We rented a 5×9″ space from mid-July to the beginning of October, and our experience was the best! I’ve rented spaces from other facilities, but Uncle Bob’s was the most convenient and reassuring. First, Roberta L. the manager was so helpful, friendly and meticulous. She explained everything clearly in our initial meeting and was gracious at the end when I vacated the space. I had accidentally paid for the last month online, but Roberta was able to vacate me that day at the store, and reassured me that the corporate office would be able to take care of any undue overages. I felt that she was on my side and this was really helpful. As far as the facility goes, it was temperature controlled and SPOTLESSLYCLEAN and the drive-in parking and unloading was awesome – on one occasion I had to move things in during a rainstorm and this made it so easy. I also appreciated that the facility is not open at all hours for security reasons and I was easily able to work visits around my schedule. I would highly recommend Uncle Bob’s in Northfield, IL! A very good value for the price.

No problems so far. I have not experience any negative behavior from management, on the contrary she has been friendly and helpful. Pretty simple setup for loading and unloading your items. I usually go on weekdays in the middle of the day to try to avoid any crowds and it has worked for me so far.

This is a bright, new and clean facility for storage. Management is unfriendly which makes it an unpleasant experience to visit your unit. Typically there is a sign on the door stating there is no employee on the premises(which is fine, you don’t need to interact with anyone to drop off or pick up from storage). However, at every visit the site manager appears out of nowhere to snap at you about a rule you are breaking(i.e. holding the door open for too long while unloading). There is no reason to be rude to customers, a simple«hello» and more politely worded requests would go a long way. We bristle every time we go in. But, our items seem secure and it is clean and reasonably convenient.
