Giant Eagle

Every time we shop there it takes longer to check out than it does to shop! The pharmacy: 30 day prescriptions take 32 days this is after waiting 30 minutes for them to tell us this. Never dealing with this pharmacy again.

Good location, could use someone to monitor parking lot. I’ve been nearly ran over multiple timeS. Good food, selection has been improving. I would love to see them add Ballreichs potato chips. Pretty please?

I knew I should have asked for fresh Colby at the deli, but I didn’t and was given it from the case, the ends are discolored and a bit dry and the taste is not fresh. The prices here are too high throughout the store. I stopped for my weekly grocery shopping hoping they had all that I wanted since Walmart’s produce is not very good quality and Marc’s has no fresh bread/​bakery which normally each week I sacrifice one or the other to achieve one stop shopping. I’ll continue my weekly shopping between those two from now on. If Marc’s would have a bakery, a real one with just made bread/​rolls available then I think I would never stray.

Overall: A small to mid sized supermarket with the usual selection, but the prices are way too high.
Pricing: 2 stars. The prices are oddly high. They are consistently 30% above Walmart for the same items. I don’t mind paying more to not have to go into a Walmart, but they are priced way too high. $ 3 for celery?
Selection: 3 stars. They have all the typical food you’d expect at a grocery store. Nothing too great or out of the ordinary.
Service: 3 stars. I’ve had a few good cashiers, but it’s hard to find anyone when you’re in the aisles.

This place is way too dang expensive for the quality offered. Wal Mart has better produce for much cheaper. They may as well start a candle company with how much wax is on the dang apples.
The deli lady forced me to buy some gross swiss cheese that I didn’t want. I am bitter.
Check out is super slow oftentimes.
They do have 2 Red Boxes though. Their saving grace.

They are too cheap to pay people to work the cash registers so there are always veryyyyy long lines. Prices are high too, you can find better deals at Heinen’s if you shop the sales.

I like this Giant Eagle location but it is so hard to deal with the parking lot. I don’t know how many times I have nearly been run over!
The store itself is newer and very clean. I have always had a positive experience with the employees, they seem to like their jobs and it shows.

Good Soups, Good Sushi. OK store. Needs more space to line up at there lack of attended checkout lines.
One complaint: Cheese. How does any cheese the size of a kiwi cost 5 bucks? The cheeses are great, but I can’t see spending 2.50 a bite. Then you get your «golden» cheese home, it taste great except also taste like the plastic it’s wrapped in. Shouldn’t eat that much cheese anyway… locks me up. ok TMI.

This Giant Eagle is a very nice one. It was opened about a year or a year and a half ago, so it looks very new on the inside. It is very clean and just looks above what other grocery stores look like. They have their own brand of upscale food, called Market District, that provides great food. At this location, there is an Iggle Video and a child care facility for when the parents are shopping and want something for their little ones to do. There are also self checkout lines, which I can’ t stand. They are way too hard to use. Just go to the normal checkout lines. The fuelperks at Giant Eagle are great. You get 10 cents off a gallon for every $ 50 you spend, and when you want to redeem the collected fuelperks, you go to a GetGo station, of which there is one two minutes from this store. There is also a huge collection of gift cards for various businesses, which you can buy and get fuelperks for. Overall, Giant Eagle is a great store and I recommend shopping at one if you are somewhat near one.
