotta cheese. The«specialty pies» are a little pricey($ 17-$ 23) for 8 slices, but they were huge slices that required two hands and they were quite filling. Delicious pizza and fresh hand tossed pizza dough that just can’t be matched by any of those other pizza chains. While you’re in Northport, try Gino’s and forgettabout those other guys!

Pizza wasnt terrible. Hero was okay. However, the staff at the counter was horrible. Both of my two visits I inquired about the menu. The first time I was told to go across the street to McDonalds. The second time, to the deli next door. I will not go again. Thanks for giving me the heads up on the deli, their hero was much better in quality, quantity and price!

Pretty mediocre vegetable pizza. The pizza sauce just has no flavor, no tarteness. Quite disappointing, but seating is decent and at least there’s a starbucks next door…

Sopped with my son for dinner. We were greeted at the door by a hostess who was pleasant and showed us to a table. Our waiter was a little overly attentive, but the food was good, hot and delivered in an efficient manner. The pasta fagioli soup was very fresh and well seasoned, but was actually way too hot to eat when it was delivered. That, of course, beats the alternative, which is COLD. My son had a chicken wrap and he loved it.
