The Little Coffee Bean

This place has been going down hill for a while now, and just recently it’s been accelerating. It used to be run by some older women, now it’s all kids. I had to read off the «Specials» board to tell the kid how to make their sandwich! They didn’t use mustard in their potato salad, and they used to have the best potato salad around. I will not be eating here anymore.

I absolutely LOVE this place for breakfast and lunch. If you want quality, look no further. I’m a picky eater and if I’m disappointed, its known. This place deserves 6 stars in my opinion.

Don’t get me wrong I love options especially when it comes to flavored coffee but The Little Coffee Bean is way over priced for what it is. It’s good coffee but it’s served in mini cups, you have to get an extra large to compensate. Iced coffee is jammed with ice, almost no coffee. I paid $ 4.50 the other day for a medium. Plus, it’s cash only so I’ll take a pass… that’s inconvenient!

This place is ok. Their breakfast sandwiches are decent, and their selection of coffee flavors is interesting. But our favorite employee isn’t working there anymore, and every time we go in there the girls/​guys behind the counter are gossiping loudly and in general, just don’t give the place a good vibe. And their baked goods are always very slim — I know it’s good for the business to not have a lot of excess food to throw out, but it seems to be the consensus that baking a couple dozen more bagels/​muffins would only help to serve the customer that come in later.

I’ve visited here twice & both times walked out empty handed. The first time they were sold out of bagels at 10:30 am stating «it happens frequently.» If so, wouldn’t you think to place a bigger order to last further into business hours?
Today took the cake. I went in around 9:30 am to get a bagel. As the man behind the counter was helping me (I was asking what an Indian Harvest & marble bagel were since once again there were slim pickings) he answered the phone. I decided on a chocolate chip bagel & was waiting for him to continue helping me so I could order when he took the last 2 & bagged them. I told him that’s what I was going to get & he said, «sorry they called for it to be put on hold» & started laughing. He interrupted helping a customer in line to answer the phone & placed aside the product I was about to order.
I will not be giving this business another chance, especially after today with their disgrace of what they consider customer service. By the way, the coffee is only okay (my boyfriend’s two cents).

Best coffee ever! I look forward to coming home from college because I can get this fantastic iced coffee. It’s great hot, too, and they have the best sandwiches around. Also there are coffee flavors you can’t get anywhere else, like Cinnamon Sticky Bun!
