If you’re not interested in selling your car yourself, take it to this place. I’ve spoken to both owners, and they’re extremely nice and honest people. Ed worked with me on buying my car and gave me a bit more than Car Max. Took less than 30 minutes. Charming establishment they run and worth driving from Chicago to Northbrook to do it. My wife was out of town to give me a ride after the sale, so Ed offered to give me a ride to the train station. First class. Thank you.

We had a much loved vehicle that we decided to sell and considered our options including Craig’s List, Carmax, and Wheels of Chicagoland. We quickly ruled out Craig’s List and that left Carmax and Wheels of Chicagoland. We decided to give Wheels of Chicagoland a call and we were very glad that we did. I spoke with Jeff over the phone and made an appointment that was convenient for us. Ed met with us and we had a wonderful meeting and transaction. Our meeting was very pleasant and Ed made us a very fair offer that we accepted without haggling.

Will never go again. Tried to sell my car and received 50% more at car max on Skokie blvd. Since then have sold two more cars at Car max.

Sold my 10 year old Pontiac to Wheels of Chicagoland this past month. They exceeded my expectations in terms of service, graciousness, and getting the value I expected to out of my car. The entire transaction took 20 minutes.

Wheels of Chicagoland is the only way to go when selling a used car. I imagine buying a used car would be as pleasant as selling one, but we haven’t had the opportunity to do that. Ed and Jeff are fantastic to work with and it is always a painless experience. They have been in business for years and treat their customers like friends. Their prices are always better than Carmax. They are a pleasure in every possible way and I would highly recommend them.

Time to sell our van that we hand’t used in a while. Heard about Wheels of Chicagoland via WGN-​Radio, so I made an appointment. Except for a heart attack when stopped by a very nice policeman (expired plates) while on my way to meet Ed at Wheels, everything went smoothly.
Ed thoroughly looked over the van and took it for a ride, then gave me a fair appraisal and offer. After a little haggling, we shook hands and I was on my way with a check.
A terrific experience. I wish I had more cars to sell just so I could do business again with Ed!

Wow. First impressions are always big and these guys nailed it. We had an SUV that was about ten years old and we had recommendations from friends to take it to Carmax. So we did. Never again. Terrible, but that is another review.
Jeff and Ed were very professional, very inviting and handled business the way it should be handled, hiding nothing, explaining the details, and treating you with respect. Their offer was 100% better than the offer we received from Carmax.
The best part was that we sat down and while Jeff inspected the car Ed was leading the conversation with insightful opinions as we jumped from topic to topic. It was like sitting down with friends you have known for decades. These two are a class act all around and I would suggest them to anyone looking to sell their car. To top things off Jeff gave us a ride to the Metra stop so we didn’t have to walk in the rain. The little things go a long way in doing business. These guys are awesome.
Their office is a little hidden among other offices but it is not hard to find. The process took about 30 minutes although we were talking for longer after the process was over.

If you have a car to sell I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Wheels of Chicagoland. The process was so EASY I couldn’t believe it!

So I had this car. I loved this car but as a city dweller rather a useless thing. After much debate attempted to sell it. Trying to sell privately was a nightmare! I was half expecting to get murdered (I watch entirely too much Criminal minds).
So I decided to take it to Carmax, here is a tip Carmax, I don’t need a powerpoint on how you came up with the offer. it was too damn low and you aren’t willing to work with me? Back off!
So I took the car to Wheels of Chicagoland. It was a much better experience. Ed looked over my car, explained why he was offering what he was and made the process all in all very simple.
