Never had a single bad thing here. Prices are reasonable, portions are big, food is delicious. Appetizers, pizza, strombolis, subs, salads, we’ve tried them all and never had a bad experience. Highly recommended.

Awesome cheesesteaks. Buffalo chicken pizza is legit as well. Chicken Parmesan sub is best I’ve ever had!

Very disappointed… ordered Spaghetti & Meatballs(was very dry, no sauce), Caesar salad(no Cheese), garlic bread(black soot on bottom and not a bit of garlic on it). Pizza and sandwiches are fine but don’t waste your money on dinner…

Like everyone says best Pizza around! Garlic knots are the best two! They still have pizza coupons in the phone book still

Absolute best pizza around. Other places just fall short to the quality of food that Mario’s offers. Great service, good food, clean restaurant.

A Northampton institution! Tony and Frank have a great business. I’ve never seen a place as busy as Mario’s before Superbowl last year. Sandwiches are all good and the pizza is even better. This is the type of home town place where you will see the same faces each time you arrive and you will inevitably stare at the menu not being able to decide and wishing you had a second stomach.

I don’t live in the area anymore. If I get to pass through I get Marios! Great pizza. Calzone, Stromboli and sandwiches!

While the pizza is just okay(I’m not really a pizza person), everything else on the menu is fantastic. The staff are always friendly, and know how to deal with lunch/dinner rushes. My least favorite thing about this place is that they do not deliver. We usually end up ordering from other places, rather than call in and pick up. On that note, if you plan on picking food up, call ahead, so it will be ready by the time you get there.

As others have said, sometimes Marios can be quite quite busy and sometimes their pizza slips a bit, however, they do normally have very good plain and pepperoni pizza. I havent had anything else from the restaurant because everyone in our family likes the pizza so much. I would probably suggest take out vs dining in as well.

One thing you can say about Mario’s is that they have consistency DOWNPAT! The pizza is always the same, and you always know what you’re getting. Ordered a couple of plain slices and they were yummy as always. I have ordered other things from the menu before and unfortunately, it is all using the same sauce. I will stick with pizza there.

I think the pizza here is great. Thin crust and the gravy is outta this world. When we want good pizza me and my girlfriend will drive all the way here from Macungie. Keep up the great pizza marking Marios.

I am giving Mario’s 5 stars because their specialty pizzas are amazing. My favorite is the Sicilian Tomato Basil. Deep crust that is perfectly cooked(not over or under cooked) and quality ingredients. Their normal pizza is decent, but probably closer to 3 star quality. A base pizza is well priced, but toppings are really expensive. And certain toppings they will go overboard on while others they skimp on even though you had to pay so much. For example, if I order sausage/pepperoni/green pepper I usually barely get any pepperoni, sausage is about right, and they go overboard with green pepper. The green pepper is usually cut really thick as well so it stays solid and awkward to eat. This is every time I order it, not just 1 experience. I haven’t tried many of their other foods, but I don’t like their cheese steaks at all. Other people I have spoken to like them though, so maybe it is just preference.

Good food, sometimes great food! But the service is the worst, if you deign to dine in. We once sat at a table, without being acknowledged at all! That was our 3rd negative experience. We will not return.

Everybody says that the pizza is the best. Not if your from Buffalo, where the pizza can’t be beat. However, the Grinders are what I call the best sandwiches in the local area.

they really excel at Sicilian pizza, possibly the best i’ve ever had! amazing sauce. their thin crust is good and the ingredients fresh, but i think it’s a little pricey for what it is. ordered a few hoagies from them and haven’t really been impressed. haven’t had any dinners. the counter staff is always happy and courteous and they have a better than average take-out beer selection for a pizza joint. Mario’s is good.

Best pizza in Northampton. The Sicilian is the way to go. It’s worth trying to eat it all on the day you get it. Sure, you will feel like a fatty. But it’s just not as good the next day.

Best pizza ever! Really wish they would deliver. If your planning a little dinner date with your husband wife gf bf etc its a great place to pop in and pick up some food and wine to go. Sometimes its crazy packed in there so I suggest calling your order in. The breaded mushrooms are to dye for and they give a decent amount for the price. Def the best place to eat in northampton.

We order take-out from Mario’s once a week. The pizza is good but it is best to order with a topping so they make it fresh for you. During busy periods they make extra plain pizzas which may not be as hot and fresh as they could be. When the pizza IS hot and fresh it is OHSOGOOD! The eggplant parm sandwich is hit or miss. Sometimes it is like heaven on a roll but the last one I had tasted freezer burnt and was soggy. We usually have pizza night on Thursday because the weekends at Mario’s are crazy busy. Also be aware of local event nights. Mario’s is just better when they are not too busy. I would like to rate a 3 ½ but that is not an option.
