Had never particularly been fond of tabouleh… until I came across Lil M’s Mart — it was love upon first bite. Super fresh parsley, light and fluffy bulgur, perfect level of lemon-y acidity, not at all soggy. The other items I’ve tried from the cold deli were for the most part quite good, notably the fava bean salad and chicken shawarma. For a very reasonable $ 8 – 9, you can get a heaping combo plate(or to-go box) of your choice of 4 items from the deli. As for the less-than-good, the falafel was rather disappointing in both flavor and texture, as was the pita in which it was served(cold, not hot and crispy as I prefer). Also, their version of kibbeh seems to be just ground beef, swimming in oil and extremely salty. Besides the deli/café, the shop contains a sizeable selection of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern products(many imported from abroad) that you probably wouldn’t find at typical grocery stores/supermarkets.

The food is freshly made and their falafels are soft! What more could you ask for? We’ve tried lots of falafels all over the country and it’s so exciting to find some of the bext ones in our own backyard. Aside from their falafels, we also love their lentil soup, chicken shawarma wraps, and bean salad — we go at least once a month if not more frequently. We’ve catered from them before as well and had two large trays of falafels and a large order of the bean salad — the falafels were warm when we got them and still soft/moist — delicious! We ate the bean salad for days afterwards(since we got so much!) and it was just as delicious several days later as when it was freshly made! The owners are also wonderful people who know us by name now and always ask us how our family is doing. Overall, we definitely recommend this place to others, so if you haven’t checked it out yet, definitely do so!

It is a small family owned place however i disnot have the best experience. I went in craving for falafels. They just sell falafels with no sauce(they don’t have any hot sauce). Tbe falafels itself were cold, slightly greasy and had no herbs what so ever. The owner was pretty rude that I didnot purchase hummus to eat with the falafel. Usually Good falafels don’t need it.

Just stopped here for lunch break and picked up some tabbouleh and beef shwarma. Both were amazing. That has to be some of the best tabbouleh I’ve ever had. The owner is super friendly and pleasant. I’m upset that I went to an upscale restaurant last week that serves these dishes for almost three times the price and tabbouleh and shwarma here was so much better. Definitely coming back here again!

My first time here — I LOVE Middle Eastern food and was thrilled to find this place. I had the chicken shawarma sandwich and it was totally different from others I’ve had, it reminded me more of a fatoush salad in a wrap with cold chicken… it was delicious, just different from what I expected(most of the others I’ve had are hot chicken with hummus and feta cheese). I am looking forward to trying some of their other items and will definitely be a repeat customer!

Everyone in our family lives the fresh and delicious Middle Eastern food at Lil M’s. Whether you eat there or take out, you will love the wrap sandsiches, salads and specialty dishes. I personally love the felafel sandwiches, carefully prepared to your taste. Our daughter loves the bean sald, while my wife’s favorite is the tabbouleh and grape leaves. We discovered this treasure many years ago. We have eaten middle eastern food in many places, including in the MidEast. This is among the best. I highly recommend that you go by, meet the owners, Alia and Mochson and enjoy.

Odd place, but fantastic hummus and tabbouleh. Dolmas were good, and falafel was okay. Great place to buy bulk and to go, plus many grocery items.

I had heard about Lil M’s a few months ago and I am so upset I waited so long to go in!!! The food is absolutely amazing, so flavorful and most importantly, fresh. The owner Mohsen is so friendly and kind, he makes the best falafel sandwich in the world… seriously. Their tabouli is so flavorful and perfectly balanced. This place is absolutely amazing!!!

Great little spot in Northborough! A few people had mentioned the falafel, so I had to try it out for myself. It’s actually a market where you cna buy Middle Eastern specialties and food. They also have a deli counter where they sell olives, some salads, and can make sandwiches. The falafel was hands down the best I’ve ever had and had a nice spicy kick to it. I bought some olivces for home and they were delicious. The owner was very personable and we had a great conversation. Highly recommended!

