What a find! Nine people served in a flash with unique delicious food. Can’t wait return.

Back in Nj for a visit with my family and came across The Spot. What an experience. I will NEVEREVER return to this place. Not only was the service absolutely horrendous, the food was cold and I found a piece of plastic in my food! When I finally got the servers attention to tell them about this, their response was«we are busy». I got the manager /owner and their response was«it happens. We are busy». What kind of response is that?!? Horrible customer service. Just the absolute worst restaurant experience. Never never ever go to this place. EVER.

This spot hits the spot. Great food with both vegetarian and vegan options, served in a luncheonette atmosphere. The service was good but got a bit less attentive on the backend. This place can easily be a five star, with a bit of work… A quality interior designer and an expert in hospitality, could easily enhance the overall experience. Nonetheless, I am coming back!

Came here from Unilocal reviews. Atmosphere was nice, open mic night was ok, the food was good. When the bill came I had sticker shock. 3 Sandwiches a basket of Fries and three drinks…$ 50.00! The same exact food could be found across the street at Friendlies for about 26.00 all together, plus Ice cream. I would return for those unique drinks and nice atmosphere but skip the meal if you don’t want to have to take out a small loan.

Best food around for every eater, especially vegans or vegetarians. The staff is enthusiastic but not very attentive. I don’t mind waiting an extra 5 – 10 minutes for my water or check but if you do, expect that. The food is amazing though so if you are indecisive on what to eat this is the place!!! Or-The Spot!

We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We drink tea, not coffee. Asked for breakfast tea also known as real tea. Our server brought a basket of herbal«tea», no caffeine in those. We again requested tea. Ten minutes later she came back, pointed to the basket and said“this is tea”. Bad attitude. Oh and they don’t serve pancakes. We left. This may not seem big but for tea drinkers, it’s like saying they don’t coffee. Ridiculous

Excellent food, excellent beverages, great service overall! There is something for everyone on their menu, from meat lovers to vegetarians/vegans. The cauliflower soup is quite hearty and could be a meal in itself, and it is just so delicious! The quinoa quesadilla is definitely one to try, it’s like no other quesadilla I’ve tried before. Besides the quinoa, it comes with melted cheese and roasted peppers stuffed inside of a black bean flour tortilla. It is wonderful! Lastly, the blackberry ginger lemonade is to die for!

While my car was getting an oil change I stopped in for breakfast. I had been here before a year or so ago and was not impressed. Today I was… coffee was excellent, my pet peeve POTATOES. .GREATJOB! Service was great and«I’ll be back.» The real test is a weekend breakfast… we will see.

The Infused cranberry elixir was amazing. I always get the strawberry lemonade but I was in the mood for something different and this hit«The Spot». This along with the shrimp avocado burrow was an awesome lunch on the go. The prices are right and the food is good. I’ve had no complaints with them. Only thing. My husband says the bun needs to be thinner on the burgers.

This place is incredible! One of the biggest menus I have ever seen, tons of great flavor combinations. It’s super clean, and the staff is crazy friendly. I loved my veggie dinner, eggplant, peppers, rich, falafel and goat cheese covered in a honey glaze wow!!! Talk about a flavor party The drink menu is extensive as well, everything comes in mason jars too. Also, the thrift store across the parking lot is bad ass.

Very nice, casual and quiet place in the evening– in fact we were only customers :) Nice and friendly stuff. Lots of good vegetarian options. Basmati lamb wrap from specials menu was my boyfriend’s favorite. I personally loved golden goat spinach salad with some goat cheese and extra added avocado. good healthy restaurant around here ! pS: only down part– tap water they bring isn’t tasting very good. Baklava desert was epic!

A very nice little unassuming place in a strip mall with a very organic feel to it. The feel good salad was very tasty and the berry almond salad was huge. Bang for the buck and quality hit the mark here. Found a place I’ll be going back to!

I love this place. What makes them unique is very fresh ingredients. While they have unhealthy options like French fries they also have lighter healthful items like my favorite the Feel Good. Deconstructed guacamole with quinoa and upon request pita. Also have to add. The wait staff is great. Always happy, helpful and they seem to be consistent so know the food etc.

The menu is unique and the ingredients are fresh. All the speciality drinks are amazing as well! It’s made with real fresh ingredients that can be physically seen in the jar. It comes in a mason jar(most of them). The staff has always been nice since I’ve been there. The menu presents itself as healthy & tasty — & it does the job! The taste is great and you feel great afterwards(not too oily, greasy, fatty). I recommend the lettuce wraps & the quesadillas!

