With all the companies that come and go these days, its nice to not only find a small creative business with some serious longevity but one that actually treasures the work which they create for clients enough to save their own copies(even though I had little expectation that they would.) After losing some work done 23 years earlier, Earle provided not only a replacement copy, but instead of providing it on the original VHS tape, converted the original Super VHS master(which was apparently about twice the quality of regular VHS) and make a DVD that looked much better. This kind of attention to detail and service takes Chicago Videoworks above and beyond.

We were extremely pleased with Chicago Videoworks(Earle) and the quality of our wedding video. I know some people skip a videographer for their wedding because they don’t think they need both a video and still pictures but I think that would’ve been a huge mistake! I believe it is our most treasured piece of memorablia from our big day. Earle presented our day beautifully. I love watching the dynamics between all of friends and family that could only be captured in a video. Earle customized everything with the music of our choice, sepia was integrated to add a nostalgic feeling, the final«montage» really captures the essence of the day/night. It still brings tears to our eyes, 7 years later! Our 4 year old son is obsessed with our wedding video and likes to believe he was there! He wasn’t born for another 2 years. He has even said that he wants to get married soon because our wedding was so beautiful! You will NOT be disappointed with their work. And one other great thing was that the moments that were chosen for our video were so genuine because Earle was so «ninja like» that we barely noticed when he was taping us so he caught some very touching moments. To any of you out there looking for someone great to capture a special day or moment, Earle is your man!

My husband and I hired this company(and Earle) for our June wedding, only because they were the only videographers allowed in Old St. Pat’s church in Chicago where we were married. I would have been better off having my mom video tape the day. From the get go, we had a lot of problems communicating —- seemed to be more«confusion» on their end as to where, when, what time, etc. We had to keep calling back and forth the day before to clarify everything. On the day of, I saw Earle for a flash of a second as I walked down the isle, but never saw him again. We were left with an assistant all day. After about a month, we received our wedding video, supposedly edited, but it was a 2-hour long, boring, video with depressing, funeral music and clearly no effort was put into making it a fun video. It was strictly chronological from beginning to end without any artistic touches. We were not allowed to choose any music for the video. When we told him we were unhappy, he wanted us to actually do the editing ourselves and pay extra to re-do it. I didn’t pay over $ 3500 to sit down and re-watch that awful 2 hour video, write down every minute down to the second that we want cut, and then re-submit everything we want in our wedding video. I would really like my money back and I’ll take these DVDs to someone else who knows what they’re doing. Zero stars If I could.

We used Earle for our wedding videography and it was the best vendor choice we made of the whole wedding. He’s a bit pricey, but worth every penny. My husband and I still well up every time we watch our video again.