So good. Hummus, babaganoush, tabbouleh — all delish and so fresh. I’m a big fan of middle Eastern food and this did not disappoint. Also came home with some zaatar seasoning, walnut cookies, plenty of Syrian bread and feta(little sharper/saltier than I prefer but fetas vary widely so that’s just personal taste). Will be in our lunch rotation whenever we’re in the area wasting our lives away at kohls. As many others mentioned, the owner is super friendly and welcoming.

We love this place. We have been going here for the last 12 years and I have to say the food, the service is excellent. Like other reviewers have said, the owner is super-friendly and even greets us when we meet him outside at a grocery store. The falafel and chicken shawarma sandwich are awesome. He makes it nice and spicy. Really spicy if you it that way. The grocery items are good too. It’s a great lunch place — you can sit down and relax and eat. I encourage all to support this local gem. Family owned and run — this is the kind of place we should support.

Oh. My. God. This place is absolutely fantastically amazing. I found them here on Unilocal and decided to try them. It is a cute little establishment half store half food. They have a wonderful selection of spices, teas, coffees and other wonderful ethnic items. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Shwarma sandwich, with Tabbouleh salad. When I got up to the register after perusing their wares the lady said they were on Facebook and I said do found them on Unilocal. She was so happy. Those two were super nice to me. She gave me a small sample canister of their fava bean salad. Which I had never tried. Now I get back to the office and the first bite was heaven. Literally. The sandwich was perfect, meat tender, just the right amount of kick and perfect flavor. The Tabbouleh was fresh and lovely. And for trying the fava bean salad for the first time. I was enthused by the flavor. I love middle eastern food, I have friends who make it homemade and it’s wonderful but this place is fantastic. I recommend them to anyone. I would drive the distance too if I wasn’t at work. I am going to feature them my blog as well that is how much they impressed me.

This place isn’t much to look at, basically just a convenience store with some tables. The guy who I assume is the owner is super friendly. I got the falafel and asked for it spicy. My biggest complaint with falafel usually is that they didn’t put enough sauce on it. Not the case here, and it was actually spicy! The falafel itself wasn’t super flavorful(and reheated in a microwave), but the sauce and overall sandwich flavor covered that up pretty well. Maybe 3.5 stars? If you work in the area, this place should be in your lunch rotation

After reading all the Unilocal reviews, I thought why not check this place out. When I entered the store, the first impression was really? Is this the place which everyone is raving about. Anyway I thought now that I am here lets order the food. So I got chiecken shawrma, hummus, tabouli and some other stuff which I cant even pronounce or spell but it had chickpeas in it. The food way unbelievavble, really really tasty everything was extremely flavorful my whole family loved the food. They also have some interesting Egyptian paintings(hand made) which I am planning to get next time when I visit. All in all 5 star and this place really is a hidden gem, they just came on the list of Zabihah which is sad as these folks have been around for 20 years. For those of you who are wondering if they are halal or not, answer is they do serve halal food.

Really great place and a hidden gem. Lil M’s is kind of inconspicuous in a strip mall in Northborough and you probably wouldn’t even know they have Middle Eastern cuisine(the wording is small from the road) unless someone told you, which is how I heard. Because they don’t have a webpage(but they do have a Facebook page), I went into Lil M’s to obtain a menu. The tables in front are a little dated and had a bit of trash on them, but the store itself was well-presented and the owner was nice. They had a variety of Middle Eastern salads displayed and I chose to get a bean salad with fava beans and tabouleh salad. In addition to specialty foods and ingredients, the store also had a typical selection of chips and drinks. When I returned home later with the salads, they were delicious and light. Nicely priced, too. Later that evening, my friend picked up sandwiches and grape leaves for my family for a town concert. I had the chicken shawarma sandwich and it was spicy, but completely delicious. I could eat this all the time! The grape leaves were good and fyi, they were only available towards dinnertime that day. I’ve found the missing link in my quick-service food rotation(well, except for Cajun food) in Lil M’s. Middle Eastern food is really delicious and a nice change for the Central Massachusetts area.

Total gem in the middle of Northborough. Was recommended to us by the folks at LalaJava and boy were they right! Friendly owners and we had a falafel and kibbee wrap with lentil soup and fava beans. The spiciness choice was new to us and its a bit more spicy than harissa. Go in And support this place — and they are good!