Dropped by The Spot for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Very cute space. You seat yourself. There’s only one restroom which wouldn’t be ideal for a packed restaurant, but I guess that’s okay bc they use thick high quality toilet paper. :p There are two menus: a special’s menu and their regular menu. There are a lot of ethnically diverse items and healthy choices including beans, quinoa, kale, and kimchi! My kind of restaurant. I wanted to order their goji berry lemonade elixir, but they were sold out. Bummer :( From looking around at the other tables, the food comes out pretty quick and the customers look happy with the choices they’ve made. The smells from their plates were intoxicating. I ordered: Golden Lamb Salad — which consists of spring mix, housemade Greek vinaigrette, basmati rice, beets, onions, feta, pickled cucumbers, marinated lamb and pita. One word: WOW. For a salad that costs $ 15.50 I am not mad at all. The bowl was filled with spring mix. It better be for the cost hehe. This mama was definitely craving her veggies. I typically stay away from lamb bc of its gaminess, but for some reason I couldn’t resist ordering it today. I am so happy I ordered this dish. Nice amount of lamb and it was grilled perfectly and seasoned just right with onions and garlic. YUM! Everything complimented each other so well. The feta was mild with a slight tang, not too salty or overwhelming at all. The housemade cucumber pickles were perfectly balanced and not overpoweringly tangy. DELISH. I killed this salad and I am not bursting at the seams at all. I was planning on packing half or so togo, but I said to hell with that and enjoyed the whole damn thing! :) The Spot definitely hit the spot today and I am so happy I dropped by on a whim for lunch. I will absolutely bring my hubby next time with me. Bravo!

The spot is the spot. Plain and simple. The waitresses are friendly. The counter girl is helpful but I come for the food and it is always on point! Fresh fresh fresh. I cannot be more grateful for a local business that does fresh food. It’s a perfect spot for vegans/vegetarians along with your meat eaters. If you want to do lunch/dinner and have friends that are on a health kick. Come here. It makes all the bellies happy! I go crazy for their elixirs and neither of them disappoint. Their food is always fresh and always good. It’s my go to spot after a workout or when I just want some quinoa made right. I gave it 4 stars because on a few occasions I’ve been there to order take out one of the waitresses seem very uninterested and pushy. Other than that it’s all good. Like I said, the spot is my spot and I’ll always be coming here.

Came for take out during lunch a couple times and I’ll definitely try to come back to sit down to eat. They just expanded their restaurant and now they have new tables that can accommodate bigger groups. From the little interaction I had, they seem like nice and enthusiastic people, who are happy to work there. Their food is pretty good. The quinoa quesadilla is currently my favorite, because of the healthy, refreshing, and yet filling feeling I have after. The BBQ turkey monterrey quesadilla is also very good as well. The only items on the menu that I have tried that are a miss are the wonton appetizers. The chicken in the wonton looked/tasted like baby food paste. My coworkers couldn’t even swallow the wonton bite. The sweet potato wonton was not too bad, especially in the coconut milk sauce they gave us. But please fry the wonton up a little more to give more of a crisp! I tried their elixir, which is amazingly refreshing and good. The cactus elixir, the only one I have tried, has ginger and mints inside. LOVE it! But I am sure the others taste just as refreshing. A plus is that it comes in a huge mason jar(that you can take home when ordered it as take out). I’ll definitely be coming back again to try other items on the menu, but again, I would steer away from chicken-pasted wontons.

Late lunch really hit the spot! Delightful homemade soups– we enjoyed the Potato Leek and Pumpkin Chipotle Cheese immensely. Both were rich and delicious– the bowls were enough for us to finish with just the Big Dipper and amazing hand cut shoe string fries… the Big Dipper is their unique hummus using eggplant and black beans — not traditional but refreshing with a hot pita for dipping. If we lived nearby I would love to sample the many other unique menu items and applaud the owners on fresh, healthy choices! We had exceptional service from Nicole who was very welcoming with a contagious smile.

I must admit I wasn’t thrilled to go to Mays Landing for a visit with family, mostly because Mays Landing isn’t known for amazing cuisine. That won’t stop me from trying to find one though. Let’s start with the good stuff. The one thing that caught my eye was the banana stuffed challah french toast. This was the most delicious dish I tried in Jersey so far. Definite must try!!! I think it’s deep fried for a bit. cuz it’s got a nice crunch. The sweet bananas and sticky sauce make this combo a perfect start to any day! I ordered my son pancakes with bananas. Another good one, but not nearly has sexy as banana stuffed challah french toast, my holy grail! They’ve also got some truly unique drinks that come in mason jars. You can pay a bit more to take them home as a to go drink. I personally didn’t try any because I was sick. Naturally, I ordered some hot water and added honey and to soothe my sore throat. My two children also had a cough, thus I ordered two more hot waters. However, for some crazy reason, they charged me as ordering three teas! I guess hot water and a bit of honey costs $ 6!!! I always order hot water at restaurants, purely because I think it helps digest fatty foods. Never in my life, have I ever been charged for my hot waters!!! That alone was a big turn off for me. I had to take off a star for that. The next star had to be removed because I also ordered a scallop dish that costs a whopping 16.00 for 3 measly scallops that tasted a bit old. Lesson learned. Don’t go to an obvious breakfast lunch café and order scallops! Service was good. Our waitress was bouncing off walls trying to keep everyone happy and served. She was so nice that I just couldn’t complain about being charged for tea when I never got any, not my bad scallops. Maybe if she wasn’t sweet, I could be honest?
