Club Champion

I am upating my first less than stellar review: After my first vist, I was pretty disappointed with what I felt was some pretty outrageous pricing. I had felt a little misled, because I thought we were simply going to tweak my current almost brand new clubs, not build new ones. I returned to the store a couple of weeks later after a friend explained to me that the quoted prices were pretty standard for custom fitting. I was still experiencing some sticker shock! I met with Tim N. again, and I agreed to move forward with just a few new irons to prove to myself that a personal fitting was worth the money. The clubs worked out fantastic and added another 10+ yards to every shot, with more control. I eventually ordered the remainder of my irons. The compromise with just the irons, no wedges or woods, worked out well for my budget. Tim was very helpful and professional and accepted my decision without putting on a full court press for me to buy a complete new set. His knowledge of matching equipment with swing was exceptional.
If you are looking for a custom fitting you should go in with your eyes wide open that it is not an inexpensive excercise. My six irons were about the price of a whole off-​the-​shelf set. Don’t go in like I did initially thinking you are hitting the local Golf Galaxy. I am very pleased with the results and it really improved my game, which is ultimately what I wanted all along. If this is what you are looking for, Club Champion is the way to go.

Let me first begin by saying that I am not a scratch golfer, and was initially concerned that a custom club fitting at Club Champion would only truly benefit those that are. Boy was I wrong! After going through a full bag fitting (driver, woods, irons, and putter) at Club Champion, I can honestly say that I will never go anywhere else. I was amazed at the level of detail my fitter (Joe Jung) went into for each club — he switched out shaft and head combinations at will to find the club with the perfect length, flex, and weight distribution for my golf swing. I think this is a key point — Joe matched the club to my swing, he didn’t try to change my already developed swing to match the club. By the end of the fitting session, not only were my shots consistently straight but the ball was also carrying much further (+12−15 yards for irons and +20−25 yards for driver). These clubs will certainly lower my golf scores! Club Champion uses the Trackman technology for their fitting sessions, which is exactly what the pros on the PGA tour use. For all you golfers out there, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND visiting Club Champion and getting a set of clubs custom fit and built just for your swing.
