Backyard Birds

This is a great a great little find in Northampton. Perfect for that hard to find gift or also perfect for someone who loves birding. The employees were all very knowledgeable and went out of their way to help me find the perfect solution to the pesky squirrels eating my bird seed! Also there is jeweler that works in the back of the store (random!) and that’s another reason this place such a unique find.

This is my first Unilocal review… yay! This year I started building a bird friendly environment in my backyard. A couple months after setting up the bird feeders and enjoying the lovely song birds… The squirrels took over! I had been researching how to handle this situation however most of the feedback was not very helpful. This is until I found Pat at Backyard Birds. She gave me a combination of 2 different seeds that squirrels don’t like and sure enough after 2 weeks… we have no squirrels!!! Although I didn’t initially buy my feeders and food (huge mistake because i am now stuck with a 40lb bag of food that attracjs squirrels) at this store, I’ve decided to do all future birding buys at Backyard Birds. Thanks for your help, Pat!

This place is interesting! I have bought a really nice birdfeeder as a gift. If you’re looking for a nice gift for people in pioneer valley, this is a place to go!
In addition, they have a watch repair business inside the store. I brought my watc, and this nice gentleman repairs it at the spot. He did a good job and didn’t charge me as much as other store estimated.
If you need a watch repair and/​or bird feeders, you gotta check it out!!!
